Everything is relaxing. The old stone mill and its green environment for the eyes, the sound of the river and the birdsong for the ears, the smell of trees in bloom and cut grass. The mill is a 5-10 minute walk to all the amenities that the small medieval town of Pons offers. Louise and Michael welcomed us warmly, caring about our well-being in their home while preserving our privacy. We had a great weekend at Moulin Chaillou, we can only recommend it. We had a wonderful week. Fred and Sabrina could not have made us feel more welcome. Would highly recommend this for a couple looking for a relaxing break close to many areas of interest. Every need was catered for and more and went way beyond our expectations. Very nice people.

We enjoyed a wonderful week at Edith and Christophe’s outstanding home. The accommodation within the beautiful grounds is a bucolic haven in an historic building. Everything we had read and the photos we viewed were entirely representative of what we experienced. Edith and Christophe are very welcoming and hospitable, understandably proud of their home and its location. We were given recommendations and plenty of information about what to do and where to go in the local area. The apartment was characterful and clean, with everything we needed. The master bedroom was bright and airy, with a large comfortable bed. The pool in the converted barn was wonderful. Like everything else, the attention to detail is noticeable, with comfortable sun-loungers and use of an open-air jacuzzi. Lounging in the jacuzzi in the summer sun, in a private garden with countryside surroundings was a time to feel good about life! We feel very fortunate to have discovered Logis de Chassagne.

Very nice week with family at Manoir Souhait. The cottage is exactly as shown in the photos and described. Very nice pool and hot tub. Numerous deckchairs and impeccable. Everything is neat, you feel very comfortable. The kids enjoyed the foosball and ping pong. The village is very quiet and pretty. Shops are 10 minutes by car. The area is beautiful in the July sun. Geocaching trail (Terra Aventura) with family in Cognac, Aulnay, La Touche de Périgny, St Jean d'Angely - discovering old stones, beautiful Romanesque churches and rivers. Visit to wineries and vineyards (we particularly recommend the Dhiersat house in Rouillac). We recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful vacation, family rest. Highly recommended!

We had a great time at Sonia's home, the apartment is ideally located for visiting the island. The terrace is nice and the apartment is perfectly equipped. Sonia and her husband were so welcoming!

Words cannot describe how peaceful and relaxing our stay was at Patrice’s home. Our dogs absolutely loved the big backyard and my husband and I loved being in such a cozy and comfortable home. Patrice was so kind to us and checked in on us to make sure that everything was going smoothly. I would recommend this stay to anyone! Thank you Patrice for such a wonderful time!

We spent a week with Thierry in May. Thierry responded very kindly and uncomplicated to the fact that our arrival was delayed more and more. He welcomed us very nicely and gave us many tips. You can see from the house that Thierry is a flea market fan, we thought that gives the house character, it is really unique. It is quiet, with a lot of nature around, the frogs croak their concert, and the nightingales sing at night. The large, slightly overgrown garden (we like it) was fenced in so that our dog could go in and out of the house as he pleased. The area is pleasantly less crowded with tourists, but there were still opportunities to do something. Small tip: do not stay in the caravan if you are taller than about 180 cm (we are a little shorter, so it worked out well). Many thanks to Thierry, we hope to come back!

the property is located in a beautiful village. At the corner of small streets very representative of the architecture of the island of Oléron we found this little haven of peace. This old Chaix is beautifully appointed and its overlooked terrace makes you feel at home. Another advantage the shops and restaurants are nearby and of remarkable quality.

Small quiet and peaceful village, perfect for relaxing and resting. Nice house with all amenities surrounded by a beautiful garden. We were also able to enjoy a very nice indoor pool. Recommended for people who love nature.

Diana and I were super happy with the place. Floki (our dog) got along great with the friendly Lola (her dog). Really great! The place was super clean, the amenities are great and the best part is, the landlords are totally accommodating and sweet. Really! Unfortunately, we were unable to use the pool due to the weather, but it is clean and a nice size. The bakery in the village is really highly recommended, especially the little chocolate cakes! 😍 It was a great stay! PS: The kitchen is well equipped and the dog can roam freely on the premises without being able to escape :)

Lovely property. Fantastic pool. We were a family of 8 + child and it was very comfortable. Close to Cognac and an hours drive from pool. Welcoming and responsive hosts. Definitely recommend.

This stay in Saint-Fort was really perfect. The location of the house has everything of a little corner of paradise. The house is exceptional, very well suited to a large number of travelers. The view from the house of the estuary is beautiful. We had a lovely weekend in this place. The communication, hospitality and responsiveness of our hosts were excellent. Thank you! We'll be back with pleasure.

The cottage has a large terrace and huge garden, there's ample parking space which we used for a BBQ for my local friends. Marie, also knowing these people joined us, a very agreeable evening. The place is very convenient for me when I come down to visit these friends, who are from the UK but lived in France for many years. I can easily walk into the village and enjoy an evening with them without worrying about having a little too much wine. The accommodation is very large, very well equipped, good WIFI, I was able to use my laptop to stay informed and listen to Classic FMM when I wished. All in all a very enjoyable stay and I will be coming down again, circumstances permitting, always an issue for octogenarians.
