Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Zaanstad

Great spot to stay in for what we needed! Staying for a couple of nights before heading off fishing about 90 mins away. Easy to access Amsterdam, 3 stops on the train and 5 min walk to station. Chi’s place was great. Boss games room and loads of space to chill and relax. Will definitely be back 👍🏻

My friend and I choose to stay here, since it was close to Zaanse-Schaans and Amsterdam Noord. And I must say: It’s the nicest Airbnb I’ve ever been to so far. I’d definitely recommend it to others, who’d like to wind out and relax after a very long day in the city and just wanna feel like home: this is the place. Marjolein has put so much love and detail to make this place super cozy. I really loved it. And the neighborhood feels super safe and there are some cafes close by with a nice view of the harbor. Definitely a must stay place, if you’re looking for a relaxing place. Thanks a lot Marjolein for letting us stay here.

Beautiful family home and welcoming hosts-highly recommend for families! Hosts were so helpful in recommending nearby restaurants, offering tips for the transit system etc. I wish we had spent more time enjoying their home during this trip to visit Amsterdam as the home is a gem-the outdoor spaces are lovely. The movie projector screen and large collection of movies was so fun to use. The home is in an ideal location to use as a home base to access nearby Amsterdam or the even closer and very charming town of Zaanse Schans.

We had a wonderful stay at Thi’s charming, old Dutch-style house. She was very kind and helpful throughout our visit, making sure everything went smoothly for us. The house is even better in person than in the photos, and there was plenty of space for everyone. Communication was easy, and Zaandam is a great alternative to staying right in the center of Amsterdam—away from the crowds and hustle, but still just a short train ride to Amsterdam Central. There are also supermarkets, bars, and restaurants nearby. Highly recommended, and we hope to return the next time we visit Amsterdam!

Logement assez petit. 14 voyageurs sont possibles mais c'est vraiment aller chercher jusqu'à la dernière place disponible. Serviette assez vieille ainsi papier toilettes en très petite quantité. Dommage de n'avoir qu'une seule double pour 14 personnes. Il faudrait l'indiquer dans l'annonce et réduire le nombre de personne possibles dans le logement. 2 places dans un abri de jardin qui n'était pas indiqué

Ana Mer's home was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean, cozy, and well-maintained the house was. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour chez Ingrid. La maison est ravissante, confortable et très bien équipée. Après les journées intenses en ville, c’était un vrai plaisir de rentrer nous y reposer. Les paysages environnants et l’atmosphère sereine nous ont véritablement charmés. Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit à tous les voyageurs en quête de tranquillité 😌

Already the second time I come to this beautiful Airbnb. With nature all around , very quiet place 20min from the centrum with car. Astrid is very friendly people . I recommand. And I will come back See you next years 🙂

I had a wonderful stay! Elton was very friendly and welcoming, making the experience smooth from start to finish. The place itself was lovely—clean, cozy, and well-kept. Nous avons passé un superbe séjour pour un evjf. Le logement était top, très propre et facile d’accès. Faites attention place de parking payante sinon la contravention coût très cher (480€ ). Quartier super beau et pleins de magasins au alentours. Debbie a été très réactive et très accueillante.

Doris's place is very sweet and beautiful! it's a cozy apartment with a water view. We had a wonderful holiday there. A short commute to Amsterdam and a great bakery around the corner.

Margor and Steven are nice and attentive, they give us a lot of helpful information about the area. The location is near the Zaandam train station and convenient when travelling to Amsterdam city centre. A very nice and cosy place to stay in NL.

This apartment was amazing for our quick trip to Amsterdam. The location is perfect—right on one of the main canals and walkable to everything. Helena was such a gracious host and gave us some great recs for vintage shopping, drinks, and eats. The space was well appointed and she was so flexible with our arrival and departure times. I would 100% recommend this place and would stay here again on a future visit.

Das Haus liegt in einer wunderschönen und ruhigen Umgebung. Es ist für Naturliebhaber leicht zu erreichen und dennoch nur 25 Minuten vom Stadtzentrum Amsterdams entfernt. Wir vermissten lediglich eine größere Spüle zum Abwaschen des Frühstücksgeschirrs. Insgesamt war es aber eine sehr sympathische Erfahrung.

We had a great stay! Hugo was easy to contact, gave us many local recommendations, and easy to follow directions. The place was clean, had a great view, and is on a quiet street. Location was great, very walkable to all of the main tourist attractions. We were worried about not having a tv but didn’t miss it. Just a heads up to people in the U.S.-bring wash cloths to Europe. All 3 of the Airbnb’s that we stayed at did not provide them. I read that they consider it a personal item, like a toothbrush, and expect you to bring your own. Thank you Hugo!

We had a great time in this sweet apartment. We loved sitting in the living room overlooking the canal and appreciated the great shower and overall layout of the apartment. The location is fantastic. Very residential and more peaceful than other parts of the city we have been to. We highly recommend it!

This place was wonderful! It was just as described. We enjoyed listening to the birds (wild parakeets and others) as we sat on the balcony in the mornings. The stairs are steep and narrow but that is just part of being in Amsterdam. One thing to note, there are 2 showers, 2 sinks, but only 1 toilet. It didn’t cause any problem for me, but those staying in the first floor bedroom will have to climb up stairs in the middle of the night. Overall, I highly recommend!

Tess’s place is one of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed in. Tess met us for check in to show us the beautiful accommodations. She provided local recommendations. What I appreciated the most was the extra touches she put into making the place feel special. There were live flowers in vases, a bottle of wine, waffles, and coffee ready for us. I found everything to be just perfect.
