Monthly Rentals in Barley

A lovely place and it made for a smooth stay and convenient for the rural drive along to Duxford (about 10 mins). There are peaceful walks on the doorstep and it’s about a 10 min. walk to The Pheasant pub (good food/drinks). It was a hot week and the little room did get very toasty but the fan helped (and was quiet enough for night time use). Also the park & ride was ideal (the Trumpington one) and stopped at the beautiful botanic gardens in Cambridge which we’d highly recommend for a great picnic and a relax. Would recommend this place…Jemma & the little dogs were lovely hosts and we’d like to return sometime.

I stayed for a week on a short walking holiday and family visit. The flat is ideally situated and maintained in great condition. Facilities were totally adequate and Catharine was a good and responsive host. I appreciated the folder of local walks and places to eat that Catharine had left. We stayed for 3 nights the place exceeded our expectations. Attention to detail was amazing, a pint of milk in the fridge and everything you need in the kitchen. The place was quiet and spacious with lovely views across open farmland. The place is modern, very clean and tidy. You are a short drive to local shops and 10 minutes from Royston. We also visited the excellent Duxford aircraft museum just 10 mins drive away. We recommend this place and hope to stay again in the future.

We had an amazing stay! Beds were VERY comfortable! Host was incredibly hospitable and cottage was quaint and scenic views and sunset from the garden. And we had an amazing Sunday lunch in a local pub (about a 15 min walk away). Highly recommended! A gem in the countryside!
