We had a wonderful stay at the Red House! The space was very cozy, yet surprisingly roomy — perfect for relaxing and feeling right at home. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, and the setting felt peaceful and private throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and a quiet retreat.

What a beautiful property! Went for a girls trip and it was the perfect spot for us. Spacious for 4 people with an awesome deck and lawn to enjoy. It was so peaceful to sit out, watch the lake and read while you drank coffee in the morning. There were games we could play, a great fire pit to sit around and a hot tub for when ending the night. The space was very clean and organized, and had everything we could need. Would love to stay here again!

My friends and I stayed at this Airbnb as a surprise weekend away to celebrate our friend getting married. This Airbnb was the perfect spot for us, with lots of wonderful amenities on the property itself as well as a distillery and cider house within a less than 5 minute walk away. We were blown away by the attention to detail at this place, they are fully stocked with everything you could possibly need, including board games and outdoor activities. The entire property was pristine, inside the house and outside. The hosts were extremely kind and quickly responsive to messages. They even helped us with recommendations in the area. Do yourself a favour and book a stay here. My friends and I are hoping to return for another visit in the future! Thanks Wayne & Carolyn for a great stay. :)

Beautiful Airbnb for a girls weekend away! Everything was very clean and the Airbnb was decorated very nicely. It was the perfect spot for my bachelorette weekend. The hosts were nice enough to leave us a bottle of wine and a handwritten note for our stay. The host checked in with us throughout the weekend to make sure everything was going well, and we knew we could reach out to them at any point throughout the stay. They were quick to respond to any messages. The property was beautiful as well, and we really enjoyed the hot tub!

We had a wonderful bachelorette weekend at Joanie’s place! There were many games and water toys to keep us entertained our entire stay. We loved using the hot tub and sauna and had an all around blast! The bbq is in a perfect location to look at the pristine lake view as well. Cant recommend this place enough, perfect location and amazing amenities. Thank you Joanie!

We stayed at Luisa’s place for just under a week to celebrate my daughter graduating from Queen’s. We figured it would be nicer to stay in a hour than in a hotel and we weren’t wrong! The location of Luiza’s place is unbelievably beautiful. The lake is calm and secluded and surrounded by forest. The property is set up gorgeously and well maintained. Where-ever you are on the property you’re met with stunning views. Inside we enjoyed a fantastic kitchen that was well stocked as well as an open living space that allowed us to gather. The heated bathroom floors were a great touch. Quick disclaimer (that did not bother us at all, but for future travelers): Luiza isn’t kidding when she says its cliff side! Keep that in mind if you have any mobility issues. Thank you for opening your lovely home for us for such a special occasion.

Kirk’s listing is a gem ! It’s like having the best both worlds - you are staying right by the water but at the same time ( if you aren’t as outdoorsy as me) have all the amenities for a very comfortable stay. We enjoyed our stay very much, with my in laws and my pre-schooler - everyone found something to do both indoor and outside around the cabin. Kirk’s very meticulous with his instructions and labels ( which I loved!) , so everything was easy to find . Highly recommend !

The house is in an awesome location. Kayaks were put to good use. A lot of nature and wildlife to soak in right from the doorstep or backyard. Everything was in great condition. Also had our dog along for this trip and place was pet friendly as well (although going upstairs might not be for all pets 😂 certainly wasn't for my guy). The hosts have included all items required for a comfortable stay in every room. Enjoyed our stay and would be back for sure.

We used this house as a family base for a family wedding held nearby. Location was perfect for our needs and gave us enough space to all be together for multiple days. Very responsive host and easy check in!

this was the perfect cottage. didn't matter where you were you always had a view of the lake. beautiful dock for boats and a beautiful dock for relaxing on or to swim from. it was so relaxing and peaceful. watching the hummingbirds at the feeder was such a beautiful touch. sitting in the beautiful Adirondack chairs having my morning tea was fantastic. we even got a visit from an otter who just did his thing on the deck while we watched him from the big livingroom window. I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for relaxation and peace. the pictures don't do it justice. the host is great. the instructions we got ahead of time were great to have as we knew what we needed to bring. the place was absolutely clean. everything we needed was there. it really felt like it was my own place. the furniture and beds were all comfy. thank you thank you thank you dreamnest for sharing your place with others to experience tranquility. the name definitely suits it.

Absolutely spectacular. Hidden gem! If you are looking for something private but still within a 15-20minute drive to groceries this is the place to stay! You won’t be disappointed. Comfortably holds a family of 6! We had an absolute blast! Stunning property and open concept cottage. Lots of natural light and gorgeous view from the living room! The dock and wrap around deck were absolutely beautiful to enjoy for sunrise and sunset! 2 hour drive to Ottawa and 2 hours to Gatineau National Park! Highly recommend the drive into Gatineau park! And Pink Salmon trail! If you have fur babies, this park is very restricted due to the sensitive eco system! Really cute shops and restaurants in downtown Ottawa and in Gatineau Park! We absolutely will be coming back (: Thank you Rachael for being an incredible host! Very responsive to requests and very accommodating !

It was a great stay! The weather was freezing cold outside but inside the cabin was so warm! Amazing atmosphere by all the beautiful paintings and other little cute decorations in the cabin. Clean and neat everywhere, no upset smell. Had all the stuff you need for a comfortable stay. Very quiet at night, can have a very good sleep. Will definitely come again another time for a different experience of the area! Worth the price! The host responds quickly and very friendly.

The place was spectacular and so much more than we expected. Beautiful location and lovely neighbours. We spent our 3 days hiking and there were so many lakes and conservation areas, trails etc for that. It is truly a lovely spot. The cottage had everything we needed. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. We will be booking there again!

We spent four nights here with six adults, two kids, and an infant. It was just what we needed. Lots of great space for cooking, eating, and playing games. An extremely well provisioned kitchen. Gorgeous views of the lake! (We even had a number of bald eagle sightings.) Enjoyable day trips into nearby Westport. We would love to return in warmer weather to make use of the water activities. We had a great stay! Aaron was super communicative and responded promptly to any questions we had. Both the cottage itself and surrounding area was beautiful. Definitely bring your bug spray, but cannot recommend this place enough!

We had a wonderful family stay at Fernbrae for Thanksgiving. Kim & Bill are amazing hosts, easy to communicate with and always available. The kitchen is well equipped and the cottage is clean and has everything you need. It also has an amazing history while still being well maintained and updated. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed spending time on the front lawn and doing a campfire. Kim & Bill also gave us great recommendations! Thank you for an amazing stay! We hope to come back!

Stayed in early spring. Lots of books, games, movies to entertain. Internet was fast and reliable. Wood stove kept the cottage cozy. To cold to swim etc. Parents with small children be aware the path to the lake is steep with no railing. Overall loved the stay. Planning another in the fall.

We (couple, mid 40s) travel twice or three times a year and generally stay in holiday homes and we have never been in a house that comfortable, homely and tastefully decorated. The garden and lakeshore are just beautiful and calm and we would have loved to stay even longer. The house was equiped with everything we could think of and the communication with Robert and Kirsten was perfect. We hope to come back.

Carissa and Owen are great hosts and the cottage is the perfect getaway. Our group had an amazing time!

My wife and I loved our honeymoon stay here. The cottage was very charming with pretty views of the lake especially during sunset. The town of Napanee was also very charming, filled with local stores and not overrun with tourism. It’s only an hour drive to beautiful beaches on Lake Ontario as well. I had to delay my arrival a day later than expected but Julie was very gracious in accommodating. She also gave plenty of recommendations for the area and clear instructions.

The pictures don’t do this place justice, the house was amazing and very clean. I will be going back next time I’m up in Sydenham.
