Absolutely fabulous stay, such stunning surroundings, Judith and family were accommodating, helpful, non intrusive. Would definitely stay again if I need to stay in the same area. Accomodation was clean, clutter free, warm, quiet and when I mentioned I was vegan Judith put oat milk in the fridge. Thoughtfulness like this goes a long way. Thanks so much, made my weekend. A lovely apartment, very clean and tidy. it is easily walkable into the town, yet very quiet and secluded. Communication was great and access into the property was simple.

David and Leslie are the kindest and most welcoming of hosts. They made me feel at home immediately, and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were very willing to accommodate my requests, and it was lovely to enjoy their hospitality in the garden. Their generosity was evident in the LWH - ensuring there were things for breakfast and a drink (even ice cold water in the fridge) to lovely cosmetics in the bathroom. And the LWH was spotless, beautifully kitted out and the bed was very, very comfortable. I had everything I needed for my short stay, and if I had needed something, I was reassured that all I should do was to ask. The LWH is a great place to stay to explore this part of Essex and is highly recommended. Thank you David and Leslie for all that you did to make my stay a memorable one.

My daughter and I had the best experience staying at Henry’s cottage! We loved the house! It’s very nicely decorated, very clean and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Loved the town of Saffron Walden and its closeness to Audley End station where it was easy to move by train to other places. Have to say that what made our stay feel so special was Henry our host! He is such a nice person! So attentive and welcoming. We got to meet Joanna too, super nice with us! They are both lovely people! Thank you Henry for your kindness and for letting us enjoy your home!
