Here you can walk right from the front door and start your adventure around the Berchtesgaden mountains.

We will welcome you to the Holznest! Your cozy cottage with wooden cabin flair. You can expect natural materials and sustainability on two levels in our 2022 completed solid wood house. Downstairs are the living/cooking/dining area with sofa bed and terrace, upstairs the panoramic bedroom and bathroom with rainfall shower. Enjoy the coziness and warmth of the spruce wood. Our guest apartment is on the second floor of an old town house in the heart of Hallein and offers a nice view of the pedestrian zone. Shops, bakeries, cafes, ice cream parlors and restaurants with beautiful gardens are practically at your doorstep. The medieval salt and Celtic city of Hallein is considered the “little sister” of the cultural city of Salzburg, which can be reached by S-Bahn in approx. 20 minutes.

There is free parking in front of the house and the bus stop can be reached in 1 minute on foot.

There are numerous ski resorts nearby, such as the Gastein Valley or the Kitzsteinhorn. In summer you will find numerous opportunities to hike, climb or mountain bike and then you can refresh yourself in the natural pool or relax in our panoramic sauna overlooking the Hochkönig.
