Holiday rentals with a kayak in Africa

The villa is in a great location close to Turtle Bay and Konnos Beach. It is well equipped for families and my grandchildren loved the pool and the play area. Lambros, the owner was always available and keen to make our stay enjoyable.

Such wonderful, generous hosts! I booked last minute and they were so communicative and even stocked the fridge full of treats which were all delicious. Thank you for the warmth and kindness!

What a gem of a place! Waking up to that stunning view and being just a stone’s throw from the lagoon was such a treat. It’s the perfect spot for families with young kids. The house was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped—with a cozy fireplace that made chilly nights extra special. The swimming pool and bikes were a great bonus. Tori was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We’d come back in a heartbeat.

We had a great week at Carlos’ and Cynthia’s home. The flat is very well equipped and we had everything we needed. When we arrived Cynthia brought us some eggs and we were allowed to pick herbs from the garden. The view from the terrace is incredible.

We cannot fault anything! Honestly our very best stay - Adet was incredibly accommodating as we had a child from the UK with us travelling at a different time, we had small children with us- she just helped us all the time. Definitely our best air bnb

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We were a bit surprised by the 10km stretch of public dirt road leading to the farm — we had expected only a few kilometers of gravel once on the property — but it was still perfectly manageable with a sedan. The thoughtful touches on arrival really made us feel welcome: a chilled G&T, the hot tub already heated, and a freshly baked loaf of bread waiting for us. The game drive the next day was a highlight. Uncle Steve shared many fascinating, history-rich spots with us, making the experience both educational and memorable. Next time (when not pregnant!), we’ll definitely take advantage of the kayaking — the lakes are absolutely beautiful — and we’d love to stay longer, as the game drive takes up most of the day. Highly recommended!

The host went above and beyond to ensure our stay was smooth and enjoyable, offering warm hospitality and helpful communication throughout. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the view. Surrounded by nature and serene landscapes, the setting offered a perfect backdrop for a relaxing and peaceful getaway. We genuinely loved everything about our stay. It exceeded our expectations and provided the perfect escape from the noise of everyday life. I would highly recommend this Airbnb to couples seeking a quiet, rejuvenating retreat in a beautiful, well-kept environment. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

The Cottage at Wetlands exceeded my expectations. Everything was so perfect and was great attention to detail. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and would definitely recommend staying there. I know I will be staying there again.

​We had a 5-day stay at this rustic cottage in nature. If you're looking for a retreat surrounded by birdsong and greenery, this is the perfect spot. It truly feels like an escape into nature. That said, a car is needed, as the nearest town is a drive away and the last approx. 2 km of road is not smooth. The access to the cottage from the road might not be suitable for everyone—there are steep, winding stairs & uneven surfaces, so it’s something to consider for guests with limited mobility. Jens & Sarah were ​very good hosts—responsive, thoughtful, and helpful throughout our stay. The Wi-Fi was excellent, making it a great option for remote workers, though the lighting indoors is ​ somewhat dim, so plan accordingly if you need a well-lit space to work. Being immersed in nature also means you may encounter insects or mosquitoes, so come prepared—but that’s part of the experience in such a beautifully natural setting. All in all, a peaceful and authentic getaway in nature.

This place is simply a piece of paradise. You will know what I mean when you go through the gate. It’s even more beautiful than I expected. The nature, sweet sounds of the birds, swimming in the river… Thank you Akosua for creating such a magical place and open it for visitors.

This surpassed our expectations. It's a very tranquil and beautiful spot; the river by the collage is stunning, and the host was extremely helpful when we got trapped in the mud. Whatever you do, stay a day longer. You will regret not staying longer.

Firstly, thank you Esbie for your warm hospitality and welcoming our furry kids to your free-roaming Billiard Room facilities. Secondly, Die Boothuis was an exceptional experience - we loved the days spent. Our furry kids loved the environment, as we appreciated the tranquility. We'll be back in summer to explore the "cave". This is really a GEM to visit, relax and enjoy!!! Till next time.

Lovely and serene compound touching the Nile, beautiful cottage.

Location 10/10. Felt like I was inside the Calm App - beautiful views and birds singing were so peaceful and relaxing. The patio was incredible to soak up the sun and bird watch during the day. Inside we found everything we needed in the full kitchen as well as an extensive spice rack. Bed was big and comfortable. Lighting was very cozy but could use an upgrade to brighten up the space a bit more at night. Michelle was helpful and responsive with great info and recommendations. Would stay again

We had a wonderful week where the whole family spent time together on the house's lovely patio and on the beach. Fantastic that it was so close! Loved being able to walk in swimwear from the house to the sea and back to the house's outdoor shower, and then relax in the beautiful sun loungers and hammocks in the shade. The small kitchen was equipped with what was needed to cook at home, but many evenings we ate at the tavern, which is five minutes away. Good classic Greek dishes, and although the restaurant does not get the highest rating, it was still very cozy.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Charl, Carla & Christa's place! From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and at home. Christa & Carla were incredibly responsive and helpful, always going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The cabin was so charming and well-maintained, and we particularly loved the tennis court, kitchen(my friend is a Chef ), the garden, the views. We can't thank Charl, Carla & Christa] enough for creating such a memorable experience. I had an awesome birthday. We would definitely recommend their place to anyone and hope to stay again soon

If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this would be a good option. Slightly outside Hermanus, near the lagoon. Large living room windows look out to the water, where you can watch birds and just make out the ocean waves in the distance. Kitchen was stocked so you can do some light cooking. One room had an extra sink, which is nice. We could only get youtube to work on the TV, but who needs TV on vacation? Pack a book instead. Weather was not ideal during our visit to use the kayak, but this could have been fun. Water looked shallow enough in parts to walk in.
