Holiday rentals with a kayak in Bollenstreek

We had a very nice weekend at Frank's place. In good weather - if you can sit outside - this place is perfect. Amsterdam and Utrecht are easily and quickly accessible. The surroundings around the property are also very welcoming.

We had an excellent stay at Anneke’s place. The place was quite aesthetic as well as so convenient with an amazing garden. Our 3 year old daughter especially enjoyed the trampoline and the swing in the garden. The location was really apt, we could do day trips to Amsterdam, Zaanse Schans, Hague, Utrecht, Haarlem. Overall a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend.

All in all a great accommodation, modern, beautiful ambience, quiet, the garden with the furniture, the size, the jetty and the canal just great. In addition, the accommodation is very centrally located to take beautiful bike tours, the small town for the small shopping right in front of the door, what more do you need for an extended weekend. . .

Karel is a remarkable host. Attentive, very available and discreet; he kindly prepared his boat for us without us having warned him very early for that and inquired to allow us to watch a football match (a special request from one of us). Regarding the house, it is incredibly large, extremely well-equipped, nicely furnished and has very beautiful exteriors overlooking the river. I highly recommend staying at Karel's and I hope to return!

Gorgeous house, great location, super-helpful and friendly hosts - what more could you ask for?

We had a nice stay at Nanette's! The accommodation was clean, lovingly furnished and exactly as described. The kitchen was very well equipped. The mattresses (we slept upstairs on the right) were also very good and we were able to sleep well in them. Nanette is a warm hostess who goes to great lengths to make you feel welcome. She also gave us many good tips for our stay. The house is quite far out. For us, the reason to rent this house. In the brasserie, which is within walking distance of a small harbor, there is a small selection of tasty dishes. A small supermarket can also be reached by bike in about 10 minutes. On some days (depending on the weather) there was a small odor problem in the bathroom from the drain pipe. We will nevertheless also consider renting this house in the future.

The accommodation completely convinced us: very clean, everything you need for a holiday week, very comfortable beds, great bathroom, appealing outdoor area. Very friendly, uncomplicated hosts, always available and with proactive tips, e.g. on the changed route. We can fully recommend Micaela and John's house.

We booked the house because it appealed to us from the reviews. Our expectations were far exceeded. We arrived at a house where we immediately felt at home. In the kitchen there is everything you need for daily use. Everything is very clean and tastefully decorated. Communication with Saskia was possible without any problems. We rented the house with a friendly couple and went home after a week very well recovered. We can recommend the house without hesitation. We would like to come back next autumn. What an amazing place to stay it with kids, there was so much space around the lodge which all felt really safe to let them explore different activities. There was a quite a few groups there but it was never noisy or overcrowded. The lodges were really cool and different to what we stayed in previously, it did go a little cold one of the nights we were there but they were still comfortable and nice (you can rent heaters if needed). We would 100% come back in the future if we travel that way again. We went for a trip to Amsterdam which was easy to get to and Sprookjeswonderland which I would recommend too with children under 6/7

Great! Very responsive host, accommodation even more beautiful than in the photos, very clean, really great! I recommend it if you want to get away from the city for a few days!

We enjoyed our stay at Wendela's. We were warmly welcomed. The "Rosenhäuschen" was exactly what we had imagined. It was our home away from home. And we'll be back for sure.

We had a great stay in the tiny house. Mariska is a nice host with great communication. Highly recommended. Another culinary tip: eat at the Grand Cafe Kade. Delicious fish, top service.

We had wonderful days at Frederika's, the place looks even nicer in real life than on the pictures. Special highlight next to the incredibly beautiful view - the rowing boat! Which we were allowed to rent for free! Small but nice. Would recommend! Note: Wifi is certainly not required in such an environment, but would have made the stay even more pleasant. Thank you!

Sonja's place is very nice and privately located. The possibility to kayak through the canals was also great. We will be happy to come back.

We had a very lovely stay in Jisp with Esther and Marc. Spacious accommodation in such a peaceful location. Our hosts were fantastic, so accommodating and helpful. We made the best of the weather with several days of cycling and relaxing. Public transport is excellent as to be expected. We would love to come back and explore more of North Holland.

We had a very nice time. The house is great, you have everything you need and it was all very clean. The location is fantastic. You have a large private garden and a private jetty. Haarlem is accessible by bike and extremely beautiful. Also a very good supermarket and a nice restaurant are only 1 km away. Amsterdam and the beach can be reached by car within 20 minutes. So you can do a lot and are still very much on your own and in nature.

Marja's place is magical! surrounded by water, farms and fields, perfect for nature lovers. We loved it: Take walks with our three kids with the canoes on loan from Marja and fishing right in front of the house. The proximity to Delft, a city for which we had a real favorite , we really recommend renting bikes and making the bike paths around the city to discover the region . The house looks directly onto a bike path but we didn't mind. The view of the water is so beautiful and offers amazing sunsets. Need to Know: The house is small but sufficient for 5, however you should know that there is only one toilet located directly in the bathroom. The boiler placed behind the wall of the master bedroom can make noise at night, on Marja's advice we turned off the heating at night and this guarantees you peaceful nights. We will be back!!

The cabin is simply a dream in the middle of the countryside! So lovingly made and you can relax so wonderfully and let your mind wander. Just as beautiful as in the photos, so definitely recommended! It is wonderfully quiet, but you can also be in the next town in a few minutes. The apartment is clean and cozy and you have what you need. I'm sure we'll be back! Judith and Juul are so nice and helpful, that's not a given! :)

very polite and helpful great place to stay

This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Alkmaar! It is close enough to enjoy all that the city has to offer, yet it also provides a beautiful, peaceful escape from the business and crowds. Han and Kelly were great hosts, providing helpful recommendations and even rides from the train station and into Alkmaar. We also enjoyed hanging out with the dog, cat and chickens! We would definitely stay here again.

The Kota of Jolanda and Falko is a wonderfully cozy place and nicely decorated. Because it is made of wood, it feels very natural inside and you can relax. The garden is beautifully landscaped with lots of nice corners and beautiful views. Its sunsets are phenomenal! You can walk into the beautiful Zouweboezem in no time. Jolanda and Falko like to think along about beautiful walks and are open for a chat. For fridge and toilet, you have to walk a little bit through the garden. If you adjust to that, that's no problem. The wifi doesn't reach to the Kota right now, but we're still thinking about editing this in the future. By the way, it does offer a chance to really switch off😉. All in all, a nice place with friendly people and a beautiful area.
