Family-friendly holiday rentals in Washington Heights, Manhattan

This home was perfect for my siblings and their kiddos to meet up for a nice long weekend. Kerry made us feel very welcomed and was super responsive when we had questions. The sunroom was one of my favorite places in the house. The kids enjoyed playing both outdoors and indoors. The neighborhood was quiet and the kitchen was stocked. Just a short drive to the mall and plenty of places to eat. We would gladly stay again.

Tina was awesome to work with! Very accommodating of our group at the last minute. Her place was clean and the WiFi held up with 8 of us happily posting on social media. The short walk to the waterfront offers some of the best views of New York City. I would stay again as would the rest of my group.

The house was everything it advertised, and Anca was a wonderful host, she was helpful and responsive. The kitchen was spotless and well stocked, best stocked kitchen I’ve ever experienced in an AirBnB! The appliances worked perfectly, the bedrooms were comfy, and the bathrooms clean and nicely finished. Lastly, Anca’s house had some of the nicest touches I’ve experienced, like cell phone charging cords in many rooms!

Mal is an awesome host. Very responsive and willing to adapt to everything that we needed. He even let us check in early and out late if we needed it. Gave us great recommendations on where to go shopping and fishing.

The place was amazing everything was in order and me and my friends had an amazing time. I definitely would stay over again.

Og provided us with seamless instructions. Parking is a little tricky but that’s anywhere near NYC. If you’re looking to impress someone this apartment has the right views and right vibes to set the right tone and mood. The view of Manhattan is breathe taking and it’s right out your front door. Also extremely affordable considering the Billion Dollar view. Looking forward to staying again next time I’m in the city!

Mark is an extremely responsive host. The cottage was quaint and had exactly what we needed for our stay. It was clean, and he was proactive about communication with us as well as responsive when we had questions. The area has lots of great restaurants but is still safe and quiet. We will absolutely be back as I visit the area often. Five star review!

Jennifer’s place is very clean and comfortable. Great location—the LIRR, restaurants, supermarket, beach, and library are all walkable from the AirBNB. Jennifer is a very thoughtful host. I loved that the bedding and towels were fragrance-free. She also lent her beach towels, chairs and umbrella (and beach passes when needed)—such a wonderful perk!

Our stay was fantastic and an absolute breeze, the apartment is in a great location, very central and super clean. Communication was great and we would definitely consider staying here again next time we are in New York, the proximity to New York was so good. I will definitely recommend this place. Vanessa was responsive and kind. Jersey City has a nice laid-back vibe and is super close via train to New York City. This is a great place, clean and modern, and located very near the center of town. Plenty of windows and natural light with blinds for privacy, although some of them were perhaps not operating perfectly. It’s a three floor walk up so maybe not great for anyone with mobility issues, but we enjoyed the extra exercise. It’s a residential neighborhood, but as a light sleeper, I always travel with earplugs, and I definitely needed to use them here just for vehicle traffic and the occasional loud passer by. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. The bed is quite comfortable, but more of a double than a queen, not atypical for urban areas. I am really used to that when it comes to Airbnb stays. If you feel too cramped, you can always send your partner out to the comfortable couch. Check out the Archer, Ani Ramen and Wurstbar.

Brian's place was exactly as described, and a perfect home base for our family of 3. Very clean, comfortable, and in a wonderful part of Brooklyn. Felt at home -- we would stay again!

As described, a charming, comfortable home on a beautiful property in a convenient yet peaceful very "New Englandy" neighborhood The house is a great place to spend time arfeceive friends, really well appointed from kitchen gear to a playroom that is made for toddlers, very comfortable sitting areas with lots of light and the bedrooms that are all quite comfortable and give all a nice level of privacy. Deirdre was a top notch host, always responsive and accommodating. No hesitations in recommending her house - probably our best Airbnb experience to date. Hope it will be available for our next visit to the Stamford area.

My husband and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the amazing home of Peter and Jess! It is so welcoming, beautifully laid out and has every amenity a guest could need, plus extra thoughtful touches. Check-in was a breeze, the home was immaculate and our bedroom seriously had the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! Having the rarity of a backyard to enjoy - especially in Brooklyn - was such an added bonus, and they went out of their way to welcome our dogs! The location was perfect - everything you could ever need, including restaurants and shops, is in walking distance. We were able to find nearby parking throughout our visit. The privilege of being guests in their beautiful home for the weekend of our son's wedding added so much enjoyment and comfort to such a celebratory event!

Mac allowed us to check in early, which was a huge help as we traveled with our 93-year-old dad. Upon arrival, the check-in instructions were clear and accurate. The house was clean and actually looked even better than the pictures. The pool was very nice, and my brother swam every day we were there. It was great to have a full kitchen stocked with a plethora of cutlery, plates, cups, pots, and pans. We had a small issue with the tv as it stopped working. Mac was on it immediately, and the tv came back on within 30 minutes or so. Although it was buffering when we first arrived, whatever Mac had his ISP do to the modem/router, the tv and internet worked seamlessly afterward. Overall, it was a great stay, and we would stay here again. We were very pleased with the home! Thank you, Mac and Shama for being such gracious hosts!

This place is fantastic. We needed a place while we renovate our home. The staff is fantastic, the apartments really nice and spacious. Amenities are great too. Commute is super easy to Manhattan …walk to express bus and less than 30 min. Highly recommend.

Another peaceful stay at this property. This Airbnb has everything. Definitely a home away from home. Did I mention there’s a pool to cool off in the summer! Nature and everything you will need. Just walk with yourself and clothing. Erica

I stayed for the month of April with my dog and everything was great. The grounds are well maintained and the building has a ton of amenities including garage parking. Would recommend to anyone looking for a short term rental!

The place worked perfectly for what I had needed. Travel a lot for work, and this time my wife and son came to visit for a few days of the stay. Host was very nice and helped us with accommodations and recomendations of local eateries. Very much enjoyed our time here, would stay again.
