My family and I visited Switzerland and stayed in Zurich, Bern, Lucerne and the Interlaken area. For our last destination we chose Johanna's property. We keep reminiscing about our stay in Johanna's place because her home was such a highlight of our trip - the area is so magical. The views from the apartment on the upper floor were amazing. The bus stop is practically across the street from the apartment. There is a wonderful lake in front of the property. The neighborhood is soooo beautiful. The house is fully equipped. I have stayed in many airbnbs and this has got to be the most homely property we have stayed at. Honestly, I felt right at home. Everything is so generously provided. Everything was clean and the apartment is soo much bigger than the pictures depict. I want to go back already. Please book this place, it is the best. We even walked to Aldi from her home several times and walked to the train station as well to get our steps in. Only took the bus when we had our luggage.

It's about a 5-10 minute walk from Interlaken West Station, so the location is really great. The accommodation itself is so beautiful, and the river flows next to it, so the view from the terrace is really beautiful. The luggage storage service is a separate warehouse next to the accommodation, and there is no separate lock in the warehouse itself, so if you are anxious, we recommend bringing a lock or lock separately. We just left it there, but there was no problem. The interior of the accommodation was also neat and nice overall. However, we stayed for 3 nights, and I only gave one bath towel per person, one medium-sized towel, and one hand towel, so I asked if I could get more, but the courtyard was fluffy, and it was very fluffy.. haha (I gave plenty of towels for just two nights elsewhere) In the end, I received extra towels, but when I gave them towels, I suddenly just opened the door without a knock and came in. If you want to stay here for more than 2 nights, please bring plenty of towels ~! ~! ~! Other than that, I'm satisfied with everything else.

Our stay at Maria’s place was heavenly! So beautiful and inviting. The apartment was decorated beautifully and it was very comfortable. The views of the mountains were spectacular and the sound of the river was very enjoyable! Maria was so kind and attentive. I couldn’t think of a more perfect place to spend my 60th birthday! The walk to the train station was a beautiful walk. Such a charming town. We would love to return one day! Thank you Maria for everything!

Nice apartment, spacious living area, comfortable bed,nice balcony, kitchen quite small but fully equipped. Very peaceful area but only a few minutes walk to local supermarket, train station and the village pub! Thun is a short drive away or a couple of hours walk on the riverside path. The pub served typical pub meals, they were large and cheap. Annemarie and her daughter were both very friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay.

Sarah's place was very cute and cosy. Spotlessly clean, with everything you could need. Also very close to the station if coming by train and only a short 5-7 min walk to the village for shops & restaurants.

We had an excellent stay at Werner's place. The house was so neat and clean and the kitchen had the essential utensils and the host was very responsive

The five of us felt very comfortable in this house. Each room has its own bathroom. The house is open and spacious. Advantageous when the weather is not so good. So everyone can find a private spot. And the kitchen invites you to cook. The view of the lake and the "Niesen" is fantastic. We spent a relaxing and great week at Lake Thun. Many thanks to the hosts G.H.

Loved our stay, truly beautiful home and perfect for our family (2 adult couples couples and a family of 3 with 6 year old). Child friendly with safe bedding and available books and toys to play with. Great location 5 minutes from train station and 2 blocks walk from COOP grocery store. A few things to get used to as being from USA appliances are slightly different, but we knew that ahead of time. Also thankful for the previous review that mentioned needing to buy additional toilet paper if staying more than a few days, it was easy to pick up with our groceries. Hosts were very responsive and kind with the questions we had. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will remember our trip fondly and our stay here.

Well-maintained family home in a prime location by the lake, close to the train station and shopping facilities. There is so much to do - sports, hiking, cycling, lake, museums. Very nice landlords who always have time for you.

We came here for our honeymoon and I will never forget how magical this place was! The views were absolutely stunning — waking up to the turquoise lake and surrounding mountains was unforgettable. The space was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully prepared with everything we needed. The location was peaceful yet close enough to explore nearby towns and hikes. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing escape in nature yet close enough to exciting experiences! 10/10!!

Christa’s place is absolutely beautiful – clean, spacious, and set in a peaceful, picturesque village with views of snowcapped Alps on clear days. We woke up to the sound of Alpine streams and cows grazing outside our windows – truly magical! The fully stocked kitchen made it easy to cook meals with local groceries, and we quickly felt right at home. The nearest station, Steffisburg, is about a 10–15 minute walk (1 km). It’s a pleasant stroll for most, but if you have luggage or elderly travelers, a cab from Thun station is a better option – Christa can help arrange one. We actually began to love the daily walk through the charming village. Christa and Peter were the kindest hosts – warm, helpful, and welcoming. Our only regret was not staying longer. My 80+ year-old dad is already dreaming of going back. Thank you, Christa and Peter, for four unforgettable days. We’ll cherish the memories forever.

We had a wonderful stay with Isabelle and Heinz in their beautiful house in the Emmental. We enjoyed the tranquility and the view. Bern (!) and Burgdorf (Franz-Gertsch-Museum) were very worthwhile. Climbing the Napf is also recommended. Thank you Isabelle and Heinz for your hospitality and the good care! We hope to return soon.

Beautiful view of the lake and the opposite shore towards Blumenberg. Not only the large garden and the diverse offer for outdoors (boats, SUPs, etc.) are ideal, but also the well-equipped kitchen. Excellent cleanliness throughout the house. The nearby highway was a small downside. Thanks to the top hosts Chantal and family for a pleasant stay in the lake villa.

This lakeside house is a gem! The house is tastefully & practically furnished, the garden is large and wonderful for playing! There are 2 SUPs as well as a pedal boat, ping-pong table with rackets, a gas grill... simply awesome! But the wonderful terrace directly above the lake is also unique. In the morning, have breakfast there and enjoy the lake, with duck families swimming by...a dream. We are always drawn there. Thank you!

We had a lovely stay! The apartment was clean and tidy upon arrival, which we really appreciated. Upon check-in, we received clear instructions on how to enter, which made everything easy. The apartment is exactly as described. The location is easy to find and there’s a shopping center within walking distance, which was super convenient. We felt comfortable right away and were able to fully relax. We’d be happy to come back again! 😄

Very understanding and helpful host. We caused some concern on our end with who was staying where and when and we were able to work it all out I believe. It is a wonderful home and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay near interlaken snd all there is to do around the Swiss alps. Loved our stay!

Such an amazing stay!! We were here for a week and it was idyllic and peaceful. Emmetten is a friendly town in a beautiful setting. The apartment was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Maya was an excellent host. She is very responsive and even brought us some eggs from her hens. The Volg grocery store is about a 4 minute walk, but there is also Ruadis Marcht which is even closer. We loved this little store. If you are into buying local, stop by. They bake different types of sourdough bread daily and you can get fresh eggs, pastas, dairy and meats from local producers. There were excellent hiking trails all around. We had an amazing stay and would recommend Maya’s place to anyone.

The place itself was comfortable and had everything I needed for a short stay. The space was clean, and it had a welcoming feel overall. It suited our needs and offered good value for the area. Communication with the host was smooth and helpful, and check-in was simple and hassle-free. What a view! The location of Raffael's place was perfect. It's right in the centre of town and there are great views in all directions. The apartment was well equipped with high-end kitchen appliances. It had plenty of space with comfortable furniture. We would highly recommend this place! We wish we could have stayed here longer.

Nicolás and Kristy’s place is in such a beautiful spot, we ran into some trouble with renovations going on in the area and they were very helpful with our concerns. It was out of their hands and they still helped us out! Recommend a trip down to the little restaurant down by the river as well!! A great stay
