Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Allegany County

We were three couples and a six year old. The arrangement of the accommodation was just what we needed. Because we had travelled for a wedding we were out for most of the day and unfortunately bad weather meant we couldn’t make use of the outdoor facilities but we have already recommended the property to a friend and would like to return for a future family occasion.

Denise our host was absolutely warm and accommodating.. she went out of her way to drop off an extra heater when the place got colder (upstate NY in Oct). I’d happily recommend this to everyone! The kitchen was well stocked and we didn’t have to go anywhere to find Cuttery and dishes

We were looking for a break from city life, and Sheila’s place was exactly what we needed. Her home is beautiful—thoughtfully equipped, spotless, and filled with light. The spacious deck offers a stunning view, and we loved starting our mornings there watching the sunrise. Strolling the property was peaceful and grounding, and the chickens added a delightful charm—the rooster was my personal favorite. If you're seeking a calm, bucolic retreat with privacy and a kind, responsive host, this is the place. Highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful and spacious! Loved that there were two separate upstairs, so it was perfect for my son and grandkids to have their space and then we could have our own space too but still get together during the day and have tons of family time! Tons of space for the kids to play and the animals were a great bonus for the evenings to unwind! Super close to Niagara Falls which was another highlight of the trip! Super host and awesome place to stay can’t wait to come back!!!

The large home was perfect for our extended family to getaway. Comfortable beds that provided enough room for everyone and a very large table provided the perfect space for our extended family to gather to eat and play games together! The location was very quiet and private yet within a 25 minute drive to Alfred State! The host even made sure there was an extra gas bottle there for the gas grill when i said we were going to do a picnic supper while there.

The place was pristine clean and very peaceful & Quiet. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

I got there later than I wanted too but it was still easy to find in the dark. The parking area is tight for a big truck like mine but the place is beyond cool. It felt like a movie scene. All the furniture was extremely cozy and clean. I cant say enough about this place other than its worth your money. Had I known it was gna be so cool and unique I would have stayed longer, Even on a 90 degree evening the house was naturally cool with no fan or AC. My Dog was even Amazed. id definitely stay again. The provided Maxwell coffee was definitely a plus.

This was our second time renting this home. We love the outdoor area, and the pizza oven. I also use the sauna. It’s close to Alfred NY, where we celebrated a reunion. It is very spacious with separate bathrooms. We are looking forward to next year already.

Steven was a very nice guy. His taste was impeccable. When I entered his place my son looked at me, knowing my taste and said, "what do you think?" My answer "Oh my goodness." The place looked as if I had decorated it myself. I absolutely loved everything about it--the decor, the antiques, the wallpaper, the ambiance, the music he had was awesome. I danced around the room. The gorgeous quilts on the beds, the comfy bed and pillows, the French doors to the wonderful front porch overlooking the adorable quaint village of Angelica with it's wonderful antique stores and friendly folks that live there. I wanted to stay there forever. I couldn't have been happier staying at Steven's place and would love to stay there again. Thank you so very much Steven Timothy, this is one of my favorite places I have ever stayed. I would recommend you to everyone.

Such a great spot in town. My family and I got stuck in the area due to a snowstorm and we needed a place to stay last minute. Holly's place was perfect for our snowy night in.

A great place to spend some time with family and friends and also for the couples for a romantic getaway. Loved staying at their place, and one of the most beautiful and coziest airbnb we encountered so far. The house surrounded by nature is a dream for a city people like us! We had a great time. Thank you, Kevin. The host really active in solving out our queries. We are planning to visit again during falls. ❤️

The pics are spot on. Nicely decorated. Right on Main Street. Walk to restaurants supermarket very close. Beds were comfortable as was seating area. Loved the window shades. Even though it is listed as 1c there are about 5 steps down to the apt.

This stay simply felt like we were home. Teri is a SUPER host !!!

My family and I greatly enjoyed our stay at The Place! Swain was a very quiet and peaceful area (though I'm sure it gets busier during ski season), and we felt safe and enjoyed the privacy. While we did have to drive a bit for restaurants and activities, the condo was stocked with plenty of kitchen equipment that allowed us to cook meals during our stay, and also had a variety of board games for entertainment. The wifi was very spotty, but that was not a huge concern for our stay. One other thing I want to note was that there were some clothes left in closets and used toiletry items in the bathroom cabinets; I was not bothered by it since everything was very clean, but just a heads up if anyone is not comfortable with that. The beds were very comfortable, there were plenty of blankets and towels, and the wood fireplace was nice for chillier nights. Overall, I have to say that the condo was beautiful and exceeded my expectations - the pictures really do not do it justice!

We needed a place to stay from a long road trip and location was perfect for what we needed. Very peaceful and roomy and would recommend.

5 star place to stay if you're looking to get out in nature with a bit of night life too! Close to area trails and attractions. Bed was comfy, the home is clean with ask the amenities. Looking forward to returning!
