Cottage holiday rentals in Assisi

We stayed at the wonderful Fontanaro villa in the village of Paciano, and it was truly a soul-refreshing experience. Lucia is an incredibly caring host, and Pam, who looked after our stay, was a real treasure. She not only provided excellent recommendations on places to visit but also took care of reservations, ensuring we had nothing to worry about. This was not just an ordinary stay; it was a unique experience. We had the opportunity to participate in an olive oil tasting and a cooking class—both activities left an indelible impression. The villa we stayed in was not only stunningly beautiful but also boasted an impressive wine cellar with an extraordinary collection. Overall, our stay at Fontanaro villa exceeded all expectations. It was more than just accommodation—it was an experience we will never forget.

Peaceful, beautiful, authentic Italian experience which took our breath away. The home was so charming, in a beautiful setting a lovely pool. I open asked Floriana if I could move in! If I could, I certainly would. My fiancé and I enjoyed 3 nights here, and look forward to going back. Floriana is a wonderful host, and went above and beyond with our requests and needs. If this house is available, do not hesitate to book!

Wir haben uns in dem Haus rundum wohlgefühlt – alles war genau wie beschrieben. Antonio und seine Frau sind äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir konnten wunderbar entspannen und den Urlaub in vollen Zügen genießen. Das Haus ist uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen und wir planen auf jeden Fall wiederzukommen. In der Umgebung gibt es viel zu entdecken – besonders lohnenswert sind Tagesausflüge nach Tivoli, Assisi, Perugia, Pienza und Orvieto.

Wir haben die schöne Unterkunft und den großen, grünen Außenbereich sehr genossen. Die Aussicht auf den See ist umwerfend und man kann ungestört seinen Urlaub verbringen, da es keine direkten Nachbarn gibt. Die Casetta ist gut ausgestattet mit allen nötigen Utensilien, die man für den täglichen Bedarf benötigt. Frühstück oder Mittagessen haben wir immer gern auf der angrenzenden Terrasse unter dem schönen Blauregen genossen. Man sollte Essen allerdings nicht offen herumstehen lassen, da es Ameisen gibt. Im nicht weit entfernten Dorf hat man verschiedene Einkaufsmöglichkeiten oder Restaurantoptionen, und auch andere Orte sind gut und schnell erreichbar durch die nahe Anbindung zur Autobahn. Ein Höhepunkt des Urlaubs war Luigiana, die uns nicht nur sehr herzlich bei unserer Ankunft empfing, sondern während unseres ganzen Aufenthalts immer erreichbar war. Sie hat immer schnell reagiert, wenn man eine Frage oder ein Problem hatte. Außerdem hat sie sehr leckeres Olivenöl. Danke für alles!

Wir hatten sehr schöne 2 Wochen mit 11 Personen aus 3 Generationen in Vincenzos Haus. Uns hat besonders gut gefallen, dass alle Zimmer ein eigenes Badezimmer haben. So war für jede Familie ein eigener Rückzugsort gegeben. Zu unserem Willkommen wurden wir mit frischem Gemüse und einem Kuchen in der Küche überrascht, die ausgezeichnet waren. Die Aussicht aus dem Garten ist klasse, wir haben dort die meiste Zeit verbracht. Der Pool ist sehr groß und wurde von allen gerne und ausgiebig genutzt. Das war auch zur Abkühlung nötig, zu unserer Reisezeit war eine Hitzewelle in Italien mit Temperaturen von 38°C.

Luogo stupendo immerso nella natura, camere confortevoli e ottima disposizione della casa, molto pratica nonostante fossimo in 13 ospiti. Personale molto disponibile, ci siamo sentiti subito a nostro agio.

We have visited Alessandro’s place as a group of 6 adults and 3 kids!! Place was very spacious and had a great outdoors seating space as well as ‘games’ room with ping pong table. Pool was great size good for swimming and entertainment. Villa surrounded by great views and it’s up in the heals so therefore much cooler which was amazing during the extreme heat in Italy. Alessandro thank you sooo much for fantastic time!! We will be back ❤️

Soggiornare in questo cottage è stata un’esperienza meravigliosa! Panorama splendido e Federica è una persona gentilissima, davvero squisita! Il cottage è semplicissimo da raggiungere, le stanze sono pulite e c’è tutto l’occorrente per trascorrere qualche giorno in relax…bellissima anche la piscina, la zona solarium e gli animali. Posto perfetto per chi ha bambini o vuole rilassarsi immerso nella natura!

Die Wohnung von Livio und Vittoria ist sehr geschmackvoll und elegant eingerichtet, geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Die kleine Küche ist gemütlich und ermöglicht die Zubereitung von vollständigen Speisen. Die Umgebung ist wundervoll und lädt zu schönen Ausflügen ein. Der Pool ist angenehm und bietet herrliche Entspannung. Wir haben es als Familie mit Hund sehr genossen.

Un merveilleux séjour ! Merci à toute l’équipe pour ces quelques jours que nous avons beaucoup appréciés. Le lieu est à la fois isolé dans un vallon magnifique et à quelques minutes de Assise et des commerces. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les moments passés au bord de la piscine, sur la terrasse et le petit déjeuner que nous avons réservé. Les lits sont très bien, le linge nickel. Je recommande !

Wir waren eine Woche dort und sind sehr happy gewesen. Wir wollten nach einem familiären Schicksalsschlag flüchten und fanden genau das, was wir suchten. Ruhe, Natur, Erholung und sehr liebevolle Vermieter. Eine wahre Oase inmitten der Natur, und die Sonnenuntergänge haben uns schwer beeindruckt. Wir wurden super freundlich empfangen und was auch immer unser Anliegen war, jederzeit wurde uns sofort geholfen. Der Pool ist phänomenal und auch im September noch warm genug zum Schwimmen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!!!

The Lakehouse is even better than the pictures, it’s a perfect place to relax or as a base to explore the local area. The villa also has kayaks and paddle boards to explore the lake. The hosts David and Chrissie are the most accommodating organised people I have come across on air bnb. I highly recommend.

Il nostro soggiorno nell’appartamento La Bozza è stato piacevolissimo. Nonostante avessimo 3 cani non si è verificato alcun problema, Michele è sempre stato disponibile e reperibile per qualsiasi cosa. Un casale fantastico immerso nella natura con uno spazio aperto fantastico. 10/10

La casa está preciosa y en una zona tranquila. Carla nos recibió con gusto y nos obsequió unos tomates. También recibimos tomates del vecino que tenía su huerta al lado de la casa. Tuvimos una semana muy agradable, desconectados del mundo moderno. Las noches también fueron de ensueño, se podía ver el cielo estrellado y escuchar a los grillos. Con mucho gusto volveríamos a hospedarnos aquí. La comunicación con Carla fue excelente, se mostró siempre atenta. Tuvimos una semana increíble!

We had stayed at another of Cinzia's properties 6 ½ years ago, and we just fell in love with everything: the place, Cinzia, her mother Rosella, the cats, the views! We had hoped to stay at the same place again, but it was booked. Oh, no! We really wanted to go back, and miracle-worker Cinzia managed to arrange a rental at a nearby location. It was everything I said it was in the starred reviews, but it was up one of the steepest hills I've been known to ride on, which means, of course, that you need to park a bit away on a flat place and make your way up the hill. We did go back down to Cinzia's place a couple of times—Cinzia, Rosella, and Silvestro the Guard Cat were all wonderfully the same. Cinzia gave us some great suggestions about new towns to visit and even drew us a map. I can't recommend her highly enough! We would even like to go back, but to Cinzia's own place. Umbria is so beautiful and historic!

Wonderful place. We loved it from the first moment. It is exactly as nice as shown on the pictures. The area around is beautiful and lots to explore. We booked it again for summer as we just loved it. Christina and her husband are really nice and happy to help wherever they can. We had our dog with us and she loved it too! Perfect place if you want to relax!
