The house where the farmer used to live with his family has been converted into a comfortable apartment with a spacious living room and open kitchen downstairs, overlooking the meadows and the Wanswert church. The apartment is in personal style and fully furnished. Where possible, we have used second-hand furniture. Together with the piano and comfortable wood stove, a pleasant living climate is created. The apartment has a cozy private garden around it, a private front door and lots of privacy.

Viel von seinem ursprünglichen Charme haben wir belassen und mit vielen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Het ligt midden in het Unesco Werelderfgoed, waar je intens kunt genieten van de rust en schoonheid van het Waddengebied. Het appartement is verrassend ruim (70m2) en biedt plaats aan maximaal 5 pers. Kinderen kunnen zich vermaken op de trampoline, op het gras/voetbalveld en kunnen ook knuffelen met onze konijnen en cavia's.

Groote Medwerd 'de Molkekeamer' guesthouse

All our apartments have their own entrance, kitchen, shower and toilet. Here you can easily keep 1.5 meters away from other guests. The Groote Medwerd is located just outside Holwerd. It features a sun terrace, garden and meadow views. Equipped with a television and a seating area to relax after a busy day. Recreatiepod FerWad

Stay in the cozy FerWad Pod, in the middle of the Frisian mounds landscape and close to the Wadden Sea. Here, nature is central: wake up with wide views, hear the birds and enjoy the peace and quiet. The Pod is compact but complete with double bed, bathroom, kitchen and dining table for two. There is plenty of storage space and outside you have your own veranda. Via the gravel path, you can easily reach the Pod and park your car right next to it.

The Carriage House near Leeuwarden

Rural location on the Elfsteden route, on the edge of the Leeuwarder forest we rent out our "6 person coach house". The former coach house we have converted into a beautiful apartment and is next to our farm with private terrace on the south. Do you want to stay in a quiet environment where nature plays the main role then this apartment is for you. We, Ate and Gerda are owners since 2016 and have made our farm in Jelsum completely sustainable.
