Cottage holiday rentals in Wheeler Lake

I highly recommend staying at this lake house. If you are looking for a place to relax and have all the things you need to have a wonderful time then this is the place for you. Will’s hospitality and communication was the best I’ve ever experienced with an AIRBNB stay. The pictures of the home look amazing online but when you get to the lake house it is even more beautiful.

Great house, but a bit of a hike to the dock. The dock, kayaks, etc… are great.

Lovely stay at Leslie’s home. My wife and I enjoyed some much needed time away. We went to a local restaurant Fire by the lake. Then we can back to relax in the hot tub there are privacy shades to pull down because the house has several nearby neighbors but that was totally fine it was nice and quiet. One last thing the mattress topper on the front bedroom was like sleeping on a cloud so be sure to try it out if you get the choice of a bedroom ! Leslie was very responsive. Guntersville is a beautiful town.

Wow. Words don’t do this place justice! If you are looking for a peaceful getaway from the craziness of everyday life, book a stay immediately! You won’t regret it. I’m not too much of an outdoorsy girl, but I still felt completely in my element at this perfect blend of farm living and modern comforts. Gorgeous views, friendly and helpful hosts, charming farm and garden, romantic privacy - this place has it all. Bonus: The host left fresh eggs from the chickens for us in the kitchen, and we purchased some meat they had available as well - all delicious!

The best Airbnb we have ever had!! We stayed for our daughter’s wedding and stayed a few days after. Kari was very responsive and answered all our questions as soon as we messaged her. Bluebird was a little slice of heaven. The amazing screen porch was our favorite place. We loved relaxing, listening to the sounds of nature and looking at the lake. We slept like a baby on the comfortable beds. The shower was great too, never ran out of hot water and great water pressure. We will definitely be back to this little gem. Shellia was a great host!

This was our second stay at Driftwood and we absolutely love it! Such a beautiful home and location. Very peaceful and the perfect spot on the lake. We will plan to visit again. It is our happy place. The property hosts are always a pleasure to communicate with and very prompt in responding. Thanks for another wonderful time on the lake!!

Great place to stay!

The Clementine Cottage was perfect. It was cute, quaint, CLEAN, well outfitted with lots of nice extras. She had brochures on all the nearby activities. We fished, we kayaked, we sat around the fire pit, we enjoyed the screened porch. My only complaint would be that I mistakenly thought the cabin would be a little more secluded but even with that being said, it was quiet, it was serene, we enjoyed our long weekend very much and are talking about another trip there. And Gloria is a great hostess. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice everything was.

The Tisdale place was an amazing and very homey feeling space. With a lot of rich history behind the tisdale place and its surrounding areas , really made for an interesting stay. Therise was very friendly and welcoming and had lots of interesting facts about the property. She also provided us with cool places in the area to check out. All in all this was a fantastic stay and I would absolutely book again! Thank you Therise!

This was the best place to stay for my birthday! The lake was beautiful and very quiet. Everyone who stayed with us was obsessed with the house. It had everything we needed that we didn’t even need to leave! The host was very responsive and helpful. This has been one of my favorite stays and will definitely be back.

Wonderful stay with a sweet surprise! I had such a pleasant experience staying at Sweet Maria’s place in Harvest, Alabama. From the moment I arrived, Maria was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The biggest surprise? She gifted me fresh, home-grown chicken eggs — such a thoughtful and personal touch! The space was peaceful, clean, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. If you’re looking for a quiet spot with genuine Southern hospitality, I highly recommend booking with Maria!

This place was great, the host will answer anything you need answered, and the house is in a great location with lake access.

Bill was great at communicating about the place- everything was clear. The house was one of the cleanest we have ever stayed at. They thought of everything you might need for your stay. There weren’t too many “rules” , like at some other places with lists and lists of rules. Again, everything was clearly communicated. We would stay here again- we so enjoyed being on the water.

We enjoyed our stay at the charming cottage on Smith Lake. The location was off the beaten path, and we loved the area. It was very peaceful with beautiful plants and wildlife to see on our walks around the cottage. The cottage was very clean, organized, and well-thought out. The things I especially loved were the desk facing the window, the metal side tables with glass lamps, the roll-out shelves in the kitchen, the gas stove, all of the supplies in the kitchen, the drying rack in the laundry room, the big windows facing the lake, and the screened front porch. Kristina was very responsive and helpful at all times! She was always friendly and professional. I couldn't ask for more from a host! Thank you so much! This was definitely one of my favorite airbnbs, and we will definitely be back!

This home was perfect for our family trip. There was enough space for everyone to have time to themselves, but also allowed us space to spend time together. The bonus room was great for the teens. I'm always nervous about how clean things will be, but Angela's place was spotless; it easily passed the Clorox wipe test. Check in was very simple and there wasn't a long list of things to do for check out. While there, we had a few general questions and the host responded right away. It felt like a home away from home and we would definitely stay here again.
