Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Ames

We had a wonderful stay while in town for Iowa State graduation. It was so nice to have a pack n play for our grandson. Amy was very responsive and very kindly allowed us early access to the house which allowed us to get all set up before our whole family arrived. The beds were all comfy with nice bedding, bathrooms nice and quality towels and supplies. The kitchen had everything we needed. It was perfect for this weekend!

Nice place. Perfect place to stay with your pet. The only thing to consider is that if you want to go to the patio from inside the house, you have to go through one of the rooms. If not, you have to leave the house and enter through the outside door. But for me, it was not a big deal.

Although we only stayed one night, we were really comfortable here. clean, spacious and a kitchen that was very easy to work in. we made a nice breakfast for some local relatives and we were able to relax and catch up on the comfie living room furniture. Lots of cute touches in the decor throughout the house. while we didn't venture out to the yard, it is also spacious and well furnished for relaxation and play. Ella was flexible enough to allow us in a little early so we could get dressed for the funeral we came into town for. we were much more comfortable here than we would have been at a local hotel, for basically the same price. Exit instructions were clear, basic and easy. Thanks for a great stay, Ella.

We loved it so much that we stayed twice! It has so many special details, is extremely clean, very comfortable beds, fun kid area for my kids to play in. We love the neighborhood, going on walks, walking to downtown Ames, walking to the library etc. The backyard is relaxing and beautiful and the coffee bar was so fun. Loved all of it! Will be back!

Lovely comfortable home. As described. Perfect for graduation. Very comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, and the backyard was a little oasis. The kitchen had the basics and as we didn’t cook at all was fine. There was no sugar. So if you put sweetener in your coffee be sure to bring your own. The Fareway is a short walk and we were able to go and get coffee sugar easily. Would definitely recommend this house and it’s location for events at ISU.

Good location, easy walk to Campustown area of Ames. The house worked well for a group of 6 during a weekend reunion. Would stay there again. Host was responsive and communicative.

This was a great stay! The house was in pristine condition in a beautiful neighborhood. The house was spotless. Mitch's communications were positive from day one. He wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this host. A+A+

Great spot if you want a fun urban feel. So many great restaurants in walking distance! The views out of the loft bedroom at night were beautiful. Hello, Marjorie is a must check out if you enjoy a unique cocktail experience. Highly recommend!!

Greg has clearly invested many years into curating an eclectic and unique array of decor that makes the space come to life. Greg was extremely friendly and welcoming. His yard is something to behold! My dog loved it. We highly recommend Greg’s place for anyone visiting Des Moines!

We enjoyed our weekend at Hudson Acreage. Comfortable beds. Clean bathroom. Felt right at home. Our granddaughter loved feeding the horses and goats and petting the dogs. Thanks so much for the hospitality!

We spent the weekend checking out ISU and the area. Jolita's place is very conveniently located on a main (but not particularly busy) road, making it easy for us to get anywhere we chose. The home is quaint and cozy, and suited us perfectly :) We look forward to checking out the neighborhood more when the weather warms up.

Wonderful stay! Stephen's place was exactly as described and loaded with books, dvds and comfortable furniture. It was just what we needed for the stay in DesMoines. We will definitely stay again when coming to the area! Thank you!

Stayed a few days traveling with a small dog visiting family and high school reunion so was a great option. Great location to walk around the town to see all the changes over the years. Great walking trails around if you’re big walkers as we are.

Excellent location for Iowa State graduation weekend. Unit was clean and spacious yet had that college vibe. Beds were comfortable. Deck was a nice to place to relax in the evening. Plenty of parking and easy to find and gain access. Overall, a great value.

This home was a great place to stay. The place had everything we needed and more… the kitchen was full of appliances, extra bathroom supplies and so much more. I would definitely stay here again when I come to town. She was also very responsive, always answered in a timely manner which is very helpful.

Excellent Stay at Angela’s condominium— I would have loved to stay a few more days to explore all the area had to offer, but it was a quick stop on a long roadtrip. The shower and Steam room was an excellent touch. I would stay again without hesitation.

Jeffry's place was awesome for the quick overnight stay we had to see a show across the street af Wooly's. We will definitely be back soon!

Very friendly host. The apartment has a lot of space, is very clean and easy to live in. When we come back we would love to rent this apartment again. Around the corner several good restaurants and a hyvee to get groceries.

Great location for Iowa state university graduation weekend. Close to everything.

Crystal clear instructions on how to get into the building and once you get in, it’s easier the next time. Had a small hiccup with parking, because of a race that had all the streets around the building closed, but Kyle gave us an alternative suggestion that worked out just fine. Everything was clean and exactly as described and shown. One of the most comfortable bed/pillow combos we’ve had!! Great location and walkable to everything we were in town for.

The condo was amazing. Well furnished and comfortable beds. Lots of room to spread out. The rooftop area was pretty. The only negatives are that there is no front door…the only entrance is a steep garage. I’m not sure I knew that. Also, the k cup part of the coffee station was not working and the garbage disposal isn’t working.

This place is the cats meow!! I the heart of downtown with great views, easily walkable to so many places you’ll want to go!! Clean, bright, well thought out decor, just sets this place apart from so many others!! Tons of activities, hot spots, excellent resultants, easily walkable!! Felt safe and secure!! Felt like home away from home!! We will be back!!
