Cottage holiday rentals in Boshkung Lake

This is a beautiful place to stay, right on the lake with an amazing view, and a friendly beaver right next door! Our highlights were the hot tub, the fire pit and kayaking on the lake. This spot would be amazing in the Summer. The house is clean and well set up, the 2 downstairs bedrooms are small but just fine for sleeping. There is plenty of room in the rest of the house.

Great cozy cottage with a private lake entrance. Miles was a great host. Hot tub & sauna were very enjoyable and overall the place was great.

Wait.. there is no option for 6 stars!?! Wow, where to begin!?! From check-in to check-out, our group had a fantastic time. Our host was super friendly and easy to connect with at all times. Our group had 8; 6 adults, a teen & a child. Everyone was entertained at all times from the karaoke machine, the games, the hot tub, the firepit, the kayaks & canoes, the swimming, and the stairway to haven, which was truly breathtaking taking!!! The town of Halliburton was a short 10 minutes away where we enjoyed some shopping, lunch & coffee. We were celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary; 78 & 73 years young and they rocked that staircase several times! We frequent Air B N Bs often and this is by far my new favourite. There is already talk of a return visit in the future. Highland Bliss is gourgeous, loaded with all the amenities, is spotless, super comfortable and my family is so thankful to Marcia for allowing us to visit her beautiful space and create lasting memories!

We were looking for a nice place with indoor pool for our kids, this place was exactly what we were hoping for! The house is very nice, has a few stores nearby to buy anything you might forgot back home. We will definitely come back again!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage in the woods! It was clean, spacious, and incredibly peaceful — the perfect nature escape. The hot tub was amazing, and the game room was such a fun bonus. We also loved how cozy and comfortable the beds were, and the living room and big kitchen made it easy to relax and enjoy meals together. Just a heads-up: there are quite a few mosquitos, so be sure to bring some bug spray. Other than that, everything was perfect. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet getaway surrounded by nature!

My friends and I stayed here for a winter weekend away and it was just what we needed/wanted in a little cottage. Great location for those coming from the GTA and nice and close for those in Simcoe. Once we got there we felt right at home! The hosts had cleared the walking paths and back deck of any recent snow fall which made it nice and easy to get inside and enjoy the grounds. They went above and beyond by having the wood burning stove going for us when we checked in which made CARL that much more cozy and welcoming. Communication and instructions were very clear and detailed from start to finish which made the whole rental process easy and enjoyable. My friends and I look forward to coming back to CARL in the future!

My friends and I had a wonderful weekend at this cottage. The lakefront property is beautiful, clean, and our favourite part was watching the gorgeous sunsets that could been seen from the terrace as well as from inside. Jesse was easy to reach and made sure that everything ran smoothly and that we were having a good stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage! Claudia’s home is warm, welcoming, and had everything we needed — plus thoughtful extras for us, which we really appreciated. The space was clean, spacious, and cozy, with plenty of room to relax. Being pet-friendly was a huge bonus for us (there is an additional pet cleaning fee, which is good to know ahead of time), and it was clear that Claudia had gone out of her way to make pets feel at home too. We loved spending time on the water using the kayaks and canoe, and enjoyed cozying up by the fire both nights of our stay. The neighbors were also very friendly, which added to the relaxed atmosphere. We’d absolutely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable getaway — especially if you're traveling with a dog!

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Less than 1km from OFSC trails (primary reason for our stay). We enjoyed the quiet of the lake, bbq one evening and the wood stove for heat. Michelle, our host, was very responsive to all of our questions leading up to and during our stay.

The place was extremely well equipped. It was everything we could ask for but more. The lake was calm and beautiful during the time we were there. I took the opportunity to propose to my partner by the dock. Safe to say it’ll be a place we will remember for the rest of our lives!

We're very enjoy Dave's place with clean house. the view from the lake are so great. You can view the sunrise from the lake deck areas with amazing feeling. Very happy and enjoy staying in this cottage. Thank you Dave and Sylvia and let our party have a wonderful memory.

Our stay at Wren Lake was amazing. The cottage is on a small hill that overlooks a cove in the lake. The dock was very spacious, which was perfect for relaxing and tanning outside. We loved all the water toys!!! The cottage itself was slightly smaller than we anticipated, but it made for a cozy and more comfortable stay. The spaces were very clean, and organized. We all particularly enjoyed the black out curtains located in each room! With Dorset less than 12 minutes away, it made our stay more convenient and easy. Michelle was very responsive and a very awesome host :) We would all recommend Michelles cottage, it is perfect for a quiet, and relaxing stay away with friends or family.

Our stay at Mike and Elaine’s place was simply amazing. Beautiful spot on the lake. It was so nice to relax on the dock, jump in for a swim, go for a paddleboard or kayak, enjoy the fire at night, or play some games in the screened-in muskoka room. They really have thought of everything here. As hosts, they went above and beyond to make sure our time there was perfect. Couldn’t ask for a better spot, or better hosts.

Michel’s place was very clean and nice, situated in a very convenient location. He was a very effective communicator , great host and had an incredible space that was clean and modern. Would definitely recommend his spot for anyone in the Muskoka area.

We had an amazing stay at the cottage! It was incredibly comfortable and had everything we needed to feel right at home. The property itself was fantastic – we loved spending time outdoors, and the dock and lake were simply incredible. The water was crystal clear and perfect for swimming, and we had such a great time kayaking around the lake. A big thank you to Brandon for a wonderful experience! We can’t wait to come back next season. Highly recommended!

This place is a hidden gem! Nathan, the host was extremely welcoming and was very easy to communicate with the entire time. Trust me, this cottage is even nicer than how it looks in the images! It’s on a nice lake, has a beautiful dock, the cottage is very warm and cozy, the property is beautiful, it’s nearly impossible to run out of firewood there, the beds were very comfortable, and the sunroom is one of my favourite things about the place. I would recommend this host and cottage to anyone!

Had a really lovely weekend at Mei and Sean’s cottage. The cottage is very cute, clean and was exactly as described in the listing. Mei and Sean were great hosts. They were very friendly, proactive and helpful. They provided very clear directions on how to get to the cottage which was appreciated. We were 2 families (9 people) and were very comfortable….plenty of space to stretch out. Loved the option to have open or covered patio, and made good use of the kayaks. We hope to visit again someday. Thanks again for a great long weekend!

Spent a relaxing long weekend at Amanda’s beautiful cottage. The space is gorgeous and full of light from the wrap around windows. Great open concept kitchen at the centre of the cottage which had everything we needed to cook wonderful meals. The fireplace is lovely on a chilly day and we spent a lot of time curled up on the comfy couches reading. The bed was extremely comfortable and all the linens are lovely. The space was immaculately clean! Outdoor space is fantastic with a beautiful view out over the lake. Comfortable patio furniture set up on the dock. Location of the cottage is great, with a few restaurants, bakery and shop 10 mins drive away. Communication with Amanda was great. She’s really helpful with clear directions to the cottage and instructions for everything organized in a booklet for your arrival. I would highly recommend anyone looking to relax by the lake rent this cottage. We are hoping to return often! The one is a gem! Thanks for having us Amanda!

Ashley is a gem and her place is truly a diamond. Her place was absolutely pristine (and I am super picky about the cleanliness of any place I stay in) - she had all the amenities and her whole place looks like it’s straight out of a magazine. Her cottage is in a beautiful and quiet area, giving us some real serenity from the city life. Although our stay was short it was truly perfect and we would love to come back especially during the fall when the leaves turn colour.

Our stay at the Eh Frame Haus was awesome. The cabin is beautiful and private and the property is spectacular. We loved the private dock, hot tub and big living room-was roomy for 4 of us, but definitely enough space for 6 or more. Janessa was a great host and check-in and everything was easy. Can’t recommend this place enough, we had a great time!

This is a great place to relax and enjoy nature. Cottage is well maintained and the lake view is just surreal. Will definitely come back.

Fantastic hosts and stay at Algonquin Delight! Well equipped with great cottage gear for a very comfortable stay! Power went out following a big storm and the hosts were very responsive! This was very much appreciated. Power came back shortly after. There were great options for board games and big windows for plenty of light to pass the time without power during the storm! Thanks for a great stay!

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Priolo on the Bay – Moody Escape, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Andy is a truly exceptional host. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to create a luxurious yet cozy escape. The cottage itself is immaculate – modern, stylish, and unbelievably comfortable. It strikes the perfect balance between high-end living and rustic charm. Tucked away in the heart of nature, it still offers every convenience imaginable: from fully stocked cutlery and snacks to campfire treats, firewood for both the sauna and outdoor firepit, a gas oven, extra lighters—you name it, it was there.The interiors are spotless and beautifully designed, making the entire space feel like a warm, peaceful retreat. Sitting by the fire, unwinding in the sauna, or just enjoying the serene forest surroundings—it all felt like a dream.This is the kind of place that makes you not want to leave!
