The Castle House – Castle of Collepino

Collepino, formerly called Colle-Lupino (Colle del Lupo), is a small castle of the early Middle Ages at 600m asl, within the park of Mount Subasio. Built in white and pink local stone, it still has 1 door, remains of the walls and 4 of the 7 original towers. From here you can enjoy the view of the Umbrian Valley. It was founded by local pastors who worked for the Abbey of San Silvestro. From Collepino there are several walks including the path of the Roman Aqueduct up to Spello.
