Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Burgh Castle

I stayed here for 2 nights with my elderly Mum, which we both really enjoyed - the house could comfortably hold up to 5 guests. A great combination of modern comforts and original features, with everything you could need for your stay. We used it as a base to visit Southwold & Dunwich (about 25 mins away), taking in Aldeburgh en route. The garden was a lovely, peaceful spot to relax in in the early evening sun when we returned. Beccles is also a nice small town with a picturesque river. We didn’t go out in the evenings, but there were a few pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Christine was very communicative and responsive, even checking what type of milk and bread we would prefer and checking in with us after a huge storm - a great host. Thank you!

Rebecca was very responsive from booking to check out. Very friendly and approachable. The accommodation exceeded all expectations. Beautiful cottage, had everything we needed and more. The food was a lovely surprise! Thank you. The toiletries were amazing too (they smell divine!). Very comfortable to relax and sleep. Really hope to come again and stay longer next time! So much more to explore!

This was a lovely and comfortable home for the 3 of us. Best part was the incredible outdoor garden and terrace. We enjoyed the games and books provided too. It was quiet and peaceful. Hannah was very friendly and responsive. Overall a great stay. One word of caution - the road passes very close by the front door, so it’s best to be very careful when exiting (especially for those who normally look left for traffic).

We booked Oak Barn to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary with all the family. We were blessed with a long weekend of beautiful weather. In fact it was so nice that we ate nearly all our meals al fresco in the garden which was fully enclosed meaning that our two dogs could wander in and out of the house. Rosie thoughtfully messaged us when we arrived to give us pointers on how to keep the house cool. The Barn is spacious and spotlessly clean with quality bed linen, towels and toiletries provided. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The layout in the house is perfect for extended or multigenerational families. It’s situated in a quiet country lane but within a few minutes you can be in Wroxham and the coast within half an hour. There was an excellent house manual with lots of suggestions for things to do but the weather was so warm that we tended to stay fairly local. All in all this was one of the best properties we have stayed in.

Just finished a very relaxing few days and it was everything we could have hoped for. Stunning view and so peaceful! Caravan had everything we needed. Spotless and clean. So sad to leave and am already wondering when I could next come and stay. Would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you Sara.

This has to be one of the best places we have ever stayed in! The barn is spotless, had everything you need - and wonderful touches such as garden games and board games. The surrounding area is peaceful - with birdsong all day long. We spent a short but fabulous visit enjoying the space, the garden, the views and the hot tub! Just wonderful. Shaun is incredibly helpful and friendly. We will certainly be going back!

Great place to stay, Linda wzs able to update the changes we needed straight away, and responded immediately. The lads were impressed with accommodation, it was very homely.

Great place to stay and an excellent location for visiting this side of Norfolk. Very quiet and peaceful, nice barn conversion with pleanty of room on three floors. Spacious off-street parking and we had use of a large pretty garden. The property was very clean, and had a modern fitted kitchen with excellent appliances. The house, in general, is very well equipped and very comfortable. Small but adequate shower room plus a handy ground floor cloakroom. The host lived next door and was available if needed. Excellent value for money and highly recommended.

Booked at very late notice but thankfully Ben got back to me quickly and was very responsive throughout the stay. The cottage is beautifully decorated and has everything you need and more. Felt very cosy and relaxed there. Loved the working stove. Great spacious parking facilities. There’s a hotel about 10 mins walk away that serves good food. Perfect location for exploring Norfolk.

This is a very special find. Every detail of the flat has been prepared with love and care. It’s a creative quirky space full of beautiful things. The location is only a couple of minutes from the start of the arty precinct leading into Norwich; lots of cafes and bars and studios on the walk into town. I used the back stairs once I got in- just easier to navigate . Communication from Tony and Caryn was friendly and clear and went above and beyond. Thanks😌

This was our second time staying at Laura’s place. It’s a great spot, close to beach and town and perfect for our young family (children aged 5 and 3). Hopefully we’ll be back again!

A lovely peaceful spot with pleasant village walk to the river from the door, as well as easy access to the main road. The accommodation was very comfortable with everything we needed and felt homely and clean. The riverside location was lovely, although rather more overgrown than shown on the pictures. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect location for a weekend in Norwich, however it is very loud at night. We also had a few people sleeping in the entrance of the flat on the first night but they appeared to have left by the morning. The flat is so lovely inside, has everything you need and is very spacious. However there was a lot of dust on the stairs and the bannisters. The location is perfect for walking everywhere, also the parking is literally about 2 mins away! Overall we loved our weekend and will definitely be back soon!

The location of Viv's flat was a great base for exploring East Suffolk without having to travel miles. Framlingham, Aldeburgh and Southwold were all in easy reach. The flat had everything we needed. It was small, but didn’t feel at all cramped and was exactly as described. We loved the position looking on to the churchyard at the back. Viv and her husband were charming hosts and very helpful with suggestions for places to visit. We had a lovely time!

We had such a lovely stay. The flat is very clean, nicely decorated and the outdoor area is beautiful. The sauna was fab and we loved taking a dip in the water. Would definitely stay again!

This is the second time we've stayed at this apartment and we've really enjoyed both times. It is superbly located just off Cromer centre, so easy access to shops and restaurants, but also very quiet. The apartment is well appointed and spacious and feels very homely. Fran and David are responsive and friendly in their communication. Overall: excellent.

We really loved the location of this place. It is super walkable to get to town, every person we came into contact with was super friendly, and we loved exploring the area/surrounding areas. It’s also very close to Holkham Beach and Brancaster Staithe which we enjoyed visiting during our stay. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Nicky! We hope to stay with you again on a future UK trip!

The annex was easy to find with clear, helpful instructions. The surroundings were lovely and all the facilities were just as described, absolutely great. We had a fantastic nights sleep ready for our onward journey. There were lovely little extras waiting for us on arrival and one beautiful dog, Mabel who came over for cuddles. Thank you for letting us stay.

Had a great few days’ stay in Annetta’s house – loved the character of the place and surrounding gardens. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Annetta is extremely friendly and helpful and her contact beforehand was very good. Nice touches include the hot tub and breakfast bits in the fridge. This is an ideal location to relax and explore the coast and inland. I would definitely recommend and intend to return to explore more of the area. Many thanks!
