It is part of a complex of farm buildings dating back to 1610 and is located in a small, peaceful village with direct access to hiking and cycling paths. We have tried to create a cosy and comfortable space for you - ideal for families, couples or simply someone looking for some peace and quiet. Since we live next door, we are always at hand should you need anything.

The over 700 year old castle Haus Bamenohl is hidden behind old trees in the middle of an idyllic park in the heart of the Sauerland hills. As guest of the Vicounts of Plettenberg, who have been living here since 1433, you can relax for some quiet days alone, spend a romantic weekend for two at the fireplace or take a family outing. Our apartment in Wittelsberg, a quiet place in Ebsdorfergrund, is located directly at the forest and invites you to take long walks. Nearby are the castle park Rauischholzhausen and the historic university town of Marburg (12 km) with sights around St. Elisabeth. Car is recommended for maximum flexibility. A charging station for electric cars (11kW) is available and can be used on request (for a fee).
