Surrounded by pastures, it's a short walk to the Mad River for swims and walks. The Mad River Brewery is less than a mile up the road. Excellent mountain biking is 1 mile away. In a 15 minute drive you can find the hip town of Arcata, surrounded by redwoods and hiking as well as a majestic coastline. Sundays 10 am to noon we host a family friendly ecstatic dance in the studio adjacent to the apartment. Expect music at that time. Come join us! Public Yoga classes are Tuesday & Saturday am.

“Bungalow by the Bay” a little home away from home. Our 900sq/ft house is nestled in a small community on Humboldt Bay called Manila, between Eureka and Arcata. The area provides access to many activities; beaches, redwoods, and charming towns. Just a few blocks away is Samoa Beach and the Manila Sand dunes or head north to Moonstone Beach. To hike the redwoods, head to Sequoia Park or Redwood Park, both within 15 mins of the house. Also visit the charming towns of Trinidad and Ferndale.

Nestled away within the trees, close to nature areas for activity, and a convenient place to stay when visiting the redwood areas. Close to town for groceries and many food options. The cottage was an amazing and peaceful getaway. The photos of it were beautiful but in person… even more beautiful! It has been done so well and it is so aesthetically pleasing everywhere you look. It is so quiet and every morning we were greeted by the gorgeous surroundings and the sounds only being in nature can provide. Cassandra was so sweet when we met her upon arrival. She had great recommendations for where to eat and things to see while we were in the area. She is truly a kind soul. We absolutely loved our stay and cannot wait to go back! 💗

We really enjoyed our stay. Place is perfect for two people and it’s very quiet we love that. It has everything we need to feel at home. Made coffee in the morning and some basic food preps. The bed is very comfortable and we like the setting of peaceful and quiet surroundings. Nice small touches everywhere in the apartment. We would come back and stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay. The place is cute and clean and in a great quiet location that is easy to get out and explore the area around it. Tiffany was very responsive and had everything looking just as described in the listing. She even had some fresh fruit, chocolate covered nuts, and an assortment of kureig coffee pods or for us to enjoy after a long cast ride in. Loved it there and hope to come back again some day. Highly recommend.
