We had a wonderful stay in this cottage. The setting is perfect with canal walks straight from the door. The cottage is light, spacious and beautifully decorated. The enclosed garden is very private and there was plenty of space for our dog to explore. Amy was a great host. She provided everything we needed and left us an amazing box of goodies. We would highly recommend this property and would love to stay again.

What a wonderful place for a peaceful break away. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a lovely addition too! My son, who loves wildlife photography, absolutely adored the river. He spent every possible moment down there photographing Kingfishers! I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves birds and wildlife.

Stunning property, location was great for the wedding we attended in Poulton, it would also serve as a great base for exploring the local area. The house was exceptionally clean and Jill was very proactive and flexible with the sleeping arrangements for the 8 adults in our family party. It was very homely with everything you would possibly need. Jill even ran out with her personal sewing kit when we had a wardrobe emergency which saved the day. The bedrooms were lovely and spacious and the bedding luxurious. The bathrooms were spotless, We would highly recommend a stay here, it did not disappoint in the slightest. Worth every penny!!

what an absolutely amazing place to visit, with one of the moat picturesque views of the Yorkshire Dale anyone could wish from right in the backgarden. the cottage is spotless and has everything you could want for a break away.

We had such a lovely long weekend with our grown up children. The cottage was so relaxing . Lovely private grounds. Short walk to two private beaches . We really enjoyed having the optional hot tub and sauna . We played games in the garden , visited some lovely walks. A very chilled place. Ruth and Mark are great hosts. Thank you.

We have just returned from a few nights away staying at this little piece of paradise. If you’re after a tranquil, relaxing holiday then this is the place to stay. From the house itself, to the spectacular views , the amazing pool house and the lovely, friendly neighbours, this place ticks all the boxes and more. Highly recommend visiting The Queens Arms for a meal (or just a cheeky drink), the staff are so friendly and just made our time away extra special. Malham is only a 20 min (ish) drive away and is stunning (a must see). The only thing I would advise is to make sure you take plenty of supplies (or do an online shop for delivery as we did) as the local shop is a 20min drive away. Thankyou again David, we will definitely be back.

Wonderful 5-night stay at Chestnut Cottage after Rob completed the Great Glen Way & West Highland Way in 6 days! @freemanwalking on YouTube 😀 The hot tub was a real treat for soothing sore muscles. Stunning bay views made the cottage the perfect place to relax. The bed was super comfy, and we loved the little extra touches like the soft robes and complimentary tea, coffee, and milk. Just a short, scenic walk along the promenade to the village for supplies. The weather wasn’t the best, but the cosy cottage more than made up for it. Highly recommend! Thank you Gemma

We have had a wonderful time at Granary Cottage. The place was spotless, extremely well equipped and comfortable in a fabulous part of the country with so many super places to eat and to visit. All Peter’s information was so helpful, thank you. It is by far one of the best properties we have ever stayed in, in both this country and across the world. Wonderful stay in Staveley. The cottage was perfect and very well looked after and everything you need. The beds were so comfortable we didn’t want to get up! Perfect location for exploring the Lake District with a bus stop 1 minute walk from the cottage and bus service was very reliable. Very peaceful and great garden to relax in after a day of exploring. Would definitely recommend a stay here if you’re looking for a base in the Lake District.

Myself, my wife, kids and dogs had a fantastic stay in high Bentham. What a great location, plenty to do which ever way you like to turn out of the cottage. We’d like to thank Lee for the great stay, which was clean and as described in the listing. Plenty of room for us all over the 3nights 4days. If we’re ever back in the area, we will be contacting Lee again that’s for sure!

This was the perfect place to stay in Cartmel! Close to everything, yet quiet even when the races were on. The place was cosy and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!!

Just like previous reviews, I have only positive things to say about Anthony and this property. The photos don’t do the house and location justice. The house had everything we needed, was clean, tidy and comfortable. The location is so peaceful and neighbours all very friendly. The local shop is a 5 minute walk as is the local pub (with another pub about a 15 minute walk away through the village). My wife and 2 kids absolutely loved this place and it made for what was a very relaxing weekend. I will definitely be returning here! Anthony was also very proactive in emailing out instructions & directions and also very quick to respond to messages which was very reassuring. I would 100% recommend this place!

Alison is a delightful lady. So kind and helpful. Her cottage ( we stayed in Jemima Puddleduck) was very comfortable. Beds and pullows especially and all spotlessly clean. All we needed was provided Alison had thought of everything. We had a fantastic week. Thank you.

this cottage is perfect for a little family retreat, my daughter loved seeing bits of the farm and some animals roaming around, me and my wife loved how secluded it was peaceful and quiet. comfortable interior thought all rooms and great host, lots of local attractions for all ages highly recommended

My wife and I stayed 4 nights at Crook a Beck Barn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property. It is well equipped, with a great kitchen, plenty of wardrobe space and a large walk in shower alongside a large bath. It is in a peaceful setting with beautiful views and has all levels of walks available straight from the property. We enjoyed the extras especially the lemon drizzle cake made by Judith. We will definitely books this property again on our next visit to Patterdale.

A beautiful apartment down a quiet one track lane, with fabulous sea views. The accommodation was immaculate, warm and welcoming, with plenty of room to chill and relax. We visited Arnside Knott with it's glorious views, and toured Windermere. Unfortunately this meant we did not have time to visit the grounds or walk down to the nearby coast. It would be worth returning just for that! Our hosts were friendly, efficient and welcoming. I would recommend them and their properties wholeheartedly.

Me and my partner stayed here for a weekend away and it was amazing. The cottage itself was beautiful on the inside and out. Very clean and tidy and had every amenity you could want. From a coffee machine to a food processor. There were also a variety of board games and helpful books about the cottage and activities. Very very spacious given the price and felt very luxurious and cosy. Felt immediately at home and I would LOVE to come and stay again once the barn is renovated as that also looks amazing. We went on a walk and saw some stunning views, while of course stopping to see the cows. Amazing amazing amazing. Would absolutely go again!

Stunning location with scenic views from inside the house. Very clean and aesthetically decorated. Peaceful surroundings and not too far from the lakes. We stayed for one night only but would definitely go back for a longer sky-gazing holiday next time.

We totally love it! The cottage is in great condition and the interior is very warm and cute. Full equipped kitchen, cozy living room with huge tv screen, spotless bathroom and toilet and really comfy beds. Joanne and Jon are very helpful and kind which is a massive plus. It’s our first time in the area but we will defiantly come back!
