Cottage holiday rentals in Arbutus Lake

We had an amazing time at Salma’s big beautiful cottage! It’s like something out of a dream. The cottage itself is very beautifully designed with lots of wooden features & accents both within the interior and exterior. We fell in love with its beauty. It’s super spacious inside and has everything you need for a dreamy cottage weekend. The outdoor hot tub with string lights were a very cute touch! The large property is nestled within a lovely outdoor wooded area that feels far away from busy life but is actually only 15-20 minutes away from most local Traverse city places! So it makes for a great location that is best of both worlds. The cottage was very clean and it was very easy to spend the day lounging around in and then enjoy its cozy nature in the evenings. Salma was very kind and easy to communicate with! She was a wonderful host. We really loved staying here and would love to return someday. This is a true one of kind gem and I’m sure you’d make some wonderful memories here too.

Omg, I don’t have the words for how awesome this place is. First, it is exactly what you see in the pictures and more. Second, it’s not far from anything and third, it’s so peaceful. I could get lost in pure bliss there. Weather I was in the hot tub, the porch, at the table on the deck, the fire pit, the dock, or even just sitting on the beach collecting rocks. Absolute Heaven. I’ve even told the rest of my family that next time we go to Michigan, we’re going to Traverse City and we’re staying at this house. Absolutely amazing. Thank you so much. Thank you!

Cute house with a nice backyard area! Host is very proactive with communication and consistently encourages you to reach out if you need anything. Very easy to check-in and locate items throughout the house.

This cottage was so cute & cozy, and was fully stocked with amenities. They had a full coffee bar, fun games to play inside, cornhole for outside, kayaks, paddle boards and a paddle boat, and so much more. We spent our whole time outside enjoying the beautiful scenery and quietness. It was so relaxing and I would definitely recommend staying here, to friends and family. Plus downtown Gaylord was only a 10 minute drive away!

We really enjoyed staying at John’s cabin, I love fishing so being on the river and so close to good fishing trails was awesome. The cabin was very clean and nice and John provided everything you need which was awesome.

We had an amazing stay! The space was exactly as described - clean, stylish, and cozy. It was an ideal location, close enough to shops, restaurants, and trails, but still tucked away enough to feel private and peaceful. Would recommend!

Cannot recommend this host and this property enough. Nathan was communicative while we were still looking at the property, and responded quickly through the rest of the process until check out. He provided great recommendations for local places to try out and we had a peaceful stay. The property was roomier than expected for the master and cozy for the spare rooms, and we especially loved the living room and outdoor furniture. So happy to have found this gem of a place and excited to come back in the future!

My family & I loved it . Everyone was content just staying at the cottage . Lol but we did check out A couple of the recommendations & they were very nice !! Great stay will definitely book again !!

I loved this Airbnb! It was a perfect size and was beautiful. Super close to town yet still felt like we had a quiet neighborhood to stay in as well. Our host was the sweetest and communicated so well with us. If I ever need to come back to lake city, I would love to stay here again!

My family and I had a great stay at Robert's home. It was exactly what we were looking for in a long weekend in the Leelanau/Suttons Bay wine country with hiking trails, scenic roadways, and outdoor activities that we had in store. Robert was very accommodating and the home was exactly what we were looking for in a quiet rural space to recharge. We would love to stay here again if we make it back up that way. Nice little cabin, close to many bodies of water and centrally located between Glen Arbor and Leland. Had a great time.

House was very comfortable and easy for my elderly mother to get around. The handicap ramp and large bedroom and bathroom on the main floor made it possible for her enjoy the weekend. Road noise was not a problem once inside the house. The house was very organized and well equipped with everything we needed. We chose this place because we were traveling with a small dog and they even had dog supplies handy, leashes and paw wipes, right by the front door. The communication with the host was also amazing.

I highly recommend staying here. The place was clean and had a lot to offer with games, blankets, kitchen ware, air conditioners and a fire place. The cottage was clean and very welcoming.

This is our second time staying at Laurie’s Airbnb and we love it. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the winter wonderland up there. Laurie is very communicative and very helpful. The place is comfy and we love that we can bring our dogs!

Great place to stay for our group of 4 while playing some of the nearby golf courses. Exactly as advertised, and the path down to the river through the woods felt like true "Up North."

Little Skip Cottage was absolutely gorgeous & cozy — just perfect for our honeymoon. We loved everything about it and will certainly be back!

Beautiful peaceful place , private and easy to find , clean, neat . I loved it only suggestions is bring spray for the nats inside they were annoying it was better sitting outside no bug problems. Lol 😆 🤣

Our group really enjoyed our stay in Traverse City; we stayed Memorial Day weekend and a few of our guests ran the Bayshore Half Marathon and the house was perfect for our situation. It comfortably fit our group of 7 people, and there was ample space to park our 3 cars with plenty of room for more. The house was pristine upon check in with all the amenities you could need for a long weekend. We really enjoyed the games in the garage. Location was great with a short drive to downtown Traverse City, and we took advantage of a few of the great restaurant recommendations from the host throughout the weekend. I would stay here again without hesitation and recommend it to anyone who is heading to Traverse City!

The cabin was perfect for me and my 2 teenage sons. Completely stocked, clean, had WIFI service, plenty of parking. The area was beautiful and quiet. My sons enjoyed the lake and all there was to do outdoors. We are already planning a trip for next summer. Host was very responsive, and friendly.

Saying Charlie & his IMMACULATE cottage qualifies him as a "Super Host" is an understatement! We truly can't say enough good things about his communication, his beautiful home & location!ALL of our expectations were exceeded & we have never stayed in a cleaner place! My husband & I were with 2 other couples & we all brought our e-bikes. Having the lovely 18+ mile Tart Trail (that extends from Traverse City to Suttons Bay) & access to it from their side yard was a HUGE PLUS! Now let's talk about SOME of the ENDLESS things we enjoyed at Charlie's house-amazing & comfy bedding, linens & cushy carpet in the bedrooms, well equipped kitchen with SHARP knives for those of us who enjoy cooking/slicing & chopping, big screen TVs in all 3 bedrooms & family room of course, the fun game room - EVERYTHING looks brand new & matches-love the decor & all their comfortable furniture-so inviting! He even had a welcome basket of snacks & bottle of wine for us on arrival! The list is endless! TY Charlie!

This is an amazing property with a remarkable view over the lake. It is a very tranquil location and it is easy to feel close to nature. The cabin is very well appointed and was perfect! The host was incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with. Overall a five star property and experience. Highly recommended!
