The house is ideally-situated in the heart of the Anjou wine region, a few miles from Saumur (well-known for it's castle and the French National Horse-Riding School, ''Le Cadre Noir'', wine growers, and troglodytes sites). Also nearby: important castles in Angers, Chinon, Montreuil-Bellay, Brézé, as well as Europe's largest monastic center, the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, which features an excellent music and cultural program. Other worthwhile day trips include the exquisite Loire Valley castles, such as: Chambord, Blois, Cheverny, Azay le Rideau, etc. The house, which is about 187 miles from Paris (300 km), or about 2 hours by TGV, can accomodate two couples with children (sleeps six altogether). The appartement includes : an entrance hall, a large sitting and dining room with a small equiped kitchen, one bedroom, a bathroom, and a small bedroom on a mezzanine level.

Our Refuge is located between Saumur and Montreuil-Bellay on the banks of the Thouet, on the Loire à Vélo route. Peaceful and quiet house on one level with large living rooms. an equipped American kitchen open to the living room with its convertible corner sofa, and the dining room. A spacious bedroom with a large bed (160*200) will be ready to welcome you. baby kit, garden and outdoor furniture to enjoy the calm of the countryside, with barbecue, plancha.

Ideally located in a quiet historic district of Saumur, a ten-minute walk to the city center, your accommodation is furnished with great care, in an outbuilding of our house, in the heart of a charming garden enclosed by walls. The cottage is arranged as a studio, with a large living room, kitchen area and separate bathroom. The toilet is in the bathroom. Everything is on one level and overlooks the garden. Free public parking in front of the property.
