De Oude Smederij

Enjoy and relax in the Frisian countryside? This is possible with us in De Oude Smederij, which was formerly a forge but has been completely renovated into a comfortable vacation home. The Oude Smederij is located in an agricultural area on the outskirts of the village of Arum (on the Elfsteden route) and is centrally located between Harlingen (on the Wadden Sea with ferry services to Vlieland and Terschelling), Franeker (Planetarium and Frisian Museum), Bolsward (Broerekerk) and Makkum, located on the IJsselmeer with boulevard and beach.

Deze ruime, vrijstaande bovenwoning heeft een beschut dakterras en een woonkamer met veel ramen welke uitzicht bieden op de beroemde Oldehove en de groene, waterrijke Prinsentuin. De ruime leefkeuken beschikt over alle faciliteiten om een heerlijke maaltijd te bereiden. De woning heeft 3 slaapkamers, een kinderbedje en kinderstoel, 3 toiletten, 2 badkamers. Heb je behoefte aan privacy, rust, ruimte, off grid, natuur in alle comfort, dan is onze Float exact wat je nodig hebt. Je hebt het eiland voor jezelf. Midden in de natuur. Je kunt vissen, zwemmen, suppen, zeilen, of gewoon even helemaal niks. Wakker worden in ons, duurzaam gebouwd varend tiny huis is voor iedereen een weldaad, waarna je de hectiek van alle dag weer aan kunt.

For those who enjoy being surrounded by nature, this peaceful chalet is the ideal place to relax. The chalet is very private and set in an orchard of just over a third of a hectare. (A pûnsmiet is an old Friesian word for a third of a hectare). It is a perfect place for those who want to indulge their creativity in writing or drawing. The beautiful views towards the dyke and into the orchard are unique in this Friesian landscape, where the sunsets are spectacular and ever changing.

Tussen de groene vlaktes van het Friesche Menaldum vindt u de uniek gebouwde Tiny Farm House met veranda inclusief hot tub. Deze grenst aan een traditionele kop hals romp boerderij uit 1880. Sinds 1980 runt boer Folkert de melkveehouderij waar 110 koeien gemelkt worden. Kom tot rust in de hot tub of neem een duik in de zwemvijver nabij. Ga met de veerboot een dag naar Terschelling of Vlieland. Breng een bezoek aan de hoofdstad Leeuwarden of stap op de fiets en verken de omgeving.

Sustainable, cozy, private guesthouse in Berlikum

Guest accommodation on the first floor of our sustainable home (1880). Private entrance, kitchen, shower and toilet. Located on the continuous waterway. We live in the house (Jasper, Marleen, Thijmen, 12, Rense, 9, and Feline, 7). We renovated the house ourselves. Recently, the entire guest house has been renovated. The guest house has a kitchenette with all the necessary amenities (fridge-freezer, coffee maker, kettle, microwave, stove, etc.)
