Waterfront holiday rentals in Watamu

Silvias Apartment liegt in einer geschlossenen Anlage in Watamu, nah an einem der schönsten Strände in Watamu. Das Apartment ist großzügig ausgestattet mit sämtlichen Annehmlichkeiten, es fehlte an nichts. Sogar einen Wasserspender haben wir vorgefunden. Ein sehr komfortables Bett in dem man wirklich sehr gut schläft. Wir waren in der Nebensaison für 3 Tage hier, leider hat es an einem Tag geregnet, aber gibt einen riesigen Fernseher im Schlafzimmer, wir konnten es uns gemütlich machen. Alles im allen perfekt für einen gelungenen Aufenthalt in einer sehr guten Gegend im Watamu. Silvias Apartment wird immer wieder in unserer Wahl einbezogen wenn wirksam nächste Mal wieder in der Gegend sind.

The stay was nice and the hosts, Irene and Till were super friendly. The pool was great. Would definitely recommend and come back. Best Birthday vacation and they made part of it so special.

That is a place worth staying. Warm-non heated pool. Peaceful environment. Good linen. Very responsive owner and caretaker services are very good. highly recommended will definitely book the same establishment next time in Malindi.

We stayed at Jean’s Paradise Retreat by the Beach and we were 2 families in 2 houses within the compound and Jean’s place was just lovely – Paradise it is. Jean was responsive, both before our arrival and during our stay and her housekeeper Keziah was just heaven sent – took great care of our kids, kept the place spotless and cooked meals that we all enjoyed. This is a beautiful home, well appointed with the kitchen appliances and conveniences that you would need. We loved the green spaces that provided room for our little ones to play though most of our time was spent in the large swimming pool, lying on the sunbeds under the palm trees on the beach and swimming in the ocean. Overall, we really enjoyed our holiday and the family is already asking when we shall return. I have no hesitation in recommending Jean’s place whether for family with kids or without – the place is a gem and was a wonderful discovery for us. Thank you Jean and thank you Keziah!

We had a wonderful stay at Trizah’s place! The property is absolutely stunning just as pictured and offers a truly peaceful and relaxing experience. It was definitely worth it! 🏖️ As a first-time visitor to Malindi, I found the guidebook incredibly helpful. The home is located in a safe area with easy access to transportation and plenty of places to explore and eat. 🌅 Trizah’s housekeeper, Lynette, was professional, kind, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. Die Unterkunft hat alle meine Erwartungen erfüllt. Sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeberin. Extrem saubere Unterkunft mit sehr guten Möglichkeiten für die sportlichen Aktivitäten. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Daniele's place was a wonderful and memorable experience for us. The staff members are super friendly, thumbs up to the security guard ;Tete and Michael. The cleaners Jacky and Amina, they are very friendly and helpful. Daniele's place was very clean and free of clutter. Many places to have activities and are all so close to each other. We will definitely come.

Our stay at Villa Mkauju was absolutely fantastic! The villa is stunning, offering tranquility and comfort. A big thank you to the wonderful staff who were incredibly attentive and made us feel at home. Special thanks to the owner for maintaining such a beautiful property. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a luxury getaway in Malindi. Can't wait to return!

Our stay at Gianluca’s house was absolutely amazing! Every detail was exquisitely handled from beginning to end. He arranged for transport to and from the airport, and the driver was highly knowledgeable about the area, and provided countless insights and ideas for our stay. Gisnluca also arranged for a talented chef, who prepared delicious meals for us all three days. The property was gated with 24/7 security, and housekeeping kept the place spotless during our time there. The layout was perfect for us; the kids and mother-in-law at the main house, and my wife and I stayed at the lovely guest house across the gorgeous swimming pool. I would highly recommend staying at Gianluca’s place to anyone visiting Watamu!

Joanna’s place was amazing. My daughter with 6 friends went there and Joanna was very supportive and welcoming. The house is large, breezy, in great conditions, with large en suite rooms. The girls had a cook who helped prepare breakfast and dinner for a very reasonable prize , the pool was cleaned daily and the place was excellent for groups of families or friends. I would highly recommend and we will definitely go back !

The place is beautiful, in a nice resort with a large pool and plenty of space to relax and enjoy the view, right on the beach. The host was super helpful and came to check in on us as soon as we arrived. The staff was also great, especially the chef who cooked delicious food for us

This is our 5th visit to The Beach House. We keep coming back for a bunch of reasons. Rehema, Ali and the rest of the staff are the best. The location right on the water with perfect views is unbeatable. Communication with Rory is consistently great. The top porch is some of my favorite square footage on the planet. And … have I mentioned how terrific Rehema is?

This is a wonderful home and we had a fabulous time. We came as 2 families of 4 (from London) + grandparents (from Nairobi) - so 10 of us in total. The house is beautiful - very charming and comfortable - and spills out onto the beach (via a private gated entrance). The kids loved playing in the small private pool and having daily walks out onto the reef in low-tide. The stretch of coastline the house is on is idyllic - about 20 min drive from Watamu town. The chef and staff are very attentive. We're all vegetarian and they handled that pretty well (though naturally they're more accustomed to a meat/seafood menu). As a family/group holiday venue, this is highly recommended.

This is a great little spot close to a beach, nice views and good breeze, and also very accessible to all parts of Watamu. I especially loved the unit itself and the swimming pool - perfect craftsmanship. There are good restaurants in walking distance too as well as the shops at peponi plaza. Special shoutout to Antonio who was very responsive and accommodating through our stay. I would happily return.

Federica’s place is beautiful - very spacious and the deck/views are wonderful. There is a gate and security that made us feel comfortable, and the pool and grounds are very well kept. It’s walkable to several restaurants and shops, with tuk tuks nearby as well. Would just caution anyone traveling during the low season (I think April to July) to look and see if restaurants are open; we struck out a few times at some places that are walkable from the Airbnb.

My parents and I had an absolutely lovely time at Shell House. Kevin, the chef, was amazing, and Mercy, the housekeeper, was very sweet. Helga was extremely communicative throughout, even being a great help during a check-in at 4AM online, as well as giving tons of recommendations. The location is lovely - it's a bit off from the rest of Watamu but connected to a beach with some small bars. One thing to know is that it's not the best ocean swimming spot as there are lots of blowfish and sea urchins and it's shallow. But the lovely salt-water pool made up for it! There's a generator in the property so power always comes back on quickly and the Wifi worked very well. Overall, we had a fantastic time. Thank you!!

We had a pleasant stay. Lots of amenities associated with the Gecko resort. Good restaurants not far away. Tribe Water Sports on the beach. Great Kite Boarding. Two big pools. Nightly entertainment. Daily cleaning.

Linda's Appartement sieht wirklich so aus, wie auf den Bildern, je nach Tide ist das Meer vielleicht dreißig Meter vom Balkon, der eher ein "Wintergarten" ist, komisches Wort bei stets 33°😊 Linda und Jemima, die Hilfe vor Ort sind immer gut zu erreichen, super nett und sehr flexibel, etwa mit dem Check Out. Die Anlage hat einen riesigen Pool und kein Restaurant, was entsprechend angenehme Ruhe beschert. 100m nach links ist die Coco Bär mit typischen Gerichten und Getränken, hundert Meter nach rechts Mariposa, ein Resort das sich italienischen Gästen und italienischer Küche widmet, in Laufweite auch weitere Restaurants und "Sehenswürdigkeiten". Durch das Appartement weht eine angenehme Brise und die Ausstattung reicht für einfache Gerichte. Der Preis war auch sehr entspannt, alles bestens und wir kommen gerne wieder (wenn wir dürfen;)

This is my 4th time staying at one of Denise's apartments in Gecko. Nice to have a mix of self catered apartment, but with the amenities of a resort. You also can't get a location better than this in Watamu. Highly recommended!

This was a prefect location for my family traveling with my elderly parents. Everyone was very helpful, the location is great and there is a wonderful mix of having the privacy of a two room self cater apartment but within a resort so that you have the best of both worlds including access to the swimming pools, restaurants and bars. Kitchen is basic but reasonably well appointed. A wonderful location and 5 minutes to the beach.
