We had an excellent accommodation in Ana's property. Extremely clean house with everything you need. The garden of the house is magnificent, very well cared for and reserved. Perfect for breakfast. We will definitely go back again and again.

An outstanding Airbnb in a beautiful location. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, with the added bonus of several different places to sit in the garden and enjoy the spectacular views of the Douro valley. But it's the hosts that make this place so special. Casimiro and his son Manuel represent what Airbnb is all about; they personally welcomed us, offering lots of recommendations for places to visit and local restaurants, but were never intrusive. Casimiro's wife had prepared a tray of 'entradas' - a Portuguese starter of cured meats, cheeses, bread and olives - plus a bottle of local wine. A couple of days later Casimiro appeared with an huge bowl of cherries from their own orchard. This Airbnb wasn't just somewhere to stay for a few nights, but an experience to be treasured.

Delightful spacious place. A bit remote, but also nice and quiet. Everything present. Friendly owners. And delicious oranges from the tree for fresh juice! From here, you can quickly reach the Douro valley.

The house is as it appears in the photos. It's very nice. It offers a setting in nature and with total tranquility to spend a few days of total rest and reading. It is also close to Braga and Guimaraes if you want to go on excursions. There is a restaurant very close by that you can walk to and eat well. Concensao is super friendly and very nice, always attentive if you need anything. Although she lives upstairs, it is a totally private space.

Joana's house was exactly what we needed, 4 adult couples from the family, each from a different part of the world. The house is wonderfully equipped Designed in an inviting rustic style and the garden is well maintained The property is exactly as shown in the pictures. It was well worth it!

Five stars to Casa de Cardido and to Rui and Alexandra for being wonderful hosts. We were a little late checking in, but Rui greeted us with a smile and a very generous tabua of local cheeses and meats. The hosts go above anything expected, with a sound system at the pool, exercise equipment, and fresh bread delivered daily. The house is a traditional Portuguese home - and it feels like a “home” not a rental. We spent two weeks here and it felt like staying with family. I noticed that one review commented on how close the highway is. Please know this is not a problem. You can see the highway when approaching the home from the road, but you cannot hear it and it does not interfere with the experience. This is very high quality stay with caring and involved hosts that will make sure you have all you need. I highly recommend.

I was very well received by Marta, who showed me the house and left food for my first breakfast, including homemade jam and fruit from the orchard. The location of Casa da Eira is fantastic, with beautiful views of the Douro river bay, a large patio with the same view and right next to the pool. The infinity pool is stunning with a view of the river and is large. The entire property is very well cared for, with gardens and fruit tree plantations; the size of the property provides walking paths and nooks to rest without leaving the premises. The house itself has all the amenities and is very comfortable, with a covered balcony that gives you the feeling of being in a tree house. Marta's kindness (who even offered me plums from the farm's production), the location and amenities, make this accommodation an ideal retreat for true rest, whether you go alone or with your family. I'll be back.
