Cabin holiday rentals in Wisconsin River

The cabin is on a peaceful part of a small lake. While there are neighbors on either side, we did not see anyone during our stay making it feel secluded. It was easy to find, easy to get in and an overall nice stay. The cabin is a 30 minute drive north of the Dells and a little longer to Devil's Lake and Mirror Lake State Parks. It's not a hard drive but we did find ourselves spending a lot of time in the car to do the things we wanted to do in the area.

What a beautiful cabin in a private, peaceful, and scenic setting. My husband and I had a wonderful time having coffee on the deck overlooking the forest. We also relaxed on the sofas and watched TV. We cooked two breakfasts and a dinner, and the kitchen had everything we needed. It’s apparent the hosts love and care for this special place, and it really shows. We did a couple great bike rides nearby and enjoyed seeing wildlife: deer, a painted turtle, and a porcupine! If we’re ever in the area again, we’d love another stay at this lovely cabin.

Beautiful, secluded cabin, clean, cozy, with everything you need for your stay

Our family of three plus two dogs had a great stay at Rebel's place! We loved that the cabin was set far back from the road, so our pups could safely explore the property. The setting is very serene and the only noises we heard were from the birds and frogs at the pond. The cabin itself was well stocked with everything we could need and the town of Hillsboro was just a short drive away. We would definitely return!

The cabin was absolutely perfect for us as a couple. It was clean and cozy. We loved the egg shaped chairs and having a private firepit. We also had a lake view when sitting at the firepit. Matt provided so many things that we didn’t need much. This place is quiet for being within walking distance of downtown. We really hope to come back!

We planned a last minute getaway to Linda & Robert’s place and it was wonderful. My husband and I were looking for a simple, secluded place with space to explore and be immersed in nature with our dog. This “rustic retreat” was just what we had hoped for and more. It is exactly how it is described, no surprises. Before booking, we read the listing description that was provided, viewed all of the photos and loved reading all of the glowing reviews. We were sold! We loved the long drive into the property and the wildlife seen along the way. The trails on the property are such a treat and so much fun to explore. The windows in the cabin were just as described….AWESOME!Puzzles and campfires were our source of relaxation, after dark. Linda and Robert are great hosts and communication was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at the rustic retreat and would highly recommend it to others. :)

We had the pleasure of meeting Evan at the property. This was the third time we stayed at the Bishop Creek Cabin. The area is beautiful and the cabin is perfect for a couple and 2 dogs. It was spotless and comfy. The cabin stays cool and we didn’t need to use the air conditioning. The trout fishing in the area streams was phenomenal. The nearby town of Viroqua has cute shops, art and eateries. We had some excellent pizza at the Liberty bar just down the road. No doubt we will return again and again! Peaceful and well kept cabin, the family and I loved the prairie trails on the property. Also so close to multiple state parks and the dells. Looking forward to coming back!

Kimberly was easy to work with and quickly responded. She was flexible when I needed to change my dates. The place was amazing. Such a great spot. One of the best parts was the bird feeder in the front window. Would definitely stay here again.

10/10 stay! The house was an architectural marvel, well-appointed, and the property was buzzing with flora and fauna. Our hosts were organized, communicative, and curated the perfect Northwoods experience. We enjoyed the sauna, canoeing on the lake, hiking at Bond Falls, butterfly and bird watching, and so much more. Do not hesitate to book Wanderloft!

My two best friends and I stayed at the fabulous Refugio Graziella for a relaxing girls’ weekend and it. was. perfect. Most of the weekend was spent lounging and chatting in all the many wonderful spaces the home offers: sipping coffee on the peaceful screened-in porch, relaxing in the hot tub, roasting marshmallows at the serene fire pit under the string lights with ample firewood and supplies, doing crafts and playing games at the inviting dining room table, cooking meals in the fully equipped kitchen, and listening to music in the cozy living room. We did not end up using the sauna (just didn’t have time), but are already planning a winter getaway to RG. We absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend it if you are looking for a quiet getaway, surrounded by nature but still a short drive away from anything you need or want. Clearly, so much thought was put into anticipating the needs of their guests, and that makes Refugio Graziella a place you immediately feel comfortable. 🥰

This cabin in the forest charmed us with its peaceful atmosphere. We listened to the rustling of trees and the singing of birds while sitting by the fire. The craftsmanship of the cabin is absolutely breathtaking! And inside there is everything you need for a perfect weekend. Clean, newly updated, everything we needed available, easy to find, great communication and quick response from owner, everything worked perfectly, peaceful private location , and well priced, what more can you asked for. I’m already planning my next fishing trip and plan on staying here again.

The Fox and Badger is absolutely magical! The cabin and the property make you feel like you’re in a fairy tale! We spent several hours just enjoying the porch and listening to the birds! I would recommend this place to anyone, and be sure to book longer than you think you’ll want to stay! Can’t wait for our next stay!

The stay was amazing, I ended up checking in late, so it was dark. But waking up in the morning it was mind blowing scenery. The pictures don’t do justice on how pretty the cabin and view from the porch are. Very nice and clean. 10/10 would recommend.
