Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Washington Island

It was such a beautiful location with plenty of wildlife to see walking through the back yard. It was the perfect location to catch the early Ferry to Washington Island.

Great place for our family to gather, play games, hike and explore Sturgeon Bay! Beautiful home with all conveniences we needed. Plenty of bird watching in front of home, and hiking in Potowotami SP was a blast. Dan was a phenomenal host and felt he was available any time to answer questions or provide direction. Can’t wait to return!

This was the perfect place for my three friends and I to spend a week together relaxing, recharging, and enjoying the gorgeous scenery. The house is cozy, comfortable, and felt like home as soon as we got there. The antiques throughout the house are cool and add a really unique touch to the place. We spent a lot of time just sitting down by the lake. It is truly just a short little walk out the back door to the shore. I am already thinking about booking another stay here!

We stayed at Winding Down for our 25th anniversary. We've been coming to Door County for over 25 years, and we've stayed at some nice places. But this is easily the nicest we've encountered. The space is expansive, but still cozy, quiet, serene and inviting. It is also immaculate. We enjoyed the selections of artwork and the attention to detail throughout the house. At one point we needed James's help with the refrigerator, and he was quick to provide assistance. It was also really enjoyable chatting with him. If the place is available again during our anniversary week, we'd love to return.

We stayed here for a week over Labor Day weekend with three adult couples and two small kids (1 and 3). The house was perfect for us! The interior matched the description and photos. The kitchen was well stocked and the linens were clean. We enjoyed the breeze with the windows open (it was cool enough that we didn’t need the new AC) and loved sitting on the sun porch and back deck. The kids enjoyed the huge yard, slide, and swing outside and toys/books inside. We used the fire pit every night. Nice view of Lake Michigan from the deck and close walk to Alby’s and the Red Cup. I imagine some of the 4 star reviews are because the house is older, which is what we expected on Washington Island. But Melissa and Ben have made nice updates to the bathrooms, kitchen, patio, and the furniture was mostly new. It felt clean. They were proactive and easy to communicate with. Checkin/checkout was easy. We’ll stay again!

Beautiful location with views of Little Bay de Noc. Fenced in backyard is great for dogs and the property is "green" friendly, even had pipes, papers and a grinder. For those that don't care for that smell (like my wife), no worries! She couldn't detect even a faint whiff. Huge driveway if you have your boat or ATVs and a fire pit out back. Definitely recommend if you're visiting the Escanaba area.

We enjoyed a long weekend with both sets of parents and our toddler and infant. Lots of thought and detail at the house that made it feel cozy and comfortable. Beautiful space! Having the kids room with kid stuff made things so nice and convenient. One thing we didn’t realize when booking was that one of the advertised bedrooms was in the open loft so to access the other bedrooms and upstairs bathroom you were walking though the bedroom space. Would book again.

Gorgeous view with everything you could ask for! The next time we plan to visit the island we sure hope this home is available!

What a beautiful place to stay. Walking distance of downtown, restaurants/bars, and the beach. Loved the balcony. Spotless!

This was the perfect place for a girls trip to door county! Cute and cozy vibes and was nice being on the water! Would stay again!

The house is wonderfully situated within walking distance of the Fox River, Downtown, Riverwalk, farmer's markets. A convenience store and Family Dollars are steps away. We found this classic older home very well maintained and especially enjoyed the beautiful wood floors and real wood furniture. The beds were comfortable and the whole apartment gets lots of natural light. We certainly would return here if it is available on our next trip to Green Bay.

I had an amazing stay in Door County at Nicole’s place! The location is perfect, right next to a beautiful nature preserve, offering a peaceful and serene environment both inside and out. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at Lauri's loft. While it is not luxurious, it is very clean and well appointed. In particular, the kitchen had pretty much everything you could ask for in a short stay. It was very comfortable and we greatly appreciated being able to stay there with our dog. We enjoyed the close walk to town and easy access everywhere. Highly recommend this stay!

This place was perfect for our family! The large backyard was perfect for outdoor games for all the kids and the pool was very nice! Bonus that we could walk to the winery and cheese store! Very convenient location for exploring all of door county!

Quiet, restful location. The little porch was a nice touch. On the small side. Perfect for a couple, as I can't imagine sharing the space with kids. The location is perfect for exploring the Door. We did not use the pools, but would have if we remembered our suits! Well stocked kitchen if you feel like cooking, but no salt/pepper could be found. A pleasant stay overall!

Everything met or exceeded our expectations. We loved the location, enjoying two meals at the Old Post Office just down the road. Had a question for Meghan upon arrival, and she answered almost immediately. Would not hesitate at all to return!

We had a wonderful time staying at Renae's place for our weekend getaway and it was absolutely beautiful. The view out of the window is breathtaking and the apartment itself is really well kept. Renae was a really nice host with great communication and had special touches throughout the place that made the stay very memorable. We would definitely come back to stay here when visiting in the future.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, spotless condo. We had everything we needed and the location was great with shops, restaurants and park within easy walking distance. Maddie provided excellent local recommendations and was very responsive, communicating everything we needed to know. Highly recommend this condo and outstanding host!

My girlfriends and I had an amazing time at Mary’s place! The location is absolutely perfect!. Walkable to everything and a beautiful view of the marina. The amenities are wonderful, good quality sheets/bedding. We would definitely recommend!!

Great place and our host Leah is terrific with all info-sorry really couldn’t rate outside and walkability due to quite a bit of rain but that only made us appreciate the inside even more- much thanks for a very enjoyable visit!
