Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Whitsand Bay

A lovely quiet place to stay with a fantastic outdoor space and hillview. It is a short walk down to the beach, pubs and shop. Thoughtfully furnished. The hallway space was a bonus for drying wet coats and boots after walks. I found the sofas very low and the dining table quite squashed in the corner. Downstairs bed was okay. Bottom sheet fabric was very shiny and not so nice to sleep on. Bathroom was spacious and the heated towel rail a bonus. No dedicated parking but space nearby found in the road. Wi-Fi was included but not high speed, which made working from there a bit of a challenge. A beautiful village to stay in, with great access to the sea and SW coastal path.

We had the best weekend staying in Amanada’s house celebrating a birthday it was beautiful. The house is even more beautiful than in the photos & my 2 year old loved looking out to sea every morning seeing the birds. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you so much ☺️ one bonus for families thinking of booking that I did not see prior to our stay is the stairgate at the top of the stairs to the kitchen it was perfect with 2 young children we could shut this off.

A delightful secluded residence facing out over farmland. Although there is a farm and there are homes in converted farm buildings close by, you would hardly know they were there; the property has a separate entrance to the main farm that it shares with one other dwelling, which again you would hardly know was there. The property is as described and well equipped. Although the garden is very small, this is not really a problem with so much open countryside on the doorstep. Rich George was very helpful, responding quickly to our queries before arrival and welcoming us warmly with helpful advice when we got there but otherwise leaving us to enjoy our holiday. The climbing roses surrounding the decked area were divine. We can recommend North Sands beach as a paradise for dogs if they like the water; our visit was in early June and, on all but one occasion, we managed to park in one of the four road side parking spaces at the top of the beach (free for 2 hours) rather than pay to use

Our first visit to Looe was made perfect by staying at Captain's Retreat. The apartment is beautifully presented and has the most spectacular views over the town and to the sea. We received a warm welcome from Martin and would not hesitate to recommend the property to anyone wanting a relaxing stay in Looe, especially with the off road parking directly in front of the entrance. Enjoyed eating at the Sardine Factory and also the traditional pasties from Sarah's Pasties in Buller St. Thanks to Jay and Martin for a great break.

We had an amazing 3 night stay in this fantastic house, it easily fitted 7 adults and two small dogs. The attention to detail in decor and amenities was impressive, there was literally nothing that we thought we needed as everything was thought of and provided and more. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and greatly appreciated. The four double bedrooms (1 was a king or 2 singles) were very comfortable and quality toiletries provided in the three bathrooms. The shared areas were spacious and comfortable with plentiful seating, and all ages catered for. The hot tub and fire pit on the decking was great, and the view from the front of the house is stunning! Denise was proactive from the start and ensured our stay was a perfect 10 out of 10! We wholeheartedly recommend this lovely home from home.

The Old Sunday School is incredible. Property: 5* in every way, super clean, lush decor, smells like a spa! parking is right outside. the patio and view are stunning. bathrooms, shower all amazing. comfy bed, lots of storage space. Hosts: Jay and Lisa are lovely, they are next door but not imposing at all. super helpful and knowledgeable, we enjoyed chatting to them. Leonard is obviously the most important one and he is adorable! Area: the field below the patio was superb for our 2 black labradors, just a short walk away is a woodland walk, just magical in the early morning sunshine. short drive are some lovely country parks and places to eat. the super generous welcome gifts were very much enjoyed. we can't wait to book a return visit.

Thanks for a wonderful stay in Cawsand. The house was perfect. The views outstanding plus a beautiful restaurant downstairs and 3 pubs across the villages to eat, drink and relax. Not to be outdone, the kitchen dining area was well-equipped for family meals, including the delicious local shellfish and fresh fish. Convenient to get to Plymouth - as the ferry stops just down the beach. In short, we loved it! The set up, the location and the relaxed and calm atmosphere of the village was exactly what we needed. Highly recommend - one of the very best properties we’ve ever stayed in. All the best Steve and family.

Such a great place to stay. It is spotless and Jaquine has thought of everything that you might need from a bottle of fizz to salt and pepper etc. Such a short walk to the beach and famous fish and chips. The scenery is stunning and the location is quiet and relaxing. Fantastic to visit many places of interest nearby.

We stayed for a couple of nights which were really comfortable. The Annex had absolutely everything we needed. There was plenty of kitchen equipment. We found the bed a bit cosy. It was in an ideal situation for you and we’d love to come back. Thank you, Rachael.

We had a great stay, Colin and Lisa were lovely and even went above and beyond to provide us with a little extra treat for my fiances birthday. The apartment was clean, comfortable with really special view. Also, the local restaurants and bars are way closer than Google would have you believe, we particularly want give an extra special thanks for the ferry recommendation. We had a fantastic time and plan to return in the future. :)

Perfect 2 day stay for a wedding in the area. Kairen was super quick to respond to any questions and offered early check in if needed. Lovely place with every amenity we could have needed including a magical milk frother and some very thoughtful welcome snacks which were much appreciated after a long drive! Kairen was incredibly friendly and a delight to chat to, the majestic Percy the cat was also a particular highlight. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area, thank you again!

Honestly the photos do not do this place justice its incredible what a view and the host could not have been better extremely helpful, always there at request, respectful, polite all round wonderful person even made us scones to bake and the the towels shaped in to love hearts was a really nice touch they made us feel welcome and right at home would recommend to anyone thank you sheila for a great experience will be visiting again

Rockpool is a wonderful place to stay! Kay is a friendly, helpful and generous host. We appreciated the lovely treats left in the fridge for us. The location is peaceful and quiet and the accommodation is comfortable, very clean and well equipped.

We had a lovely time staying at the Sail Loft. It was beautiful and tidy, it felt very homey. Jen’s instructions on how to arrive were very helpful and check in was easy :) From the accommodation you can see a beautiful lake, located just across the road. In the sail loft there was everything you could need to cook, clean and relax! Thanks for having us Jen :)

We had a fantastic stay at Russels apartment. The location is amazing, right on the beach, so we woke to the sounds of the sea every morning. The apartment is big and spacious, bigger than it looks in the photos and the large parking space was a great bonus. The beach is shingle and the sea calm, ideal for novice paddle boarders like me. The staff at the Bay restaurant next door are really friendly and the food was lovely. We visited many of Russels recommended places for food and all were good. There are a few shops very near by and the coastal path makes a great morning walk or run. We will be back x

The flat was beautiful and very comfortable. It is in a built up area but didn’t have trouble finding a parking space. There were lots of lovely touches around the flat that really made it feel like a home from home. Will definitely book it for our next visit to Plymouth.

Had a great short break in Polperro, the apartment was exactly as described and Chris’s communication, instructions and recommendations were exemplary. Our fitness levels have certainly improved after walking backwards and forwards from the car park. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back again someday.

Sarah was incredibly communicative and greeted us at the door with a warm welcome. She kindly took the time to show us around ensuring we had evening we needed. The accommodation was remarkably spotless and clean. The bed was super comfy. Option to have 2 single sofa beds or one which was perfect. The neighbours were friendly and kind. Decor was gorgeous. I absolutely loved it here, loads of space and everything you could ever need, really comfortable and a short walk to the local shops, cafes and takeaways - I'd definitely recommend staying here, the photos don't do justice to the amount of space, so a couple or family would definitely be happy to stay here too.

I booked this accommodation on behalf of colleagues working in the area, and it turned out to be a great fit. The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Communication with the host was smooth and responsive throughout the booking and stay. Had an amazing stay. The apartment was in a beautiful historical building. The apartment itself was beautiful. The kitchen was very well appointed. Everything so clean. We were visiting family and they came over to the apartment one of the days and we had a lovely afternoon walk around Wise Park and Scott Memorial. Great location, 10 minute drive to Royal William Yard and 15 minutes to West Hoe. We will be back again.

Great location, property and host. Becki was so friendly and the apartment was lovely and clean and felt secure. We parked the car on site, organised easily with Becki, and walked and travelled by ferry everywhere. We had a brilliant relaxing stay and we would highly recommend. Royal William Yard is a truly unique and a wonderful place to stay and the apartment was perfect for the two of us.
