Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Yarmouth County

Lorette’s place is a tiny slice of heaven. I highly recommend staying here. The house is older but that’s what makes it so wonderful and have such great charm. The house was on a dead end which made it incredibly private and quiet. We were lucky enough to see a beautiful, bright rainbow and we’re treated to our very first time seeing the northern lights!! Rachel, Lorette’s sister was extremely friendly and helpful and they are both there for you if you need anything very responsive. I have to say it again I highly highly recommend staying here and I will definitely be back. If you have children she had such a wonderful stocked location of toys, coloring books sidewalk chalk and for adults plenty of movies and games and crossword puzzles . The backyard was my favorite with the huge deck and the view of the field and path to the water with the beautiful pine trees at the end. I enjoyed every morning with my tea and the birds thank you so much, Lorette!!

We had a wonderful stay at Plover Cottage and truly enjoyed the incredible views of Taunton Bay from the windows as well as the sitting areas on the property. Bar Harbor and ANP are about a 40 minute drive but a very nice one at that. Schoodic Peninsula is a closer ride and well worth the visit! The kitchen is well stocked and filled with other essentials that make for a wonderful stay to explore the beautiful coastal towns in the area. Thank you Jonathan for being a responsive host and offering us a wonderful place to experience Acadia National Park!

We really enjoyed our stay at Day Lily. The location is just far enough from downtown to avoid the crowds, but close enough for easy access to anything you need. An entrance to Acadia Park is just a few minutes away, and the lobster pound just down the road is worth visiting more than once for takeout. Lisa was very responsive to questions and made sure we were well taken care of. We spent the majority of the time we weren't out hiking just sitting on the porch and reading. Our timing was perfect, in that we visited after Memorial Day, but prior to the end of the school year. The house is set back a bit from the roadway, with lots of trees, giving you a feeling of being in the woods. There is a little road noise, but it didn't bother us at all. Lisa advised us to bring a mosquito coil, but we really didn't need it that much. There were a few mosquitos, but nothing more than we would have on our own patio at home. We did, however, need bug spray while hiking in the park.

As soon as we pulled up to the house, we could immediately see why Sue’s place is so well-reviewed. The surroundings are both peaceful and stunning - we saw a deer in the back yard when we arrived, saw an otter playing in the water on our last night, and spotted many other birds out the back in between! I have never stayed at a more well-stocked Airbnb. We love to cook when we travel, and every time I looked for a gadget or kitchen item, I easily found it. Any time I couldn’t find something, I knew that it had to be there and that I was just looking in the wrong spot, and that was always the case. Although it is a bit of a haul from some of the popular spots on Mt. Desert Island, the setting and privacy was well worth the drive. There is also plenty to do nearby, including Tidal Falls Preserve just down the road! We were so sad to leave at the end of our stay and hope we have the chance to stay here again in the future.

What a beautiful stay. It was my first time in the area and at Acadia NP and I’m so happy I chose Jackie’s place in Winter Harbor rather than the busy Bar Harbor side. It was so peaceful and quiet in the evenings. There were also walking distance hikes in Acadia NP. There is a ferry on the Winter Harbor side to take into Bar Harbor which was a lovely scenic trip and incredibly convenient. There is a delicious seafood restaurant right down the street that was walking distance from the house as well. Jackie was so responsive and a great host. I would 10/10 book again.

Our family of six adults really enjoyed this beautiful, well-appointed house — particularly the location. This new home has incredible views and we spent considerable time enjoying the wildlife that came into the cove. The hot tub, sauna, croquet set, and kayaks were really special added bonuses of which we took advantage. The house had everything we needed in regard to linens, kitchen items, and entertainment. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. The location was very private and peaceful — we didn’t see another person save some friendly waves from passing boats. We drove about 25 minutes for a dinner in Shelburne and visited Digby (2 hours away) and Mahone Bay (~1.5 hours away) while we were there, but also — because of the beautiful setting — ended up spending more time at the house than originally intended. Highly recommend!

Ryan was fantastic! He was clear about everything that we needed to know up front, was super helpful when I had questions (even when I realized after the fact he had already given me the information I was looking for lol), and the property was absolutely stunning and so much fun for everyone! We went as a group of 3 moms and 6 kids five and under. We will be back! Nothing was missed in this place, everything you could think you would need was there! Fantastic!

Kevin and Donna’s place was very clean and comfortable. It is just a short drive from downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia national park. Watching the geese and ducks in the beautiful backyard each morning was a bonus. Kevin and Donna are responsive and friendly.

The experience left nothing to be desired as we were looking for a remote spot and a place comfortable and spacious enough to stay inside during bad weather and Jeff’s place checked the boxes. We were the only ones in the 2 unit home. The view is very pretty and the wildlife is plentiful. The access to the water is down a dirt embankment which leads to mud flats at low tide. Beware of the tides if you can get the kayaks down there.

My family and I had a fantastic stay! It was exactly as described and the waterfront was so nice to wake up to. Having two bathrooms was great and all of the decor was fun to explore.

This is our second time staying, and it is a perfect place to enjoy the ocean view - right across the street, visit friends and family, and chill. And eat lobster and scallops☺️. Thank you, Marie - Laure

Fantastic and spacious spot right downtown Digby. Quick and easy walk to lots of shops and restaurants, and beautifully situated right on the waterfront. Beautiful and comfortable!

This place was absolutely amazing. It was cozy and felt just like home. The hosts accomadeted us and provided us everything we needed for our stay on Grand Manan. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Great local recommendations from Nancy! Many welcoming amenities and the house is very cozy. Extremely well located; many sights, shops, and restaurants within easy walking distance. If you’re planning on doing your own cooking, the kitchen is very well equipped. A great stay.

John & Marlene are wonderful hosts - available for questions & last minute problem solving, very friendly & welcoming. A few notes about the units: 1. They're on Rte 1, so you see & hear all the cars zooming by all day & night. This kept some of our party awake at night, but our unit also had white noise machines in each bedroom. 2. The bathrooms do not have bath tubs, just shower stalls. 3. Laundry detergent is provided.
