We have restored an ancient bread oven on our little farm to make a cosy retreat in a quiet corner of the Dordogne. The kitchen and bathroom combine modern fittings with ancient beams and stonework while the comfortable sitting room features a log burning stove and the original paddle for the old bread oven, found when we started the renovation work. Right in the heart of the Drome Valley, our secluded house is two kilometers from the village of Saillans. From GR trails, it offers a breathtaking view of Les Trois Becs. Our agricultural activity blends with a rich nature and promotes biodiversity. The sheep graze around the house from October to May and some go to alpine during the summer period. We produce yogurt and sheep cheese during the low season.
