Bungalow holiday rentals in Windward Islands

The bungalow was near perfect for us. This was a surf trip for my husband and his best friend. I booked for them and joined a few days later and cooked/tended to reef wounds. Although we don’t normally travel with a 3rd person, the bungalow offered enough privacy due to the loft with twin bed, darkness from the blackout curtains and the bathroom down a few stairs, situated below the sleeping area. Although we could have used a baking dish or sheet and some better utensils for cooking, we made due. Be sure to bring adapters for US electric items and don’t count on the WiFi unless the host makes an improvement. Despite these minor issues, I would highly recommend this place for surfing Teahupo’o and to disconnect for a bit. The people in the surrounding community are all very sweet and accommodating. Celine supplied much needed antiseptic and antibiotic cream. She brought us fruit some mornings and was a great host.

We feel so lucky to have found this little bit of paradise on our travels! A stunning property right on the lagoon where you can snorkel and where you can watch amazing sunrises! We stayed in the beautiful big bungalow at The Blue Pineapple. Along with the beauty of the design, it was well stocked with all you may need for an extended stay! However, what really made this an exceptional experience, was the hospitality and good care given us by our host, Virginia! We can’t thank her enough for all she did to make this an amazing stay.! Mauruuru, Virginia! You should count yourself lucky to— lucky indeed— if you have a chance to stay here… We are already planning our return.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour, Tuomo est très sympathique, la maison louée est tout près de la plage, facile d'accès, Mahina est un endroit magnifique , à découvrir absolument., surtout la pointe Vénus, les tahitiens sont des gens généreux, souriants. Nous reviendrons certainement.

I needed a remote place to just relax and enjoy my time. The bungalow is right at the ocean, very private yard. I was there alone and felt really safe. Beautiful, peaceful… although at nights the ocean is loud - I needed to use my earplugs 😀

This place is like an oasis in an oasis. It is serene welcoming and private. We had a lovely time alone and also meeting Nicolai and Maire which was the absolute bonus part. I feel so lucky to have chosen their place. You will need a car but there is an incredible grocery steps away from their place. I loved it when the concrete gate started opening up and all of a sudden you see this most beautiful garden on the water w an area to launch a kayak to go swimming and snorkeling in the ocean. Loved loved loved it!!!

C'est un bon rapport qualité prix, le site est agréable. La baignade est sympathique avec de nombreuses patates de coraille pour admirer les raies et une multitude de petit poissons. Le site est fait pour ceux qui aiment mettre la tête sous l'eau et se promener en kayak sur le lagon. La seule chose dérangeante c'est la caméra du jardin qui beep lorsque l'on passe à proximité. Je pense y revenir à l'occasion.

We arrived after 10pm and Tituaua was there with a warm greeting and tour of the space and amenities. She had a cold bottle of water and some snacks waiting for us, and got us hooked up to the wifi. The space is exactly like the photos. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. There is occasional street noise, but it's very quiet at night. The shower was really nice and had good water flow for washing thick hair. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking if you want to. Titaua is a lovely host, we had a few lovely mornings sharing coffee and conversation. Also, her dog, Luna, is an absolute love who joined us whenever we were outside, including swimming all over the lagoon with us. We drove all over the island and snorkeled at all the public beaches on Tahiti & Moorea, but by far the best reefs and fish and clearest waters were right off our beach. The only challenge is that the shore is all rocks and you have to walk out a bit to get deep enough water. I really hope to return!

🌺 Un séjour inoubliable à Tahiti ! Nous avons passé 5 jours merveilleux dans ce logement idéalement situé sur l’île de Tahiti. Il est parfaitement placé pour explorer toute la côte Ouest, sans doute la plus belle partie de l’île, avec ses plages paradisiaques et l’accès rapide à Teahupo’o, incontournable pour les amoureux de nature et de surf. Nous sommes arrivés tôt, avec un vol à 5h30 du matin, et Clarisse nous a accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse, un délicieux petit-déjeuner, et a eu la générosité de nous laisser accéder au logement bien plus tôt que l’heure prévue. Clarisse est une hôte exceptionnelle, toujours disponible, avec de très bonnes recommandations pour découvrir Tahiti comme un local. 💯 Un excellent rapport qualité-prix, et une adresse que je recommande vivement pour tous ceux qui veulent découvrir Tahiti dans les meilleures conditions.

We had the best stay, it was so relaxing and peaceful. Dolly was very accommodating and gave us plenty of recommendations which were golden finds on the island. The bungerlow was everything you needed just after a long flight to Tahiti. It was so relaxing and we wished that we could have stayed longer! We couldn't have wished for a nicer stay at such a beautiful bungalow we will be coming back for sure!

My husband, daughter and I stayed in this lovely bungalow for four days and it was absolutely perfect! It is central and easy to find, and it had everything we could want. We have already talked about how soon we can return! We loved it and highly recommend it!

Un logement atypique avec une expérience de vie en milieu ouvert, c'était très sympa à vivre. La vue était vraiment super belle, sur le lagon, magnifique. Plein de belles choses en bois, table, lustre, fait main. Une très jolie décoration. Une belle découverte.

Le bungalow correspondait à la description, situé dans un lotissement calme avec une vue magnifique sur Moorea. Laurent et Hélène étaient toujours disponibles, nous avons même pu faire le check-in plus tôt que prévu. En résumé: bungalow propre et bien situé, communication top. À conseiller!!

Aurélie and her family were great. They helped us a lot during our stay but also kept a level of privacy for us. We loved their dog Jiggy who always comes around for some scritches. The place is quiet but close to the beach and right in the middle between Papeete and the southern part of the island.

We absolutely loved our stay! Calm and beautiful surroundings. Location is a minute from Taharuu beach. We really enjoyed the use of the snorkels, surfboards and bikes! Host was very responsive and kind. Will definitely return.
