Holiday rentals with a kayak in Ayrshire

Had a fab weekend with family in Shorelands. Danielle was a fabulous host. Accommodation was very comfortable and spotless. Would highly recommend.

Booked this for a stag do for 9 guys and we had a great time (A few had to share double beds!) The pool table, hot tub, darts, kayaks etc were brilliant to keep us entertained. The house was immaculate and very spacious. We really appreciated the free drinks in the fridge on arrival, as we arrived a little late. I would definitely recommend for a group getaway!

We had a fantastic stay in this cosy cottage - a few minutes walk to the beach and close to the bus into central Edinburgh. Discovering Portobello was an unexpected surprise and we enjoyed Eleanor’s food and drink recommendations (especially tanafiki coffee)!! The house had everything we needed and felt very homely. Couldn’t recommend more!

The house and location were fantastic, and the pictures provided on airbnb did not give it full justice. The house is very spacious and clean. Such a beautiful property, and kayaking on the loch was great. Very convenient for outings in all directions. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Theresa is a great host!

The boat cottage is absolutely stunning and Jo is a wonderful host. A perfect getaway, especially if you are bringing your dog with the private beach just steps away ! :)

Our experience at this property in Scotland was wonderful from start to finish. The booking process was straightforward, and our reservation was confirmed almost immediately, making everything effortless. Arriving at the property, however, turned into quite an adventure. We arrived in the evening amid heavy rain, with visibility low, and had to navigate a few remaining potholes along the way (though most had been filled in). Thankfully, we managed to find the key safe, unload our luggage, and settle in for the night. The next morning was a completely different scene. We woke up to clear skies and stunning views across the bay from both the bedroom and the lounge—it was breathtaking. Our first instinct was to get dressed and head straight to the beach for a morning walk, which was the perfect way to start the day. Inside, the house is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean, with attention to detail everywhere. Premium shower gels were stocked in the bathrooms—a thoughtful touch

We really enjoyed our stay, the house was clean & spacious and perfect for our family of four. We especially enjoyed the view from the loft room and the balcony area.

We had a wonderful 9 night stay at Dereks home near Aberfoyle. The house is in a fantastic location if you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life, and explore Scotland. The scenery is stunning and there is plenty to see and do in the local area and beyond. The property itself was perfect for our needs, with plenty of amenities due to it being the hosts own home not just used as an Airbnb. Spacious rooms allow for a great experience and have to say one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in. The house was clean and tidy ready for our arrival after requesting a slightly earlier check in time, which was much appreciated. Derek and family were always at the end of the phone if we needed anything. Fantastic time was had by all, would highly recommend!

Such a beautiful part of Scotland, the cottage has everything you need. We loved swimming in the Lock and just getting a break from the real world! Will definitely visit again in the future.

We had a lovely weekend at stable cottage. It was in a very quiet area and in easy walking distance to shops,restaurants etc. The cottage is very nice and very clean and modern. We definitely stay again

We have just had 4 peaceful and relaxing days at The Boathouse. Beautiful accommodation and location, lovely dog walks, superb hosts who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Highly recommended.

Amazing location and views... the hot tub with a lake view really did it for us and make the whole experience magical! We also found a Happy Birthday card on the table from the Tranquill Otter team which was really appreciated.

Lovely lodge, beautiful surroundings. Our children (age 4 and 7) really enjoyed the hot tub. Going out on the boat was beautiful - request buoyancy vests in advance. House clean and comfortable. Well equipped for cooking.

Amazing location right by the lake. Lovely cabin and the hot tub was cracking. Having a little boat to row out onto the lake was a nice little touch. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

an incredible few nights away at The Tranquil Otter for my partners birthday. From booking to checking out, we were left fully satisfied. clean, accessible and in a lovely location with access to a private row boat to explore the lake. We will definitely be recommending this place to all our friends and family. thank you for the perfect stay!

Beautiful cabin. Amazing views. Peaceful surrounds. Private hot tub. What more could you want? Everything you need for a wee getaway. So picturesque and peaceful. Perfect for a relaxing stay. Information from the host was clear to follow. Cabin includes tv, hairdryer, plates, glasses etc, and a mini fridge and toaster. There was also complimentary water and coffee. We will definitely be back!
