“The house is perfectly packed. Very clean. Every detail is so thoughtful! We travel a lot and stayed at Airbnb places in many different countries: this house is the first one where you can find literary everything. You can easily stay in here for a week and have everything handy. Speaking from the business point of view, the approach is very smart and long perspective. You can easily fit 3 couples of people in this house. Tons of towels, kitchen gadgets, fast WiFi, instant hot water (no need to wait at all), quite place, fire pit logs are ready but you probably wouldn’t need them since where are many old tree brunches all over the place. There is a wheel barrow for your convenience. Fun for kids for sure. The pond beach is literally 10 minute drive.”
4WD/AWD REQUIRED!! Secluded and cozy cabin overlooking the Shenandoah River and bordering the George Washington National Forest. The recently renovated cabin features a wood fireplace, wrap around deck, screened in porch, outdoor fire pit, and hot tub. The cabin is a hiker’s dream with a private access trail leading to the Massanutten Circuit Trail. Guests can also enjoy access to the Shenandoah River. **Please Note: Driveway is Steep -- AWD/4WD REQUIRED at all times.”
“My wife, pooch, and I had wonderful long weekend soaking up the mountain air and views. The view from the balcony at sunrise as the clouds clear or sunset are not to be missed. From a mid-afternoon nap in the screened in porch to nights in the hot tub, you really don't even have to leave the property to properly unwind. That being said the local towns of Mauerville and Woodstock are a quick drive away and there are many hikes, wineries, etc. within a 20 min drive. The cabin is great and has a lot of helpful tips and touches around the unit including coffee, well labeled instructions, extra blankets, dishes, etc. Hosts were helpful with tips, communications, and a bit of logistical support as we arrived. Thanks again and we home to visit again in the near future!”
Our rustic river cabin is just feet from the beautiful Cacapon river. We have a huge wrap around screen porch. The beds are comfy, the kitchen is well stocked and the bathroom was completely remodeled in April of 2019. Pets are welcome to join you. We have fishing poles and 3 kayaks (available to rent), as well as a bbq grill. There are Adirondack chairs by the river bank for your enjoyment and a fire pit. This cabin is not secluded. The river parallels the road and you will hear vehicle noise.
“This cabin has a great screen porch and is solidly constructed and updated. The kitchen has most anything you'll need (except a dishwasher - as is clear from the listing), including pots and pans, mixing bowls, a crock pot, a potato peeler, and a good supply of starter spices, coffee, dish soap etc. It is complemented by the charcoal grill and grilling accessories Gina provides. We also loved the firepit with chairs looking out into the river (really a side channel - the water in the summer is low enough to wade into and is separated from the main river by an 'island' where we saw deer). At the beginning of my stay, the internet was slow and spotty, but Jeana had a technician in to upgrade the internet service and after that it was solid and fast enough for video calls. (Thanks!) The screen porch significantly extends the living space and has electricity, a table, a swing etc. The screen porch is wonderful, but does have some holes in the floor so some bugs will get in, although nothing that bites as far as I could tell. Inside the living room and the bedroom are equally nice. Jeana provides a first aid kit and extras in the bathroom such as shampoo and body wash, a spare toothbrush, etc. Traffic from the road didn't bother us and we slept well. It's so dark there. Many trucks use the road at night, but Jeana provides a white noise machine to help with that issue. My son asked if we could return and we may do just that!”
