Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Allegan County

A wonderful place to stay for a 2-day getaway! Walking distance to the beautiful downtown of Saugatuck with cute shops and plenty of restaurants! So quiet and relaxing.

As many other reviewers pointed out, this was the most well-equipped Air we've rented! Laura has thought of everything and provided it. She even has firewood available for the outdoor fire pit. Unfortunately, it was too windy to enjoy but sitting on the back deck was just as nice, including visits from some wild turkeys. The house was very comfortable, clean and perfectly located for spending time in Saugatuck as well as Holland. Also worth noting that the mattresses were so comfortable! Communication was fantastic to the point we were told when the cleaning crew was wrapped up from the previous renter and we were able to get in a few hours early. We'll definitely look to rent here again if we're in the area and would recommend it to anyone!

The home was so cozy, clean and just felt like home. The beds were so comfy and the linens were crispy clean. The 2 and a half bathrooms were a bonus for our group and were squeaky clean. Kitchen had all that we needed for our stay. The area was private and so quiet. This is just a great home for a vacation to Fennville, Michigan. Certainly recommend. Brian was a perfect host.

This place is even more magical in person and perfectly accommodated our group of 10! We loved it so much that we looked to book again this summer, but it was all full. Hopefully will return next year—everything was perfect! The house is clean, has so much space, all of the amenities you could need, and the view/ beach was so beautiful. Highly recommend staying here—we can’t say enough good things!

Christine's place was absolutely lovely. The photographs didn't fully express the expansiveness of the space-- the towering ceiling was stunning. There are multiple separate spaces, including a peaceful front porch and screened in area, which allow for some time spent alone to reflect or read, while still feeling a part of the group. We cooked one night and the kitchen was fantastic, we gazed out the massive windows at a group of deer each morning as we drank our coffee. No children with us, but the bunkbeds were adorable and two adults slept comfortably in them. We are already plotting a return and certainly will stay at Christine's place again, if it's available that is!

Brandon was a very responsive host. The home was clean and comfortable—perfect for our family gathering. The hot tub and pool provided hours of entertainment. If we return to the area, we would definitely see if this place was available. **When we inquired about kitchen towels because we couldn’t find any at check-in, he had new ones door dashed to us the same day—certainly above and beyond our expectations.

We visited Michigan to hopefully see South Haven and Saugatuck, but we had the most fun in Allegan where this house is located. It was lovely, cozy, and felt like home during our stay. We walked everywhere downtown right from the house and had a wonderful time.

Alex’s home was perfect for our family getaway!! The spacious common area, 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths accommodated our family of 6 adults and 2 toddlers. The high chair and pack n play were a huge help! The screened in porch and backyard were great for gathering. We loved being able to walk into town and down by the water! I would highly recommend staying at this house when visiting Saugatuck!!

James and Christine were amazing hosts. The place was amazing, I felt right away at home, it is so cozy, great location, very quiet and walkable. The communication with James and Christine was perfect, they even shared some activities to do, restaurants to go, and where to catch the best sunset. Our staying at James and Christine ‘s place was more than perfect.

I can’t say enough great things about our stay. The place is beautiful, and the location is unrivaled—really, there’s no way to be closer to the action of Saugatuck but also stepped away, removed and afforded quiet and peace. Did I mention how lovely this house is? Honestly, you can’t do better. Five stars really aren’t enough.

Great little place. We had issues with the ac unit the first day (probably the first time the air has been on for the season since it was unusually warm outside) but host was responsive and resolved the issue to the best of their ability. Beds are super comfortable and my daughter loved the bunk bed. Right in the center of town and unbeatable views.

The apartment was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the surrounding was so quiet and peaceful. Gary was an outstanding host, always quick to respond and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We had a great time staying there and would definitely come back again!

What a great visit we had at Amanda’s place!! She was so helpful with communication before and during our visit! She gave us great recommendations on things to do and see. Her place was perfect for our family and the yard was beautiful! Everything was kept tidy and neat and we had what we needed at her place! Anytime we are in the area we will stay with her and we will definitely recommend her place to our friends and family!

The mother in law suite was perfect for my husband and I during our mini get away. The location was perfectly in the middle where we were able to visit both Holland and Saugatuk. It is smaller than expected but doesn’t feel crowded, it’s the right size for 2 people. The location is very quiet and private, and parking is right by the door. I believe it is a shared space to the house next door, but that was no biggie. As far as the highway noise, didn’t bother us at all. Being from the city, we are used to it but they did have a white noise machine which we tried out and worked well. Quiet, private & clean. 10/10.

Quiet and quaint space. It was spacious and clean and a perfect place to getaway. The space is a short drive to South Haven and Saugatuck. Amy and Derek were responsive and helpful before and during the stay!

This was a great location. very close to downtown. You could walk downtown rather than trying to find a parking space. The view was great. we didn't have a problem with noise, but we stayed in February so there weren't neighbors. The shops and restaurants were still vibrant and had a good amount of people. The place was very clean and comfortable. had some trouble finding the place. There is a different address on the front of tow building. the correct address was on the door. The hosts were repaonsive and helpful. We had a great stay.

Northern Lights condo is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. You will not find a cleaner rental! There are many thoughtful touches such as bath supplies and local attraction maps. We spent the weekend attending a wedding at the Felt Estate, just 10 minutes away. The condo is in a quiet location and close to all local attractions.

Nice condo in heart of Douglas. Would be great place during the "on season". I was there due to a power failure and its the off season so there's not many people around. Very clean place, newer appliances and great internet. Would rent again.

Felt very peaceful & private, but still just steps away from town. We decided to stay in town very last-minute & extend our trip — Debbie & Jeff were so responsive, flexible, & helpful! Super great spot with tons of room & great hosting space, if that’s what you’re looking for!

This was the perfect place for us! It was only a few minutes drive from downtown. Could walk to the beach if you wanted. Kitchen had all the amenities. We didn't get to use the outdoor areas due to the time of year but would be so nice in another season. Owners were very helpful and responsive. Beaches are clean and sunsets are beautiful. It's only about a 30 minute or less drive to St. Josephs, Benton Harbor, Saugatuck, Holland. We did them all! Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful little water side apartment that is super walkable to all that Saugatuk offers!

Brendan was very responsive, helpful and super nice. The place was perfect, the beds were comfortable and the condo was in a great location!!! A short walk to everything. I would definitely stay here again.

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our short 2 night midweek stay here. Excellent location that is close to the beach and downtown Saugatuck. The heated pool and gas fire pits were really nice after we got back from a day of exploring the area. Isabel’s was just a short walk across the parking lot - great bakery, coffee shop, and market with unique foodie options. We would love to come back here.
