I am so glad that we decided to stay in Vico Equense and that we chose to stay at Maria's airbnb. Vico Equense is the perfect spot for a relaxing holiday with plenty to do close by and a very short amount of travelling required by car or train to access the larger tourist destinations. The airbnb itself is really impressive - the castle is stunning and the apartment itself has everything you need. The shared communal spaces outside couldn't really be better, we visited in May so didn't have access to the beach (but there are plenty of options nearby) but the pool was great and not too cold to swim in, and the terraces were great for relaxing and sun lounging. Honestly it is hard to find a fault with the airbnb or Vico Equense itself, it was a great holiday destination and we will definitely come back.

Gessica and her husband were wonderful hosts! They really deserve more than 5/5! From the first contact for booking, Gessica wanted to see how she could best accommodate us. She had gluten free snacks for my daughters and I and made us a delicious breakfast that included gluten free pancakes! She recommended a lovely restaurant in town that’s had delicious antipasti and pasta. She also helped set up guided horseback riding and we got to see the beautiful countryside. It was amazing to stay in a castle! The accommodations were like the photos and the location is just beautiful. Gessica and her husband really went above and beyond to host us. If we ever make it back to Italy again, we would love to come back to stay here again! Thank you both so much for such a lovely time in San Marco dei Cavoti!

We had a really good week in the chapel of the masseria. Really unique place! Cozy furnishings too. Very quiet and yet close to a shopping center. Private terrace on the east side (morning sun) and we could also sit in the shade in the communal garden. By the way, we had that to ourselves during the day. There was a cat and there were four super sweet kittens, turtles, dogs, chickens and roosters (and almost every morning fresh eggs!). We visited many places in the Salento. Everything is very easy to reach. Matilde was always ready for us if we had any questions. We enjoyed very much! Arriverdeci, ciao!

I can’t say enough about this special place. If you have a chance to stay here - Do it! You won’t regret it. We arrived to Chiusi by train and rented a car. This is an easy 40 ish minute drive from the train station. We were greeted upon arrival and were shown the way to the villa. The property and grounds are breathtaking. The villa is spacious, well appointed, spotless, and comfortable. The five of us had plenty of space to relax. I love to cook and felt at home in the kitchen. It had what we needed to prepare food. The pool was a refreshing break from the very hot afternoons. Kaci and Antonio (and Marta) are wonderful hosts. They are responsive and eagerly helped us with plans and dinner reservations to include maps! From the Castel it is an easy drive to: Pienza (our favorite), Montepulciano, and Cortona. We even enjoyed some live outdoor music one evening. I could go on… Grazie mille, Antonio & Kaci.

One of the most amazing places to stay ever! The last stop of a 9 month trip, Castello del Duca was the best way to cap off our journey. The grounds are wonderful to stroll around, the Barone room was beautiful and had everything you need, and the service from the staff was top notch. Super easy to get into Rome via public transportation. 10/10 would recommend.

Our stay at this medieval castle was truly unforgettable. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and went above and beyond to help us when our car had mechanical issues. The back terrace offered breathtaking views, and the serenity of the location made it the perfect retreat, far from any hustle and bustle. The beds were super comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. Living in a medieval castle was an incomparable experience, and we loved the friendly visits from Pepita, the dog. The only minor inconvenience was the limited hot water supply for six people, but it didn't overshadow our wonderful stay. Highly recommended!

Amazing host and home. We had a great time at the place. Ensure you coordinate check in times. In the US you get a code and can check in immediately but in Italy you need to meet the host at a specific time. Nothing wrong with it just good to know in advance for US travelers. Overall highly recommend this place

Clean and spacious rooms with air condition. I can recommend the accomodation! The kids very much enjoyed the pool.

Karin was the best host! Not only took she care of the arrival of friends of mine who came in the middle of the night on a sunday but she also helped us to organize a vet when my dog got sick. She always reacted immediately when I texted her, gave us good recommendations about restaurants (in the area as well as in Perugia) and organized an amazing cooking class for us. We really felt like we were at home and the athmosphere at the house, the beautiful park and pool area was so relaxing. As soon as one enters this house it feels like you are in another world and you can just forget your everyday life. Thank you so much for everything Karin, we will be back!!

I highly recommend! This castle was amazing. The location is beautiful. The castle had modern amenities with the charm of its original build and decor. I felt like I was in a movie staying in the rooms there. It is also an open museum so people will be touring it during the day time and I thought that was fun to take the historical tour as well. It was a great experience. The host was so friendly and helpful when we needed ideas on places to go.

Rikke and Lorenzo are really friendly and hospitable. So we got a free tour through the castle and wine cellar with tasting. beautiful to receive the passion and the family history. The surroundings, the beautiful stay with beautiful swimming pool are etched in our memory. Highly recommended for those who love peace and want to explore Umbria!

Spacious and clean new apartment. Excellent location for both the location and as a property. Also beautiful is the pool surrounded by a beautiful garden with lemon plants to master it. Super recommended for those who want a relaxing vacation outside of the chaos of the city.

Francis and Angela were gracious hosts and the location was convenient to a major bus line with frequent stops to visit other destinations. We were able to get to Venice in 30-40 minutes.

You can see that hosts put their heart into what they're doing, both in maintaining the space and their relationships with guests. very, very good hospitality...very smiling and accommodating. nte...the building is superb and the accommodation in good general condition with a huge terrace with sea view is very nice ...an area for the barbecue is provided. Our host was very kind to us...the accommodation is very clean ...small downside the access not very convenient very good stay thank you to our hostess 😄

Well worth the side trip out to the countryside. Truly a memorable place with lots to explore. Highly, highly recommend! Can not wait to go back.

A peaceful little paradise away from the city. I felt like a princess at the very top of the castle’s tower. The apartment is newly remodeled and very spacious. It was beautifully designed with attention to detail. The host Martina was extremely thoughtful in providing amenities and always available to answer any questions. There is a nice restaurant downstairs and the town of aranova is 20 minutes away walking with lots of restaurants and grocery stores. I loved walking around this area because of all the nature. Just be prepared to climb the stairs to get to the apartment.
