We absolutely loved our stay. Lovely comfy beds and a really homely feel about the cottage. We seen a red squirrel in the garden and lots of stags just outside crossing the river. We had dinner at the Fife Arms just along thr road and had a lovely walk too. Lovely friendly host too. Thanks Team Barbarella Beets

Lovely find. The Smoke House is like stepping into a warm hug. We all loved the quirkiness of it. The fabulous social spaces. Really enjoyed our stay. So generously stocked with essentials.

Unsere beste Ferienunterkunft aller Zeiten. Makellos sauber, perfekt ausgestattet, alles wie beschrieben. Seeblick aus jedem Zimmer? Absolut! Näher kann man am Meer nicht dran sein, dazu mit der tollen Terrasse ebenfalls direkt am Meer – perfekte Lage. Das Fischerhäuschen ist schön, locker groß genug für vier, mit Kaminöfen und Elektroheizung gut zu heizen und urgemütlich und voll ausgestattet. Zum ersten Mal haben wir alles mögliche umsonst mitgenommen, weil es schon da und sauber war! Wir müssen wiederkommen! Our best holiday accommodation ever. Spotlessly clean, perfectly equipped, everything as described. Sea view from every room? Absolutely! You couldn't be closer to the sea, and with the fantastic terrace also right by the sea - perfect location. The fisherman's cottage is beautiful, easily big enough for four, easy to heat with wood-burning stoves and electric heating and very cosy and fully equipped. We have to come back!

Das Haus war wunderschön, schönes Ambiente, sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und man merkte das viel Liebe im Detail steckt. Kate hat auf Fragen sofort geantwortet und war sehr nett. Die Lage war auch sehr gut, in der Nähe ein kleiner Supermarkt, Cafés und Geschäfte ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und alles in allem war es bezaubernd!!! Wir können diese Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen!!

Abbiamo trascorso 3 giorni stupendi nell'alloggio di Chiara. Eravamo già passati da Pennan in estate e volevamo provare l'esperienza di essere come Local per qualche giorno in inverno. Così è stato, il cottage é molto accogliente, dentro un antica casa di pescatori nel porticciolo di Pennan, una posizione unica da cui godere della baia e del cielo stellato. Assolutamente un esperienza bellissima.

Almost everything exceeded expectations, lovely clean cottage, ideal for our 4 day stay. Comfortable bed, chairs , really good kitchen. Street parking was tight, but we had had that explained before arrival. Only down feature, was the shower, which was too small for us to comfortably access and use.

We loved our stay! Beautiful caravan with stunning views! The caravan was like new so clean! The host has been fantastic with communication & was very kind & helpful letting us know if we could get in any earlier too. We would love to come back it was a lovely treat!

I really love this cosy, private and beautiful cottage. I have stayed here a few times now for work and pleasure and it’s an ideal spot for both. I get such good nights’ sleep and the bird song is delightful. Everywhere is so green! The cottage itself has everything you need in it and it’s warm and cosy too. It’s a unique setting with a very special extra, where you can swim in their private pool if you wish. Thank you again for being really friendly and accommodating hosts. I’ll be back ! Or rather we will be- Matilda and Brown dog 😊🐾

What a magical cottage in such an extraordinarily special place! My son loved the rock pools and finding "treasures" on the shore, and I loved seeing and hearing the sea at all times, both inside and outside the really comfortable cottage. Thank you Elaine for a beautiful stay!

The most charming stay of our trip! We absolutely adored our time at this Archiestown cottage—truly our favorite place we’ve stayed. Every detail was so thoughtfully considered, and as someone who works in interior design, I found myself inspired by the cozy, well-curated decor. The cottage had more than we needed, and everything felt both functional and beautiful. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we genuinely wished we were staying longer. The only hiccup was figuring out how to get hot water in the shower—but I’m quite certain that was user error. We’d return in a heartbeat!

We stayed at James and Jessica’s bothy for 4 nights. Wished we could have booked a (much) longer stay. Everything so perfect, beautiful and thoughtful decorated and also the attentive small gifts upon arrival. Drinks, cookies, sweeties (all local/Scottish). Not to forget the stunning surroundings/nature and the friendly owners of this little gem. 6 stars!

Jill bietet eine bezaubernde Unterkunft, in herrlicher Lage. Recht abgeschieden und sehr ruhig, abgesehen vom Meeresrauschen, eine sehr entspannende Umgebung. Die Einrichtung ist sehr liebevoll gestaltet mit unglaublich vielen, entzückenden Details, unentwegt entdeckt man neue schöne Kleinigkeiten. Ich habe mich hier sehr wohl gefühlt und auch ein kurzer Plausch mit der sehr freundlichen Jill war sehr angenehm! Meine besten Empfehlungen!

Huset er fint med alt hvad du behøver. Det er hurtigt at varme op, hvis det er en kold periode. Det ligger i en lille hyggelig fiskerlandsby. Gåafstand til en landsby af samme størrelse sydpå og til en lille by nordpå. Mange muligheder for køreture i området og længere væk.

The Bothy is a great place from which to explore the local area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would recommend.

Fantastisch accommodatie aan de jachthaven met een zithoek aan het raam waardoor je instant tot rust komt met een prachtig zicht op de jachthaven en de zee. Heel netjes allemaal en mooi opgemaakte bedden, alles wat nodig was was ruim aanwezig (handdoeken, zeep, keukenhanddoeken, vaatdoeken etc.), Heel zorgzame Host met een heel snelle respons bij vragen. We hebben heel hard genoten zowel van de accomodatie alsook van de buitenactiviteiten. Nogmaals van harte bedankt Catherine

Lovely accommodation in a great location near the heart of the village. Everything was superb, can’t fault the apartment or the hosts!
