Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Buena Vista

The Haven on Raven was the perfect house for our trip. The house was clean, functional and easily accessible. Definitely stay there on our next trip!

What a great place to stay in BV. The location is unbeatable. The space is stylish and comfortable. We look forward to staying here again!

Stop looking for better deals! This place was great! My 3 kids loved the bunk beds and we loved how clean and appointed this home is. We were able to cook, do laundry, make coffee....but still enjoy our vacation by walking to main street and sampling the shops and restaurants. The upstairs would get a bit warm but would cool right off with the fans and open windows (totally normal for mountain towns) and there was a bit of noise in the early morning from trucks from the lumber yard and restaurant deliveries to the alley behind the house), but nothing the comfortable beds and pillows couldn't cure. We stayed for the week and go to BV every couple of summers, we have already let Daniel know that we plan on staying at his place again the next time we go back...no hesitation!

Cute and clean. Great access to all the amenities BV has to offer. Best part were all of the deer that would be in the yard during our morning coffee on the porch. Very responsive and helpful with everything involving the house. The beds were a little smaller than we thought but not the worst in the world. Loved our time at the Farm house in BV. Would stay here again.

Milly's place was clean, spacious and homey. Milly was friendly and accommodating. We used the kitchen for simple cooking, and enjoyed remote working in the garden and the livingroom. 10 min walking to a grocery store and multiple small parks within driving distance. 10 min driving to two hot springs . Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed this spot. It’s a nice size and great location to walk for food and shopping. Clean and would have been great with our dog who we decided last minute to leave home. Hosts were great. We would come back! Recommend!

AMAZING house with beautiful views , peaceful location, and incredible house setup with hot tub, hammocks, and sauna . We loved the experience at this place and it had everything we needed to cook, comfortable beds, and plenty of room for all guests privacy. About 5-8 mins from town. We will definitely be back when visiting Buena Vista!

This was a perfect stop in the road for our trip. We enjoyed our stay and were able to fire up the grill to cook some steaks. This spot was everything as described. Only item to note, there is a small attached apartment unit next door that is shared with the Airbnb. Otherwise, this was a desirable location and the host and their accommodations were lovely!

It was a wonderful home! We enjoyed the stay alot! It is definitely as described, a cozy rest stop, but not really a place to spend all day.

Amazing stay right in the middle of Leadville. Waking up to the smell of coffee downstairs and being able to explore the main street was such a treat. Nick’s place had everything we needed with lots of cozy touches. Would definitely stay again.

Very comfortable apartment with everything we needed! The location is central to everything - the river, great restaurants, and we could see the mountains from bed. My husband had the best sleep the entire trip while we were here, it was very comfortable. The hotel was clean and very quiet, we didn't see or hear anyone else during our stay. We'd love to return to town and would stay here again!

We loved David and Lauren’s place! Looks just like the pictures and is right downtown so you can walk everywhere. The steam shower and hot tub were a great addition too. We would recommend!

Julie’s place was so cool and the location is perfect! Really enjoyed the history of the place, how comfortable everything was, and the patio has amazing views. I would definitely love to stay here again when visiting Salida 😊

WOW! What more can I say! Kitchen was the BEST appointed kitchen with all the tools needed which is rare for an Airbnb. Other amenities that were appreciated were books, space heater, warm blankets, and humidifier. Entire walkout basement apartment was comfortable and contained all needed items and more. Penny met us and showed us around the apartment. She was very informative. House was on a quiet cul de sac and Leadville is beautiful. If I went to Leadville, this would be where I would stay again. Thank you Penny!

We had such a great stay! The location is incredible—just seconds from so many amazing restaurants, beautiful hikes and bike paths, and a perfect spot to watch the wave. It was so easy to find, and the check-in instructions were super clear and simple to follow. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches—getting a free cup of coffee was such a fun surprise, and the host’s recommendations for places to eat were spot on. The space had everything we needed, including great amenities for making our own coffee and snacks. Would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed stay. It was nice to be out n downtown Salida so we could walk to everything. Designated parking was also helpful

We stayed here a couple of years ago, so we were familiar with the unit and surroundings. It's in an excellent location, bright and comfortable inside, and fairly priced. We'll stay here again if it's available on our next trip.

Great location. Easily could walk to trails or downtown. As described.

Loved the unit. It’s a historic hospital that has lots of character. Walking distance from town and very quiet for the most part. Rooms are bright in the morning so it’s perfect for early risers. When I was a kid this was referred to as the haunted hospital so it has a cool spooky feeling. I worked on the remodel when I was in high school in 2007 so it’s really amazing to see how original and authentic the property was kept.

Great location!! Very clean! Some slow response time over messaging but technology can sometimes be the problem. Thinner walls between units so some evenings were quite loud.

We had a great stay with our 15 month daughter! Tracy’s place was super walkable to both downtown and South Main. We especially loved the South Main area for our daughter due to the grassy park and river access! We loved the local recommendations and even though we tend to cook, we actually ate out for several of our meals and enjoyed them all! Would definitely stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay at this incredible historic property in Buena Vista! The location is unbeatable—right on Main Street with easy access to shops, restaurants, and everything the town has to offer. The home itself is beautifully restored and full of artistic touches that give it so much character. It’s clear that a lot of care went into every detail, from the unique artwork to the towel warmers and heated bathroom floors. The space was not only stylish but also extremely comfortable and well-appointed. We especially appreciated the thoughtful local suggestions provided—one of which led us to the amazing takeaway food store right next door, run by the sweetest owners and serving some of the best food we had on our trip. In fact, we loved the Airbnb so much, we decided to stay in for dinner just to soak it all in. Johnny, the host, was fantastic—super detailed and incredibly responsive.
