House holiday rentals in West Des Moines

I stay in a lot of airbnbs every year and I’d have to rank this as one of the best. Everything is clean, modern, and updated. Furniture is high quality. The beds are amazing. The neighborhood is also quiet and peaceful. I wish I lived at this Airbnb, my entire crew and myself loved it.

Great place to stay . Very roomy lots of couches outside space was great. Comfortable beds the kitchen was great. They had everything you’d need. Totally recommend this place.

Great location...close to food, shopping and the RecPlex. Townhouse was immaculate and exactly like the pictures. Quiet neighborhood. I would definitely stay again.

We came to town for the Redbull soapbox derby and it was a nice quiet convenient place to come back to and relax. The pool, yard games and hot tub were nice for the young adults with us.

Thank you for the great set up in your home for a fun filled family long weekend while we celebrated our son’s graduation. The home had a very large open floor plan which made for a great set up for our large family. They loved the huge sun porch with table and chairs, large backyard, hot tub, pool and we had a fire every night at the fire pit with s’mores. The home is clean and maintained well and it was easy to communicate with Hannah. Thanks so much for the great Airbnb!

Beautiful and comfortable home! This house is a delight with lots of charming details and amenities. The house offers plenty of square footage with multi-use rooms and spaces throughout. The pool was beautiful, clean, and so much fun. We were in town to visit our son for his college graduation from Drake University. This home made the weekend even better for our family to celebrate the occasion. The location is close to everything and the neighborhood is historic and beautiful. We would highly recommend this home to anyone staying in the Des Moines area.

We absolutely loved our time here. This place is a gem - 10/10. The host was very welcoming, had wonderful communication and went above and beyond for our stay. The house is incredible, the pool and hot tub were amazing and everything is maintained very well. I saw some reviews about there only being one bathroom with a shower, our group of ladies were aware and planned accordingly and it was no issue for us at all (there is more than one bathroom to clarify, just one with a shower). There are TONS of comfortable spots throughout the house to get ready. We had many plans to get out in Des Moines while visiting, and we truly just never wanted to leave the house, we were enjoying it that much. We are already looking for dates to come back next year. The home is large and great for many people. The party barn was an amazing place to hang out with family and play games. The home and yard is very private, we saw deer running across the yard. The check in and check out was so easy.

Great host He communicated well and made everything so easy. He made me feel welcomed.

I had a wonderful stay. The house is so charming and beautifully decorated. The beds are very comfortable. While the house is small, it doesn’t feel cramped in the least. You have everything you need in a very workable space. If I need a place in DM again, this will be my first choice.

Derek’s place was perfect for us and will be our go to place in Des Moines! Located in Valley Junction where there are great restaurants, shops, and two blocks from a lovely park where we could take our two dogs. The dogs also loved the fully fenced in backyard. This location is also so convenient to grocery stores and has a beautiful Sacred Heart Church three minutes away. This Airbnb not only had two big bedrooms downstairs but a lovely bedroom area upstairs with bathroom. Bright, airy, clean and great location!

Loved our stay in Des Moines! My brother in laws and I came in town for a half Ironman. Debbie was amazing to work with through the entire process and it turns out she had done some herself. So in addition to a beautiful home, with great accommodations, we also received helpful tips and words of motivation from her as well. Race weekend turned into a full family affair and l can’t thank her enough for her flexibility in working with us to make the stay as comfortable as possible for everyone involved. Some “on the fly”adjustments were made and she was extremely helpful and gracious throughout. Thank you for making such a special weekend that much better! “Iowa Nice” was experienced in full effect!

We were in West Demoines for the half ironman. Denika's house was relatively close to the race venue and it was also located very neary shopping and other conveniences. The neighborhood was quiet and the house fit our needs perfectly.

We stayed in the house with two families while in town for a baseball tournament. The kids had a great time at the house playing in the backyard and basement. The hot tub was a hit. The host even had shampoo and conditioner along with some other toiletries. We would definitely stay again.

Summer’s home was cozy and the perfect location for my family to stay for a wedding we attended at Magnolia Farms. Easy access to I-80 to get to Des Moines and peaceful enough location we could easily walk to the park with the toddler. The local restaurant nearby was great too!

Melissa’s place was perfect for our group. Very spacious and had many nice added touches to make our stay great! We will look stay here again in the future!

This little home was so perfect in every way. They had fun activities like board games and toys for kids. The kitchen was wonderful and had a few snacks in place, which was extremely thoughtful. We enjoyed the train going by (it wasn't very loud and passed by relatively quick). The bed was so comfy after a day of exploring Iowa! Overall, I really enjoyed our stay in Iowa. It felt like a like a perfect little home away from home. Now, I can't wait for us to come back to visit again!

The Draper is such a cool house! Meghan has set it up in such a fun and engaging way - feels like a trip within itself. Felt like being launched back in time.

We had a great time. 5 cousins that had not all been together for over 10 years. The house was very spacious. We spent most of our time on the beautiful back porch catching up. We never even made it to the game room in the basement. Justin had a book that told us about the home and how we could take care of it. So much better than a hotel and Trang to find a space for us all to congregate!

We had a wonderful stay at Russell’s place in Des Moines for the Half Ironman! The house was spacious, very clean, and incredibly comfortable. It was also super close to the race, which made everything so convenient. Russell was great with communication and very flexible—we really appreciated that. Highly recommend staying here!

We got this place for my buddies wedding weekend and it was fantastic. The host was great, very responsive and kind. Keeping this place saved for future purposes!

We stayed here for my sister’s wedding, and it was absolutely perfect! The location couldn’t have been more convenient— which made everything so much easier during such a busy weekend. The space was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Honestly, I don’t know what we would have done without it! 10/10—highly recommend for anyone visiting downtown Des Moines, especially for events or with family!!!
