We stayed in Oak Cottage at Elms Farm Cottages and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Carol was a fantastic host - very communicative, flexible and helpful and the cottage was perfect - very comfortable and with excellent amenities - all the small things taken care of. We would highly recommend staying here and would love to come back one day.

A really ideal place to stay with simple but great facilities and careful thoughts to the details. Check in was easy and there is plenty of on street parking. The place was spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful break here and it worked as the perfect base for our long weekend visiting Cadwell Park. We will certainly be back and would recommend anyone looking for somewhere to stay in this area to strongly consider the Shamba, it truly was an idyllic setting and had everything we needed.

Great place to stay. Lovely surroundings, friendly working farm, my kids loved seeing the piglets and feeding them. A walk into Lincoln in just over an hour, through the fields, brilliant. We were looking for a private quiet relaxing weekend and across the hidden gem that ticked all the boxes.Jayne and Stuart were really welcoming and on hand if we needed anything.Highly recommend the dairy barn was immaculate and the hot tub was amazing not to mention the Inn on the green which was located at the bottom of the drive.If you are looking for a quiet getaway then this place comes 100% recommended with first class hosts Darren and Hazel from Sheffield.

Beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The milk and wine were much appreciated. Lots to do nearby. It was perfect for us, and Simon and Kay were lovely hosts.

The Old Parlour has been beautifully converted with lovely kitchen and bedrooms. The outdoor space is secure and peaceful. Wood fired hot tub was great touch.

We had the perfect stay here, and Nigel was super welcoming and helpful. The Hayloft is just a perfect home from home, and beautifully styled. It was such a peaceful location, with lovely dog walks. We visited Louth, and Cleethorpes, and had a great time at both. Nigel recommended places to eat, and we were not disappointed. So much to see and do, a long weekend was not enough. We plan to return, and explore some more. An absolutely beautiful location of the main road, but just 10 mins in a car to shops near by, and 20 mins to some amazing pubs for evening meals. Most places are also dog friendly, which makes life easier when travelling with your fur baby. You will not be disappointed staying here!

Rachel was a great host and the house is a beautiful place to stay. We both said it felt like being in a 5 star hotel but with the extra space and amenities. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and private getaway in the beautiful countryside.

Our stay at Claire and Neil's idyllic barn conversion annex was absolutely flawless! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the immaculate cleanliness and the thoughtful, generous welcome package that awaited us. Their communication was fantastic throughout, making everything incredibly smooth and stress-free. The high quality of the stay all round was evident in every detail. We particularly loved relaxing in the beautiful garden and on the decking area, which provided the perfect tranquil escape. We can't recommend this gem highly enough – a truly outstanding experience!

This was our first stay away with our puppy and this place was amazing! It was well kitted out for dogs and the house was beautiful and private! Lucinda was communicated well and kept in touch which was a nice addition and even catered for dietary requirements for a few treats when we arrived! I would recommend this to anyone who wants a nice private stay with the ability to bring their dog with them too 🐾

We had a fantastic stay at The Stocks Barn in Wellingore! The location is ideal — peaceful and picturesque, with lovely countryside walks right on the doorstep and easy access to nearby villages and amenities. The barn itself is absolutely stunning. It’s been beautifully renovated with a perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comfort. Everything was immaculately clean and thoughtfully put together, making it feel cosy, stylish, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. A big thank you to David, our host, who was incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsive. He made sure everything was just right and gave us a warm welcome, which really added to the experience. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Stocks Barn to anyone looking for a relaxing countryside escape.

Emma and Chris were really friendly and welcoming hosts and quick to respond to messages. The accommodation is quiet and a really good size with all you need, and as per the photos and description. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a lovely , relaxing stay, and we especially enjoyed watching the cows moving around the field! The cottage was both cosy and spacious, well-equipped and comfortable for our family of six. There is lots to do in the area, as well as accessible for days out further afield. Laura was very quick to respond to any queries we had. We would definitely recommend for a real getaway!

The Barn is fantastic! High end luxurious quality to everything along with very comfy beds! Everything you could want is supplied and more! Beautiful peaceful location with views to die for and so lovely to sit outside in the evenings chilling. Recommend visits to Lincolnshire Aviatiin Heritage Museum, Woodhall Spa, Gunby Hall and Skegness ( all no more than half an hour away) Good food at The Admiral Rodney Hotel , Horncastle, George & Dragon Hamworthingham and The Leagate Inn, Coningsby.

A lovely place to stay, really comfortable, friendly hosts and had everything we needed and more with lots of thoughtful touches like the homemade bread and sweets which were much appreciated. In a quiet village but close to amenities, with a bus into Lincoln if wanted and a nice walk to pub in nearby village, couldn't fault it.

We have stayed in many self catering properties and in our experience this is one of the best. The amenities were absolutely spot on. It was in a lovely country village of Hough on the Hill near Grantham. We couldn’t fault the cottage, the 3 en-suite bedrooms were large and very comfortable. A lovely well fitted out kitchen with a large country dining table to enjoy your meals. The lounge was well furnished with plenty of seating to relax. Patio doors opened up to a lovely private garden with ample furniture sets to enjoy a relaxing drink or a nice family BBQ. The whole cottage was spotless and we couldn’t find any issues throughout our stay. From our initial booking everyone was really friendly and helpful, and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. We also loved the nearby pub/restaurant The Brownlow Arms, it had a great atmosphere, The food was excellent with a really good choice on the menu. All in all, a perfect stay. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely be back!

This is a really beautiful place to stay, and Sherry and Irven looked after us extremely well. The area is not one I know well, but we loved it - if you want peaceful countryside, but lots that is really interesting to visit, then it's ideal. We will definitely be coming back! Thanks for the Woodall Spa recommendation, Irven - that's a little-known gem!

Had a lovely week at Skendleby, the accommodation was well kept. It was also away from any busy roads, so it was a very quiet and restful place to stay. Would highly recommend and would be happy to have a return trip sometime in the future.

Paul was an absolutely fantastic host, this place is perfect for family gatherings and weekends away from the city. Paul even was lovely enough to show us round his farm, the baby cows were a brilliant sight to see. Be sure to book through his website rather than AIR BNB for cheaper prices. Me and my group of friends had a fabulous weekend away, amazing escape from London. and there’s more rooms available than shown if you need more space for a larger gathering!
