Holiday rentals with breakfast in Allerdale District

Lovely place just outside Dumfires. It is located on a quite street, but easily accessible. The place is nice and spacious - better than how it looks in the photos. Ann is super friendly and responsive and has stocked the place with all essentials including basic groceries (butter, milk, break, juice).

We had a fantastic stay at Karen's cottage. Lovely garden, very peaceful if you like the farm life atmosphere. Karen provided a variety of breakfast cereals which were very much appreciated. Highly recommend staying at the cottage in Holywood 🙂

A lovely, cosy cottage that had everything we needed and made us feel right at home. We really appreciated the helpful welcome pack and extra touches. Jontti was great communication-wise. We loved our stay and were sorry to say goodbye to the Gamekeeper's Cottage. Hopefully we'll get a chance to re-visit again.

A beautiful retreat in a beautiful part of the world. A great place for a meeting amongst friends. Plenty of space, extra blankets for cold nights and a fire to keep warm. An amazing authentic experiences which was loved by all of us. This was a place to remember. Thanks.

Brenda is very friendly and hospitable. Staying at hers is almost like visiting a friend, possibly the true essence of Airbnb and old school B&Bs when people opened the doors to their home to strangers and made them feel welcome. Brenda gave me clear instructions to reach the property, and she was there to welcome me when I arrived. She attentively prepared me a tasty and filling breakfast every morning of my stay. Brenda also helped me with precious tips for local walks and exploration. The property has the charm and warmth of a old family home, it’s not pristine or spotless but very functional, comfortable and cosy. Thank you for having me! Giovanni

What a memorable stay in the Lake District, in an absolute beautiful and remote place that has so much history! Kate was a fantastic host, we loved our conversations together and hanging out by the fire in the evening. The cats and the hens brought us so much joy! Kate went above and beyond to set up breakfast with many choices - even accommodating for gluten and dairy free. The road to get there is an adventure in itself, luckily there's not much traffic and it went really well for us. We would highly recommend staying there! Note that the ground in front of the house is uneven and there are a few steps to get into the house, which can be challenging for people who have difficulties going up stairs. You might be as lucky as us and have a cat waiting for you at the top though!

A wonderful home away from home. True to and more than what exactly mentioned in the booking page. Five star hotel like hospitality service provided. Tess was really helpful, kind, and informative. A must try staying option minutes away from famous destinations in the Lake District. Will definitely book again in our next visit. Overall rating 10/10.

Exceptional! The accommodation was spacious, quirky in a good way, surprisingly well equipped, and no expense spared. Our host Ivan was extremely helpful and a pleasure to talk to. We plan to return!

we know the area fairly well, and our usual place wasn't available on the dates we needed. this was perfect for our stay. The fluffy towels and great shower were lovely. basic supplies provided, and a chocolate cake :-) Bed is very comfortable too, we slept extremely well The local pub was recommended, The Stag Inn, Dufton and we had already booked ahead, for our first meal. (sirloin steak and corned beef and onion pie) We had a roast in The Mason's Arms in Long Marton on Sunday evening with our friends and it was delicious. 2 years since our last meal in there and it lived up to our expectations. we would stay here again.

Beautiful cottage in great location in the centre of town and handy for the Lakes. Spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished with lots of lovely touches like a beautiful bunch of flowers and goodies on arrival. Highly recommended.

Oh my god!! What a great host and stay!! We and our guests from India were superbly impressed.

What a lovely find for a last minute get away. Very easy to book and communication was excellent. We were greeted by Martin, who offered to help with our luggage, quirky followed by Howard. Both hosts were friendly, chatty and welcoming and were available if we needed anything during our stay. Howie provided us with a parking permit, a bargain at £5 and Martin showed us to our suite to make sure we were happy. Recommendations for places to visit were also given The suite was spotless and had everything we needed for our short stay. Bed was super comfy, fluffy towels and it was great to have a living area to relax when we returned later in the evening. On leaving the following morning, Martin came to say bye and again offered to carry our luggage. We had a lovely time, great hosts and will definitely return and recommend to family and friends. Thanks Martin and Howie.

This place was a cool find. While being situated in a fairly old building (in keeping with the surrounding village) it has been recently renovated and felt cosy and modern, without being garish - just right we thought. Parking is available nearby but you may need to walk a wee way, not a problem for us, and there is a short term spot right by the door to the flat to unload your stuff. We forgot to sign the guest book (oops) but enjoyed our stay, and clearly others have too. If you're travelling to the Lakes District or plan to visit nearby Windermere and Keswick, this is a great base to start from. Thank you for letting us stay!

Stunning place, inside was lovely and beautiful surroundings. We booked last minute and as 2 travelling with work so did not get to enjoy the place as much as I wish we could of!

We had a fantastic stay at Jacquie and David’s AirBnB! Both were incredibly personable, friendly, and welcoming! It really felt like staying with old friends. The rooms were spotless, cosy, and full of charm, and the breakfast was absolutely spot on; a perfect way to start each day. The area is stunning too, peaceful and picturesque with lots to explore nearby. Their warmth and hospitality made our visit truly memorable. Would definitely stay again!

Brian made this weekend escape special. He was so communicative and helpful both ahead of our stay and during. The farmhouse is an authentic Westmorland 18th Century building with many original features. Our room and bathroom were private and cosy. Breakfasts were the perfect start to the day. Tea and coffee was also available in our room. Location was superb with a short walk to the local pub, The Punchbowl, a gastro pub with award winning fayre. Brian and I shared the same birthday (day and year), so we had lots in common. The cats were a great hit, with guaranteed cuddles and no claws. In summary, a great spot for a mini break in the Lake District!

Me and a group of friends stayed here over Easter and it was the most incredible place. Anton and Penny were so helpful and lovely. The complimentary breakfast and food at the pub was so delicious and the yurt was so cosy, clean and well put together. Would definitely come back to this Airbnb. Penrith was a 15 minute drive away and the village was very picturesque. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing stay with some very helpful hosts

It was a wonderful and unique experience, Elizabeth was wonderful and generous, the hostel was beautiful, comfortable and wonderful, the breakfast was beautiful, the view was amazing, I will repeat the experience again, thank you Elizabeth.

Ambleside and the location of the accommodation were excellent. Andy was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast set me up for a big day out. Dietary requirements were easily met withour any fuss. The room was comfortable and cosy.

Our second time staying, but this time with two toddlers as well. Helen and Peter couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We felt very so welcome and they really looked after us. We all enjoyed the lovely breakfast provided and slept well in the peaceful and comfortable room. This is a perfect b&b and we would highly recommend.

Had an amazing stay! Alda is so welcoming, friendly and so very helpful. Communication was fantastic! Felt like home from home. Everything was pristine. My two teens very much enjoyed staying too. Great choice of breakfast each morning. Loved the quietness/peaceful of where we stayed and its very beautiful surroundings. Will definitely be coming back to stay at Alda’s! Such a perfect base being on foot. Still so much more to see in the Lakes! Didn’t want to leave. Keswick has a place in my heart! Thanks so much Alda.
