From Nauendorf near Apolda to Jena it is about half an hour by car, the same to the former cultural capital of Weimar. The climatic health resort of Bad Sulza, with brine, thermal baths and spa clinic, is only 15 minutes away by bus or car.

The apartment is the starting point for hiking and cycling tours to the Ilm Valley and Belvedere Palace. The city center with its sights, the nearby Goethepark and cafes is within walking distance in addition to the bus.
