Cottage holiday rentals in Waneta Lake

Thank you for our wonderful stay this weekend. Your place is the quintessential lake cottage. Everything we needed was supplied and at our fingertips, without being overrun with “stuff.” Well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. It was a cool, rainy weekend and we took full advantage of the bedroom fireplaces and extra blankets! Would love to come back to enjoy summer-time at your place. Thank you!

The Diane and Tom were very responsive and helpful from local attractions to helping provide tools when we had car trouble. The space was very welcoming and even had local coffee, s'mores makings, and other snacks. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing at anytime of the day and the lake was within walking distance. The only downside was an uncomfortable master bed, but the other 3 beds were like sleeping on clouds! The water is not drinkable due to taste, but we brought our own.

We had a great time here on the lake. The house was stocked with kitchen needs, water activities, towels, comfortable bedding, coffee, and bathroom amenities. We spent most of our trip swimming in the lake, kayaking, and sitting in the hot tub. Great location to Watkins glen and the wine trail. Would love to come back for another trip!

Beautiful home right on the lake. The weather was a bit cold and rainy while we were there so we didn't use the outside space as much as planned, but the spacious living room and dining room were perfect for our 8-person group plus a 7 month old! Tons of space to spread out, play games, read, and play with baby. There were mega blocks, a play mat, a high chair, a changing table, a crib, and everything we could need for our baby. The hot tub was also fantastic for the colder days. We used the firepit as well and there were plenty of Adirondack chairs for our group our there. Two of our cars are electric, so the charger was a big plus! This is a wonderful find and we would love to book again later in the summer! Perfect for the whole family. We cooked a few time while here, and the kitchen had the basics like toaster, cooking utensils, pans, knives, etc. Lots of cups and glasses for making drinks, too.

The location was perfect to attend a wedding at Fountainbleu Inn (just a short walk to venue). Also, the location next to lake was wonderful. We had plenty of bedrooms with linens/towels and extras like trash bags, paper towels, toiletries, dish soap etc was very nice. The kitchen had what we needed to cook for 10+ people, except crock pot and griddle (which we brought from home). We enjoyed the hot tub and used the propane grill on the large deck. The owner stays close by and was in communication often.

The cottage was lovely, clean, and cozy. It was well equipped with everything you'd need in terms of kitchen utensils and shower supplies. The only thing I would mention that I didn't see in the listing or any other reviews is that while the cottage is one level (except for the few stairs on the dock), there are about 25-30 steps from the street level to even get to the house. Once you park, (across the street from the mailbox- this was also a little unclear at first, but Garrett was quick to answer questions) you will have to walk down those steps to get inside the house. It wasn't a problem for us, but if someone has mobility troubles, it's important to know before you go.

Amazing place we rented both cottages and Frank was more then accommodating for our stay, we would like to come back yearly!

Very nice little home which sits on Seneca lake. A beautiful view of the sunset the lake is in full view sitting in the house. Everything was there for us as far as toiletries and bath supplies and a full kitchen.

We celebrated our 40th Anniversary at this lovely cottage surrounded by fields of grapes and a beautiful view and lake setting. We were very comfortable and enjoyed all the surrounding nature, restaurants and wineries. Mary was very responsive and gave us perfect directions and information. We definitely would stay at this Cozy Cottage again!

We enjoyed our five night stay at Camille’s place. It was a fantastic hub for waterfalls and lake day trips. We also walked to the glass museum and to downtown restaurants a few times. The place was full of cozy amenities and we had everything we needed. We loved the outdoor spaces! Front and back porch areas are gems.

We had a terrific stay! Phillip was proactive and responsive. Check-in and check-out were easy . There were personal touches, snacks and wine awaiting us upon arrival! The house is beautifully located on the lake with great sunrises and views. Close to Hammondsport and many great wineries. Highly recommend!

This cabin was blissfully comfy and clean - we slept so incredibly well and baked tons of cookies for our potluck gathering the next day in Rochester, which was a very easy drive. Kitchen is nicer than mine at home. Evening walks by the lake for stargazing was the fabulous top up to our delightful stay. 👌👌👌

Unfortunately we didn’t get to stay for long, we just needed a place to stop for the night, but Michele’s place was so beautiful and cozy we will definitely be back if we’re visiting the area again

Another great stay at this perfect home away from home. Nancy has thought of everything you and your pup will need for an incredibly comfortable vacation on the lake. There is a ton to do and explore in the surrounding area. Some of the highlights this year were the Geneva Lake trail, Grounded (cute cafe that allows dogs inside or out!), The Spotted Duck (amazing ice cream and they offer pup cups), Billsboro winery (chocolate truffle & wine pairing, also dog friendly), and Dean Lane Dining (no pets) in Dundee. And then there’s the magic of sunrise from Nancy’s deck and evenings just watching fish jumping, birds flying, and ducks swimming, all from the glider on the dock. Simple pleasures abound here.

Great spot! The cottage itself was perfect for my wife, myself and 2 small dogs. It was comfortable, private, and mostly quiet. I say mostly as it is located alongside the primary wine trail road for east Seneca lake, so you will occasionally hear some cars whizzing by, but not bad at all, especially when inside. The location for me was also a big highlight! Closely located to some wonderful wineries/breweries, good eats, and parks. Watkins Glen is only like a 15 min drive. I would stay here again.

The photos do not do this place justice! All I kept saying was “oh my god, wow, i love this” This was PERFECT for a cute getaway and the price was right in my ballpark. This stay is one I’ll be returning to!!

Our stay at Keuka Lake was great. The location is a great midway point between Penn Yan and Hammondsport and close to several wineries. The cottage was exactly as described and very clean and well appointed. The bed was super comfortable and we really liked the back deck and fire pit. All the neighbors were friendly and it was very quiet.

We came to see Goose at CMAC and wanted a full lake weekend and this definitely delivered! The place is beautiful, comfortable, and close to anything you’d want to do, would definitely stay again!

Stay here for the view alone! The cottage is quaint and sweet, with the most spectacular view and sunset. The house seemed familiar, lived in, with lots of character which was amazing. We had plenty of room and all the things we needed. Really enjoyed watching a little rain come by under the lanai. This spot is a hidden gem that’s super easy to access and close to amenities and communication with my host was great! Highly recommend

We had a great stay at this quaint, cozy cottage on beautiful Lake Seneca!

We had a great time at this beautiful lake house. While there are close neighbors, they are quiet and the lakefront area feels very private thanks to the trees. The kayaking and rowboat were a lot of fun. The house has quality furnishings and newer appliances. When we had a concern arise (through no fault of the owners), Mary responded immediately even though it was nearly 10 pm. She made the situation right as soon as humanly possible (first thing in the morning) and her husband actually drove all the way from Pennsylvania to check in with us, though we didn't ask or expect this. While he was there he also installed a new lakefront ladder and chatted with us about area attractions. I highly recommend this home and especially these hosts, who truly care about their guests' experience.

Wow - what a fantastic lakeside retreat! There must be 6 different places to sit/gather outside - the fire table was especially nice for sipping some Riesling on a chilly night. Well equipped kitchen, and lots of amenities (including kayaks if so inclined). Very quiet surroundings (we were there during the week-end, too), but you have to watch out for the seagulls - they like to hang out on the deck. Great location is within 1/2 hour of many excellent wineries and restaurants. Would definitely return here the next time we are in FLX!

We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage! Being right on the lake was amazing. Loved watching the sunsets, the ospreys flying by , sitting on the Adirondack chairs at the end of the dock! We felt right at home and are already talking about coming back again !

My sisters and I had a wonderful stay at this lake house. Kevin was a very communicative host and made sure to greet us at check-in and even left us a bottle of wine to enjoy. He had many recommendations for food and drinks in the area. The house was exactly as pictured and the kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. The house was very close to a lot of the wineries and breweries and watkins glen state park. I would definitely stay here again next time i'm in the finger lakes.
