Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Whitianga

Ryan’s house was exactly what we’d hoped for on our last 4 nights in NZ. The view looking out over the ocean absolutely made our stay! We had everything we needed to do as much as or as little as we liked. The location is very close to the shops by car and definitely walkable (though hilly). We walked to the Cathedral Cove track which we would highly recommend and were fortunate it had re-opened recently. Make sure you do the extra lookout viewpoint loop, the views are incredible. Ryan was responsive, friendly and helpful when communicating. We would recommend Ryan’s home and would definitely stay again if we came back!

Bob and Jess has a beautiful house with an amazing view that you can wake up too. House was so cozy and warm and then as hosts were so helpful whenever I needed to ask them something. The house was clean and had even extra things that we forgot to bring so that was super amazing. 10/10 recommend this place. Will definitely come back again

The panoramic views from Hahei Vista overlook what I think is the prettiest beach in New Zealand; they're stunning from sunrise to sunset. The house is older but clean, well-maintained and well-equipped, with plenty of outdoor furniture for sitting outside in the sun. Tina responded to queries promptly and professionally. The steep driveway can be a little challenging but the reward is the view - you can always collapse on the swing under the deck to catch your breath and enjoy the scenery. The woodfire was very welcome on those chilly winter nights. We've been to Hahei many times and never tire of its beauty and charm. Overall, this was a wonderful spot to celebrate a special occasion with friends.

One of the most relaxing weekends in a long time! Such a beautiful home, comfy bedding, amazing view and so peaceful. Highly recommend.

Julie was a great host! Her home is literally on the beachfront so great to place to go for a quick swim and picnic right outside from your stay. Child friendly as well - my toddler enjoyed all the toys available for the beach. Large bedrooma with two facing the beach front for amazing views and waking up to the sound of the waves. Large kitchen with all amenities found. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will hopefully be back sometime soon!

A beautiful, modern, lakefront home. We loved our stay and we must say the bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable!

Sharon was a friendly, informative host from the outset. The privacy of her place along with its amenities were perfect for our situation. We would not look to book elsewhere if in Whangamata again.

A uber beautiful and remote stay. We felt isolated in all the right ways. Gorgeous being in the midst of nature with some beautiful beaches for dipping/walking on nearby. Thanks Paul!

We had an amazing stay at David and Sue’s. Everything was as described. Such a spacious yet homely feel with absolutely everything we could want. David was very approachable and helpful. Highly recommend a stay here. Would love to return

The apartment is spacious and modern with stunning views over the marina. It is well equipped with everything you could need. We received clear instructions making it easy to find and access the property. We had a very enjoyable few days exploring the beautiful coastline around Whitianga.

Eileen’s house at Opito Bay is fabulous!! absolutely stunning location right on the beach at the south end. The house is very spacious, especially the kitchen lounge dining area which is all open plan. Great also to have the sleep out if you have a couple of extra people with its own toilet, and amazing outdoor shower amongst the trees, well you can take a shower and look at the view, idyllic ! Big covered out outdoor deck on the backside of the house which is gives options if the weather is not good. The house is very modern and immaculate. Will definitely be back!!

A perfect beach house to get away from the pace of city life. The house has everything you need to just chill- cd player, tv, games,books, a well equipped kitchen to cook whatever you wish but really it’s all about that beautiful view of the beach and bay. The view from the inside is wonderful but I especially loved the view from the bedroom. Waking up to the view was so special. I loved being able to walk down from the house and go for a stroll on the shell strewn beach. We had the beach to ourselves apart from the pied oyster catchers. And did I mention the quiet- just the lapping of the water to fall asleep to. I would love to visit again .
