Sinds 1980 runt boer Folkert de melkveehouderij waar 110 koeien gemelkt worden. Kom tot rust in de hot tub of neem een duik in de zwemvijver nabij. Ga met de veerboot een dag naar Terschelling of Vlieland. Breng een bezoek aan de hoofdstad Leeuwarden of stap op de fiets en verken de omgeving.

Lodging "Smederij Sterk" is located in the old city forge of J. Sterk. The monumental building dates from 1907 and is located in the middle of the city center, close to museums, restaurants, cozy shopping streets and the station. Guest accommodation on the first floor of our sustainable home (1880). Private entrance, kitchen, shower and toilet. Located on the continuous waterway. We live in the house (Jasper, Marleen, Thijmen, 12, Rense, 9, and Feline, 7). We renovated the house ourselves. Recently, the entire guest house has been renovated. The guest house has a kitchenette with all the necessary amenities (fridge-freezer, coffee maker, kettle, microwave, stove, etc.)

Sleeping with the sheep & a whole herd of horses.

Waking up overlooking the dining room of a herd of horses living in freedom, 2 pigs making their bed every night in front of the window and sometimes a sheep walks by.
