Stone Country Cottage

Very private, quaint stone cottage in the Townland of Coomkeen, on the Sheep's Head Peninsula (the Wild Atlantic Way), Ireland's best hiking country. Two Miles to village of Durrus, five miles from town of Bantry. Cottage was originally built in 1845 by my great uncle. ceilings in kitchen are low, in order for fireplace to keep warm. There are odd heights in doors typical for the era., PLEASE BE ADVISED PERHAPS A CHALLENGE FOR VERY TALL VISITORS. Or you can take a walk back in time and enjoy.

Situated beside our farm, private and secluded, our loghouse is just 6km from the Ballydehob village and 13km from Schull. West Cork has much to offer : For walkers and sightseers explore the three peninsula's : Mizen, Sheeps Head and Beara, as well as the islands incl. Sherkin and Cape Clear. For culinary lovers check out quirky cafes like Budds (Ballydehob ) or 2 * Michelin Custom House (Baltimore). There are many beautiful beaches with boat trips and sailing/surfing/kayaking available

The Old Church Hall, Ballydehob.

A 200-year-old church hall, transformed into a uniquely spacious & stylish townhouse, accommodating 4 guests in comfort. Terracotta flooring throughout with underfloor heating and a solid-fuel stove. The open-plan layout consists of a fully equipped kitchen and a double-height living/dining area. The bedroom has a King-size bed (200cmx150cm) and en-suite bathroom with shower. The second bedroom is a spacious mezzanine with two single beds. This mezzanine overlooks the open-plan living room.

Relax and enjoy the ebb and flow of the tide overlooking Croagh Bay located just inside the iconic Fastnet Lighthouse. Situated a 10 minute (10km) drive from Schull the location is ideal to immerse yourself in all the sea and the Wild Atlantic Way has to offer (swimming, kayaking, fishing, sailing) and enjoy the West Cork walking trails, including Barleycove Beach and Mizen Head.

Stroll down to the bottom of the garden where you can pop in for a dip or enjoy a longer swim. Bring your own kayaks, or explore the area on bikes whatever you fancy. Go kayaking with seals in adrigole, picnic on the beach, or take long winter strolls! Or maybe just watch Netflix and relax !

Waterfall lodge is a 100 year old stone built cottage, full of old world charm, with all the mod cons. It is on the Sheep's Head Peninsula, with both mountain and sea views. And with your own waterfall right beside the house, you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity it brings. A 5 minute walk down the mountain brings you to a roadside beach where you can watch the sun go down. Whether its a romantic getaway or a few days of mindfulness, you won't be disappointed.

The house is open plan downstairs consisting of a kitchen, sitting area and a bathroom with shower. Upstairs there is bedroom and a small bathroom. The space is very bright and airy. There is a back yard and garden to sit out in after a day trekking around. There is a good internet service within the house. The kitchen is fully equipped for those who like to self cater. It is really convenient to the main street, sea walk and public transport services.

The cute tiny house with attached conservatory is located in an absolutely quiet location on Sheeps Head on the Wild Atlantic Way, offering peace, relaxation, deceleration and is ideal for exploring West Cork and the Irish southwest coast. It is located on a large property about 3 km from Durrus, next to the main house, has its own entrance and its own outdoor area with several seats, one of them with beautiful sea views, over Dunmanus Bay to Mizen Head.
