Our farm is located at 1175 m above sea level, 15 minutes' walk above the South Tyrolean sunny village of Lajen. Meadows and forest surround our house. You can consciously experience the nature again, listen to the bird voices, and breathe in the clean air. The species-appropriate cattle husbandry characterizes our organic farm. Summer - Exercise in nature • Relax in the countryside around the house • Hike in the adjacent forest and the bird voices listen • Hike on the cozy dirt road to the Antony Cross, breathe in fresh air and enjoy the panoramic view of the Eisacktal (5 min.) • Hike on the historic Poststeig from Klausen to Grödental and the colorful Experience autumn coloring • Hike to Lajener Hausberg Raschötz (2100 m) and the beauty of the Dolomites marvel at (3 hours) • In just 20 minutes by car, reach the cable car to the unique Seiseralm Winter - Magic of Nature • Experience the forest near fresh snow • Marvel at the snowy landscape • Observe deer and track farewells • Sledding & Ice Skating • Only 15 minutes by car, the well-known Dolomiti supermarket area in Grödnertal reach (Sella Ronda, Saslong exit track). In the sun-drenched village of Lajen, the cradle of the Minnesanger Walther von der Vogelweide and only 500 m from our yard, you will find 2Kirchen 3Gasthöfe Pizzeria 2Mixed goods stores 1Bäcker 1Betzger 1Bank Sportplatz and Mehrzweckfeld. Public transport (bus) is also 500m away from our farm. Furthermore, 2 taxi companies are also active in the village. The form of management and the rural ambience makes our property unique. Combining tradition and technology is a big challenge. We strive to sustainably manage the farm, which is only bio-logical. We have our own water source with a very good analysis, which is additionally rounded off with Grander water experience. We generate the entire electricity through a photovoltaic system and achieve a CO2 saving of approx. 13,000 kg annually.

Lajen-Ried is a scattered settlement surrounded by fields, meadows and forests. The immediate surroundings are a dream setting for hikers and cyclists. Haus Sonnegg is a great place! Nicely designed and makes you feel right at home. Amazing view and a great location - quiet but in a short diving distance from the cities (Klausen, Brixen, Bozen) and other smaller places, supermakets, restaurants etc. There are planty of hikes in the area. The hosting family was very friendly and helped us with anything we needed. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it twice!

Excellent accommodation and location. The town of Gudon is beautiful and it is worth staying here to enjoy its tranquility and beautiful surroundings. Daniel is an excellent host, as he is friendly and very attentive to what you may need. The apartment is very spacious and very well furnished and decorated. Super comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. We hope to be able to return soon!

This is simply one of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed in, in the many years we’ve been using Airbnb. Daniel and his team were extremely proactive in their communication and messaged us a couple days ahead of time with some information and again on the day of check in. It just happened to be Daniel was walking to the apartments when we arrived, so he walked us in. He was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is on the very top floor which wasn’t a problem and Daniel does mention it, so if you have mobility issues you’ll want to keep this in mind. The flat itself was beautiful. Super charming, free of clutter, and the views were simply outstanding! The shower and tub were huge and everything felt new and in pristine condition. There was a great pizzeria just across the street and parking was assigned according to your flat number. The flat is located in Gudon, and is an excellent base to get to all the hikes and spots to take in the Dolomite sights. We can’t wait to come back soon!
