Monthly Rentals in Barra Island

A wonderful find in a stunning area, you need to travel few miles on a track road , but it worth it. The accommodation had everything all very clean, the only downside for us was the height of the bed getting in and out. It’s cosy great views and we both enjoyed it.

Terrific caravan and even in high winds it felt secure, safe and cosy. Wonderful views down to Castlebay. The bedrooms are small but one of the best nights sleep, such comfy beds. Having the third bedroom very useful for luggage. Very comfortable and large lounge area with a sofa to stretch out on, everything you need in the kitchen. Thank you Loraine

Firstly; Peter was a very responsive, informative and “friendly” host - right from the start of our booking process, through to post departure. The Cottage was set in a very peaceful and idyllic location nestled in between three breathtaking beaches (only minutes away by foot), one of which has the iconic gate entrance and is seen on many postcards. The 25 minute costal drive from Castlebay (Barra) is equally as stunning. The Cottage was cozy, and tastefully equipped / stocked with everything you would find at home (except freezer, which was not a problem for us), allowing for a comfortable stay. Take your time and no rushing up and down the stairs. If we were ever to return (which we hope to), this Beautiful home away from home would be our first choice. We left with full hearts after an epic stay that exceeded our expectations in every way. So, THANK YOU Peter!! Truly Amazing!!

The pod was well equipped and its layout made it feel quite spacious. It wasn’t necessary to turn on the heating despite the chill weather as the pod was warm and cosy inside. We especially liked the sitting area on the decking - the midges can be a pest - maybe a citronella candle might help - but the wonderful view including a beautiful sunset and an accompanying sound of corncrakes made it very special! Michelle was a great host and we appreciated the milk and pancakes she left for us. We would highly recommend this pod as a comfortable base for exploring the amazing island of Barra
