Kom eens overnachten in de Noardlike Fryske Wâlden. Deze omgeving staat bekend om de vele elzensingels. Een prachtige groene omgeving, met vele fiets- en wandelpaden. Gelegen aan de N358 ben je zo weer onderweg voor een bezoek aan de Waddeneilanden of de elf steden in Friesland. Onze tuin grenst aan de weilanden van Staatsbosbeheer en heeft een weids uitzicht. Met een beetje geluk zie je de reeën lopen. Voor 12,50 euro per persoon per nacht kun genieten van een heerlijk ontbijt in de morgen.

Idyllic Bedandbreakfastwalden( wâlden is the Frisian word for forests) is located in the National landscape of Northern Frisian forests. Characteristic is the ‘smûke’ scenery with thousands of miles of elzensingels, dykswâlen (wood ramparts) and hundreds of pingos and pools. The area has unique flora and fauna. The biodiversity here is great. A short distance from Groningen, Leeuwarden, Dokkum and the Ydillian Wadden Islands. The surroundings are very suitable for hiking, biking, canoe.

Wadnhûs, holiday home between Wad & Wâlden, Kollum

In the cozy water sports village Kollum, our complete vacation home is suitable for 2 people. Right in the cozy village center, close to shops and supermarkets. This house has its own entrance and a private south-facing garden. Ground floor with cozy sitting area and kitchen. In the room, there is a smart TV, and a nice workplace has been created. Beautiful bathroom. A fixed staircase takes you upstairs, where there is a spacious bedroom with a nice box spring. Private sauna can be booked.

Nature cottage the Twadde Hûske

The Twadde Hûske is a new apartment (opened April 2025) with underfloor heating which can be booked for 4 people. In consultation for 5 or 6 people by adding a folding mattress and/or camping bed, but this is only suitable for short stays. Further on, you can read more about the layout of the apartment. The Twadde Hûske has a wonderful view over the meadows with a lovely terrace. Literally everything in the apartment is brand new. Are you coming to try it? 🏡

This rural holiday home in Burum located on the border of Friesland and Groningen is equipped with every comfort. Such as dishwasher, wifi, washing machine, dryer, smart TV etc. The house has just been renovated and finished luxuriously. Here you can enjoy the tranquility and nature. Burum is close to the Lauwersmeer area and is also a good base to go to all kinds of beautiful places in Friesland and Groningen. The entire ground floor is wheelchair friendly.

At mini campsite de Grutte Earen, we offer a cozy mobile home for when you want to get away from it all. The mobile home has a nice view of the meadows and is located on the west side of the campsite. The mobile home can accommodate up to 4 people. We have a nice double bed. The second bedroom has 2 single beds. The mobile home has a spacious seating area. The kitchen has a 4-burner gas stove, coffee maker. A bathroom is available in the mobile home.

Rinsumageast, cozy cottage located on the edge of the forest.

"Come and relax in our cottage 'Welgelegen', on the edge of the forest. You can enjoy and relax here. You can also enjoy hiking and nature here. Within 10 minutes, you can be in Dokkum, and within half an hour, you can be in Leeuwarden or Drachten. You can park for free at the forest, right next to the cottage. All basic facilities are available, and this allows you to fully relax and enjoy your stay in Rinsumageast!"

The Swadde Cottage, sauna and hot tub (2 pers)

Welcome in this comfortable chalet, with much privacy, in our large woody garden. With a bedbox, pelletstove, large and nice porch with meadow view. Including made bed, towels, kitchen linen, coffee, tea, Wifi. Options for a fee and upon availability: bicycle rental, slow car charging, use of the shepherds hut sauna or Swedish hot tub (Størvatt without bubbles, not available in July-August).
