Family-friendly holiday rentals in Brookings

This was a wonderful place! I loved the back yard and the amenities for the outdoor adventures. The house was impressively clean and the host was very friendly and helped with recommendations. This was my favorite Airbnb!

Great, serene spot in a beautiful part of our great state! The nearby market and cafe were a nice plus. All in the home was very comfy and well thought out. The only tip we would give the hosts is to add some grippers to shower floor as we found it quite slippery! We loved that there were playing cards, tennis and pickle ball equipment, and a BBQ so we could make a nice family dinner "at home." Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful spot with us! Highly recommend!

Michele’s place was perfect for our getaway. Lovely and quiet spot to enjoy the hot tub and the beach. Enjoyed watching the seal up on the beach during the day and the beautiful mornings. Perfect location quick drive into town! The fireplace was a lovely treat paired with the nice crisp Ocean air. Being able to sleep with the ocean breeze coming through the screen door was also absolutely perfect! and a little touch I loved was being able to turn a separate heater on in the bathroom so when I had to get up in the middle of the night, it was nice and toasty. Absolutely would recommend!

Our stay was great, Mathew was very quick to respond if I had any questions. The backyard was peaceful and the hot tub perfect. Would recommend to a friend!!

We had a wonderful family stay here. We loved the peaceful surroundings, the yard for the kids to run around in, the basketball hoop in the driveway, the hot tub, and the close access to restaurants and beaches in town and to hiking in the redwoods. This was a comfortably sized home for the 7 of us with ample area for hanging out together in the living room and eating areas. We would stay here again.

The View is located in a fabulous spot, and we slept soundly to the rush of the ocean waves. The hot tub is very private, right off the master bedroom, and the back yard is wonderfully secluded with the hedges and fence. I liked the well stocked kitchen, the lovely deck and the peaceful surroundings. Just a couple minutes into town for shopping and restaurants. We loved it!

An incredible stay! A beautiful house nestled off a lovely river in a sweet neighborhood. Felt secluded and quiet. The river was wonderful for the children to play by - it’s a steep drop off but my three year old could do it with me holding her hand. And my pre teens could be down and up in seconds. The house felt like a sweet grandma cabin- every thing accessible was very clean, but the house was old and anything hard to reach was more worn. Honestly, it added to the charm. It didn’t affect our stay negatively, but I could see that they’ve tried hard to keep mold at bay, and cover up moldy spots with caulk. Pretty soon, they will need to truly renovate some things. It was so beautiful/ happy there we budgeted time to stay and enjoy the surroundings at the house. Lovely slanted light thru the windows, idyllic view out the living room and kitchen to the lake. 15 mins to redwoods and 10 to beach. We can’t wait to go again! It was a dream!

This house was a great base for our vacation to explore the Redwoods. The proximity to the beach was perfect with a great view of the ocean from the deck off the upstairs bedrooms. We had plenty of space for our whole family to spread out. While we didn't cook at the house much, the kitchen appeared to be well-stocked. Everything was clean and as described in the information. We had a small snafu with the door code, but that was quickly resolved with excellent communication. Favorite area do not miss stops include Kin Khao Thai Eatery, Sea Front Baking Company, SeaQuake Brewing, and Fisherman's Restaurant to eat in town, and Trees of Mystery up the road a bit as a favorite attraction. Go see the lighthouse during low tide, watch the sea lions on the floating docks behind Chart Restaurant, and check out the tidepools along the beaches.

This place was so magical! The grounds were enchanting, beautiful and so relaxing! I did expect fairies and gnomes to appear! And the animals, the mini donkeys and dogs were delightful. It was so much more than we hoped for. We are already looking at dates to return. We did have a challenge with the water. It was completely, easily resolved but that can be stressful. Gratefully our host was incredibly responsive and kind. That is the measure of a fabulous host/property. It was the relaxing respite we needed.

This place is beautiful. You are surrounded by very tall trees everywhere. You can hear the river flowing from inside the house making it a peaceful stay. You have the most beautiful panoramic view of the woods. If you want to disconnect to enjoy nature, this is the perfect place. The cabin is made up of very old redwood and you can smell it as you walk in. Very nostalgic. The directions on how to get to the Airbnb make it very easy to get to there. We just had to make sure we looked at the map and directions ahead of time because there is no reception getting there. We got to see many deers and birds on the surrounding areas. We were also greeted by a banana slug! The place itself is beautiful and Jim was the most friendliest and helpful host. He gave us info on the trails and walk to the river from the Airbnb. I will definitely try to come back again later this year.

Clean, quiet, comfortable place to land after a long day traveling. Mary was kind and responsive, a welcoming host!

A quiet, charming cabin nestled under redwoods. The cabin was spotless and well provisioned for cooking in. It was a nice area to walk our dog. I wish we could have stayed longer, but our travel plans did not allow.

Cheri's place was wonderful! It was so peaceful, cozy but spacious, and clean inside. Cheri provided lots of helpful information up front. The house and the area felt very safe, and the neighbors were all so nice. Would definitely stay again!

Great host! So accommodating and responsive:) anything we needed the host made sure to provide. The water heater started leaking and from experience I know that it was about to go out. Host had someone come out and check it, sure enough it needed replacement. Water heater was replaced the next day! Wow that would have been just awful if there was no hot water. What a great experience this has been. Thanks a million michele

The ladies that own and operate the charming little house were very helpful with communicating with us when we had questions about the house and things to do and see in the area. They were wonderful hosts.

A beautiful location. Truly perfectly centered and tucked away in the Redwoods. The perfect place if you’re looking to unplug! Outside of a couple cobwebs here and there (Completely normal considering it is located in the woods), this was a beautiful stay for me and my family! Highly recommend!

Great location and nice place to stay with group of 10 people. The hot water in bathrooms is kind of serially available to all bathrooms so if at a time two bathrooms are in use, the hot water was not available to both or only one bathrooms. Other than hot water, we had blast and i would recommend this place to anyone or i would love to come back and stay here again.

lovely cozy home. loud neighbors across street is the only drawback. but that can't be helped! heater works great, very clean and comfortable. my only personal recommendation would be to bring slippers! floors are great and beautiful but tile and wood is hard and the feet. I had my daughter with me who is crawling and her feet and legs were still clean after crawling on the floors. very thankful we stayed here.

We loved our stay in Smith River! We stayed a bit longer term for about a month due to work. Rachael was always very responsive on messages any time we had any issues and ready to fix it. There was a couple small things that needed replaced in the kitchen and she swiftly sent us the things we needed to get things up and running. We didn’t use all the beds but I can say the room we stayed in had a comfy bed. One of the rooms our daughter used was a bit firm of a mattress. Overall a very positive experience, I would say a couple things could use some updating just due to wearing out over time such as sheets and towels, and then was a bit of a bummer that the yard was not mowed while we were there as it would have been much more usable for us and enjoyable for our kiddos to play in the nice little back yard :) not the end of the world but would have been nice. Very happy overall with our stay and would love to stay again sometime! Smith River is a very nice centrally located town too!

Super comfortable house in a fabulous location. We came for the redwoods but fully enjoyed the tide pools, crashing waves and watching sunsets from the porch.

I really enjoyed my short stay here and felt well taken care of from the minute I parked my car to when I left. Very good communication and excellent spot next to the beach
